11:02 A.M.-11:08 A.M.: Under the Sixth Street Bridge, Tony gives a statement and firemen hose down the flaming helicopter, as Jack talks to a tech who has found Saunders' laptop. He wants to try to pull info off of it, but Saunders assures Jack that he's wasting his time. Saunders says that the other 11 vials are in the hands of true believers in his cause and that he was serious about his demands earlier in the day. He explains that his couriers have been instructed to release the vials at noon. Saunders will only stop them if he's on his private plane to North Africa by noon. "That's not gonna happen," Jack says. Saunders said the Bosnian secret police couldn't break him in two years, so its doubtful Jack could do it in less than an hour. Jack radios his men and tells them to bring him Saunders' daughter.
An agent demands Tony's gun and another puts him in cuffs. Chase and Jack try to defend Tony, but the men tell them that Tony is under arrest by order of Hammond.
Another agent brings Jane to Jack and he asks her to try to talk to her father. He tells her to make it personal and try to connect with him. Jane tries her best, telling Saunders that in spite of everything he's done, she still loves him. Saunders says he won't let Jack use her to manipulate him. He says he's making the world a better place for her sake and that she'll look back on what he's done some day and thank him. Jane realizes that her dad is a fanatic and turns away. Jack orders his men to get a helicopter ready.
11:09 A.M.-11:14 A.M.: Sherry is hanging out on her front porch when she gets a call from her ex-husband. Palmer tells her that he's ready to talk and asks her to meet him at a park in 25 minutes. Sherry complains at first about the short notice, but eventually agrees. Palmer hangs up and calls Wayne, who is waiting with Foxton in a parked car across the street from Sherry's place. Palmer tells Wayne that he's getting Sherry away from there so he'd best find the evidence before she gets back.
Jack and Saunders arrive at the Chandler Plaza Hotel. Jack tells Saunders that he'll put him inside the building if he doesn't disclose the locations of the vials, but Saunders doesn't budge. Jack orders Chase to bring Jane from the helicopter. Chase complies and Jane asks what she's doing there. Jack tells Saunders that he'll put her inside the building if he doesn't talk. Saunders says Jack won't actually go through with it since he's a government agent. Jack orders Chase to send her inside. Jane starts to scream as Chase reluctantly pushes her inside of the makeshift tunnel that separates the hotel from the outside world. Guards push her along screaming as alarms go off and a disinfecting mist drifts down on her from above. Saunders screams at Jack to get her out of there, but Jack tells him that everything that happens to her is on Saunders. As Jane gets closer, Jack grabs Saunders and tells him that once she's infected, he'll make him watch her die. A guard is about to open the door and push Jane inside, when Saunders cracks. Jack looks relieved as he tells his men to stop. Saunders says that the 11 vials are all tagged with GPS locaters which can be tracked. Jack asks where the codes are and Saunders says he memorized them. Jack orders Jane to be brought out of the tunnel.
11:18 A.M.-11:26 A.M.: Jack has set up a computer outside of the hotel and Saunders has given him the GPS codes. Apparently, one signal is missing, and it just happens to be the courier who is in LA. Jack orders Saunders to be taken back to CTU so he can give the courier's description to a sketch artist. Jack calls Adam and tells him to do a search on the courier, who's name is Arthur Rabens. Adam then transfers Jack to Hammond who has taken charge of CTU. Jack briefs Hammond on the 11th vial and Hammond says they've alerted the authorities at the 10 other locations around the country to be ready to set up shop in case the virus gets out elsewhere. Jack tries to convince Hammond that Tony should be released from custody. Jack says he did the same thing a few years ago, but Hammond says the circumstances were different. Jack tries to argue, but Hammond isn't having it.
Tony is brought into CTU in cuffs, past a glaring Chloe. Michelle sadly watches him from another room. Tony is taken into a holding room and Hammond tells him that someone is coming to take his statement. Tony asks to talk with Michelle, but Hammond refuses. Hammond offers Tony a lawyer, but Tony refuses. Hammond runs down the list of charges against Tony--he denies none of them. Then Hammond caps it off with the big one: Tony committed treason and it is punishable by the death penalty. Even if they cut him some slack, he'll do at least 20 years. Tony doesn't look happy.
Wayne and Foxton continue to watch Sherry's house when Julia Milliken calls. She whines because the police are coming to arrest her for her husband's murder. Wayne tries to console her when Foxton taps his arm and points. Wayne sees Sherry leaving and has to hang up the phone. They walk across the street and Foxton breaks into Sherry's as they pull on rubber gloves.
Outside the hotel, Jack and Chase watch live video feed of agents in San Francisco as they take down Saunders' courier and get the vial. One down, 10 more to go.
