1:02 A.M.-1:06 A.M.: Jack and Chase split up in the search for Nina. Chase radios Jack and reports that he sees a light in the distance, but it turns out to be a dead member of a Delta team with his flashlight still turned on. Before Chase can radio, Nina appears behind him and orders him to drop his weapon. Chase does and then Nina makes him radio Jack and report a Code Six. Nina asks Chase about Amador and Chase tells her that they all got ripped off. She orders Chase to walk down the hill, but Jack suddenly slugs her from behind and disarms her. Jack tells Chase to call the airfield and arrange for their flight back to LA. Chase asks Jack what his plans are for Nina, and Jack says he's going to interrogate her. Nina voices her protest. Chase hesitates for a moment before leaving for the airfield. Jack cocks his gun as Nina is on her knees. She begs for Jack to spare her life in exchange for information about Amador and the virus, telling him she knows Amador will find a buyer for the virus in LA and drop it off, and that she can help them find him. Jack calls Tony and tells him that Nina wants to cut a deal in exchange for information. Jack is clearly unhappy about this, but he grudgingly takes her to the airfield.

Tony and Michelle exchange a glance, probably remembering what happened last time they cut a deal with Nina. Tony tells Chloe to go talk to Chappelle, then calls Kim to let her know that Jack and Chase are okay and headed back to CTU. Chloe goes into Chappelle's office and he confronts her with the lies she's been telling about the baby. Chloe says she doesn't really have a boyfriend, but she won't say who the father is. Chappelle orders the baby to be taken to the lab for tests and puts Chloe under guard while they call the authorities.



1:06 A.M.-1:12 A.M.: Palmer briefs his staff on the latest developments with Amador and the virus. Wayne doesn't know what the odds are that Amador will release the virus, since he is only an arms dealer with no known agenda. Agent Pierce interrupts to tell Palmer that Sherry is calling for him. Palmer talks to her and Sherry tells him of Kelly's abduction from his trailer. Palmer tells her to come back, but Sherry says she wants to talk to Julia first. Palmer tells her not to confront Milliken, but she says she knows what she's doing.

Jack arrives at the airfield with Nina in custody. Chase asks what happened and Jack tells him about her willingness to cut a deal. They load Nina on to the plane and prepare for takeoff.

Amador is in the air on his jet, and calls someone named Marcus on a cell phone. He tells him that he has the virus and will be in LA within the hour.



1:16 A.M.-1:25 A.M.: Julia gets a call from Sherry, who asks about Alan's whereabouts. Julia says he just went to bed. Julia gives Sherry their gate code and Sherry tells her to make sure all security cameras are turned off. Julia isn't sure if she can, but Sherry orders her to find a way. Julia hangs up and goes into Alan's bedroom. Alan has been talking to someone on the phone and Julia says she's going to drink some tea to settle her stomach. Alan says he knows she felt degraded by what happened earlier, but its all behind them now. "I know," Julia says ominously as she leaves.

Jack tells Nina that he let her live, so it's time for her to spill what she knows about Amador. Nina says that Amador always deals with a man on the west coast named Alvers, but that's the only name she knows him by. Jack calls Tony and has him run a check on the name. Then he goes to Chase and asks about his hand. Chase tries to give Jack the cold shoulder, since he's angry that Jack didn't let him in on the under-cover operation with the Salazars. Chase reminds Jack that he put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, not knowing if it was empty. Jack tells Chase that he gambled that Ramon wouldn't give him a loaded gun. He tells Chase that in this business, you never know how a scenario will play out until it's over. Jack tells Chase that he should have followed orders and stayed at CTU, but then he admits that he probably would've done the same thing in Chase's shoes. Jack tells Chase that their top priority now is to find the virus.

Agent Dalton tells Tony that they've found the connection between Amador and Alvers. Apparently, Marcus Alvers and Amador sold anthrax once before and they were photographed together. Tony tells Adam to contact Division and tap into their resources so they can learn more about Marcus Alvers.

Tony calls Jack and tells him that Nina's story checked out. Nina says she knows more than she told before and tells Jack that she trusts him to keep his word when presenting her case to the Department of Justice. She tells Jack that she has a phone number that will give him the internet socket that Alvers uses. Jack gets a sat phone and dials the numbers that Nina gives him, but suddenly the phone goes dead. At CTU, everyone's systems start to lock up. Jack tries to dial again, but Nina tells him that once was enough. Shocked, he grabs her, demanding to know what she did. Nina tells him that he just triggered a worm in CTU's system that will destroy all agency connectivity. Tony orders everyone to shut down their computers as alarms start to go off.