11:30 A.M.-11:38 A.M.: Wayne and Foxton continue to search Sherry's home as Palmer waits at the park for her to arrive. She finally shows up and Palmer gets right down to it, telling her that he's prepared to give her everything she wants. He'll make her his defacto right hand and give her a place in his administration. She gets pissy and starts to leave. Palmer asks her what's wrong. Sherry says she wants a permanent place in his life again--she wants to be his wife and the first lady. Palmer reluctantly agrees to her proposal and takes her in his arms. Sherry's double-cross radar suddenly goes off and she pulls away, accusing him of toying with her. She says that he should consider her acceptance rescinded and that John Keeler will be the next president. She walks off as Palmer watches helplessly.
Palmer calls Wayne and tells him that he failed and Sherry is on her way home. Wayne says they need more time, but Palmer tells him to book it. Foxton finds a false staircase that hides an entrance to the cellar. They head downstairs and Foxton finds an electronic wall safe. Foxton knows a guy who can help him crack the combination.
Chase continues to watch live video feed from outside the hotel, as agents report that the couriers in New York, Vegas and Seattle were taken out, but the guy in Denver was making a phone call before they got to him. Chase relays this to Jack, who hopes that the courier wasn't able to warn the others before they got him. Meanwhile, Adam has locked on to the signal in LA. He sends it to Chloe, who tells Jack that Rabens is heading for a shopping mall. Jack and Chase run to their car and take off to intercept.
11:42 A.M.-11:48 A.M.: Saunders is now in custody at CTU and is giving Rabens' description to a man putting the picture together on a computer.
Michelle storms into Hammond's office and demands to know why she can't see Tony. He tells her that Tony is under arrest for treason. Michelle defends Tony, saying that his actions ultimately lead to Saunders' capture, but Hammond doesn't buy it. He tells her to put herself in Tony's place and if she'd do what he did, she should resign now.
Chloe is communicating with Jack and Chase who are en route to the mall. She alerts them that the couriers in Flagstaff and DC have been neutralized, and guides them toward the GPS signal. As they turn down a street, Chloe says Rabens should be right in front of them, but the street is empty. Jack is confused until he realizes that the signal is coming from underneath them--Rabens is using the subway. Jack tells Chloe to stop the train in the tunnel and to send Hazmat teams to the station.
Wayne and Foxton are still working on the safe when Wayne hears a car pull up. He goes upstairs and looks out a window--it's Sherry. He runs back downstairs and tells Foxton that they have to scram, but Foxton suddenly hits on the code that opens the safe, but it's empty. Wayne and Foxton run upstairs, but Foxton doesn't want to leave until they find what they're looking for. Foxton ducks behind a kitchen counter as Wayne waits sheepishly in the living room for Sherry to walk in. She does and sees Wayne standing there. She puts two and two together and figures out what the Palmer brothers have been up to. Wayne can't say much and looks guilty as hell, but while Sherry is giving him a tongue-lashing, Foxton sneaks up behind her and clobbers her on the jaw. She drops unconscious and Foxton frisks her, and finds the bottle taped to her back and holds it up for Wayne to admire.
11:51 A.M.-12:00 P.M.: Jack and Chase are at the subway station as the train pulls in. They know they'll have to be careful since they don't have a complete description of Rabens yet. Jack scans the passengers inside the cars as the train stops, but he doesn't see anyone who resembles the partial description. As the passengers debark, Chloe reports that the GPS signal is moving north. Chase follows a crowd of non-descript men up some stairs as Chloe relays that the signal is moving upward. Chase follows the signal down another escalator to the area where Jack is waiting on a bench. The group of men has thinned out as Chase continues to follow. Chloe reports that the signal has stopped moving, just as a guy holding a shopping bag stops to examine a city map. Jack gets behind him, pulls his gun and orders him to drop the bag. The guy does so and Jack kicks him to the ground as Chase and other agents arrive. Chase scans the bag and detects the signal coming from it. Chase dumps the bag and follows the signal, which is coming from a sweater. The sweater is folded around a pack of cigarettes. Chase empties the pack and the tracker tumbles out. Jack realizes that Rabens took the tracker off the vial. He orders his men to shut down the station.
Wayne and Foxton run across the street to their car. They are about to make their getaway when Wayne sees Julia Milliken pulling into Sherry's driveway. Wayne orders Foxton to stay in the car and gets out. Inside, Sherry is picking herself up off the floor when she sees Julia standing over her. Julia says that the police are out to arrest her and now she'll have to spend the rest of her life in jail because of Sherry. "I told you to keep your mouth shut," Sherry mumbles through her bruised jaw. Julia pulls a gun from her purse and points it at Sherry as Wayne rushes in. "You have been lying your whole life, but you won't lie your way out of this," Julia says.
Sherry tries to convince Julia that she's going to be Palmer's wife again, so she can help get her off. Wayne begs Julia to put down the gun. Julia hesitates for a moment, then starts to lower the gun. Sherry looks relieved. Julia shoots Sherry twice in the gut. Julia then puts the gun to her head and pulls the trigger again. Wayne screams and cradles Julia's now lifeless body in his arms.
Chase tells Jack that no one left the station since the train stopped. Jack orders teams to start searching the tunnels for Rabens.
Tick, tick, tick...