1:29 A.M.-1:36 A.M.: Jack is on the phone with Tony, explaining how Nina triggered the worm. Jack thinks that she planted the worm while she worked at CTU, and that she hid it in a driver that no one would ever upgrade. Jack tells Tony to get Chloe on it, but Tony is reluctant since Chloe is in custody. Jack tells him that now isn't the time to take her out of play. He explains that terrorists are always trying to hack into the CTU database and if the worm eats through their firewalls, agents all over the world will be targets by morning. Nina tells Jack to turn the plane around and go back to Mexico. If he does, she'll give them a code to slow the worm down. Once she's safely away, she'll give Jack the kill code for the worm. Jack knows her too well and he isn't buying it.

Tony persuades Chappelle to let Chloe go for the time being, since she can help combat the worm. Chloe runs down to the floor and begins shouting orders to Adam.



Sherry arrives at the Milliken house and punches in the gate code. She sneaks up to the house and meets Julia through the kitchen entrance. Sherry tells Julia that she knows about her life, and that she wants a real man but doesn't want to lose Miliken's money or security. Sherry goes on to explain about Kelly's disappearance and how she's sure Alan is involved. To prove this, Sherry needs to get a hold of Alan's cell phone. Julia doesn't want any part of it, so Sherry slips off her coat and shoes and sneaks into Alan's bedroom herself. She takes his cell phone and slips out. Alan stirs, but then falls asleep again.



1:41 A.M.-1:47 A.M.: Chloe is working frantically with Adam to fight the worm. She tells Adam that she's upset that he and Kim stabbed her in the back. Adam tells her that she would've done the same thing, since she's the biggest rule freak in the book. Chloe says that she's done a good job of breaking the rules to protect her friend. Adam asks who, but before Chloe can answer, the computers start beeping. It seems that the worm is speeding up.

Sherry is talking to someone named Brian, who is tracing the numbers on Alan's phone. Sherry hangs up and hands the cell phone back to Julia. She tells Julia to go back to bed and to pretend that this evening never happened. Just as Sherry is about to leave, Alan comes rolling into the room to ask Julia why she took his cell phone. He spots Sherry and puts two and two together. Sherry accuses him of kidnapping Kevin Kelly and warns him to back off David or she'll expose him.

Jack is talking to Chloe as Chase goes over to talk to Nina. He warns her that if she tries to play Jack one more time, he'll kill her. "Is that so?" Nina says in a sinister tone. Jack comes over to Nina and puts a laptop down in front of her. He tells her that if she wants any kind of deal, she'll have to slow the worm down. Nina talks to Chloe and gives her a code to reduce the speed of the worm. Once the worm slows, Nina orders Jack to turn the plane around. Jack tells her that she's going to LA to help them find Amador, then she's going to prison.

Sherry and Alan continue to fight. Alan tells her that he made her childrens' father president of the United States. Sherry chides him, saying that the reason Julia went out to find another man is because he's not a man at all, accusing him of being a small, sickly little boy who lords his money over people. Alan starts to gasp and tells Julia to get him his pills. Julia goes for a bottle on the table, but Sherry stops her, telling her that this is her way out. Alan crawls over to get his pills. He almost takes one, but collapses before he can swallow it.



1:52 A.M.-2:00 A.M.: Julia panics over Alan's death, but Sherry tells her that if they are found out, Julia will go to prison. Sherry tells her to go to bed and come out for a drink in an hour. She must pretend to discover Alan's body and then phone the police. Julia is quite shaken and Sherry menaces her to make sure she gets the point.

Chloe seems to be at a loss as to how to beat the worm. Tony realizes that they must give into Nina's demands. He calls Jack and orders him to turn the plane around. Jack tells Tony that it won't solve anything and that they can't keep giving into Nina. Tony argues that they have to prevent all of their agents from being compromised. Jack hangs up and tries again to persuade Nina to give them the code to stop the worm. Nina refuses and suddenly, the plane starts to turn around. Jack demands that the pilot continue to LA, but the pilot says that Tony ordered him to reverse course. Jack pulls a gun on him and orders him to land the plane. The pilot does so and Jack starts to argue with Tony again. Before they get too far, Chloe comes up with a solution that might stop the worm. She and Adam type codes into the computers and the worm stops, then starts, then stops again, and the monitors go back to normal.

Tony calls Jack and tells him that the worm is dead and that their systems are up and running. Jack is more than happy to relay the news to Nina, as he gives her another evil grin.

Chappelle commends Chloe on her work in stopping the worm, but tells her that Child Protective Services will have to hold on to the baby until she starts answering questions. Chloe gives in and tells Chappelle something, then runs into Kim, who wants to know about the baby. Chloe tells her that she was just taking care of the baby while the father was unavailable. Kim demands the name of the father. Chloe says it's Chase.
