Logic/Details/Plot Holes - » This time I paid more attention to the details to see what 24 writers would do to make this episode more interesting, since I really don´t knew what they had prepared, if the Main Villain was caught. I mean, where is the tension then? This is why I don´t appreciate Virus plot made in a show like this, because you can lose all the tension. An virus will not be release but a bomb could explode, because the damaged would be more contained and the same with attacks against the president.

Progress -» Two character deaths. Saunders Confess. They still looking for the Last Man with the virus.

Emotions/Stimulation/Highlights -» This time tony scenes were boring. Jack craziness was more cool to see. Palmer last Plot is more interesting since the semi conclusion was really unexpected.

Ending - » Before the Last Scene, that was unexpected and there are some kind of satisfaction, the last scene is nothing.

Overall - » This episode managed to be good, but I think that this episode deserves at least a 7, because this is the goodbye for one of the great characters of 24. It really seems that this chapter will end bad, for Jack, Palmer and Tony.

So, this episode has two major storylines - one is Jack who is after the last one of the virus holders and it all ends up in metro and they get the wrong man and now the right one have to know they are after him. So, it will all go to the last episode.

The second is Sherry. She has forced Palmer to take some other kind of acts and Wayne goes to her house to get the bottle but Julia gets there.. that was surprise and it all ends in blood.

I think the most powerful moment of the whole episode was when they managed to get Saunders talk by threatening her daughter.. poor girl.
  • What's that over the horizon?

With Saunders captured, the only thing to do now is track down all the couriers planning to release the virus across the country. This episode begins the short, two-hour arc where CTU goes through its final phase in stopping the Cordilla virus. Jack manages to squeeze the courier locations out of Saunders by using Jane as bait, and teams up with Chase to see things to the end.

The writers wisely chose to conclude the Palmer/Sherry/Milliken subplot in this hour, leaving the finale open for Jack and CTU. While Palmer distracts Sherry, Wayne and Foxton go through her house to find the incriminating pill bottle. This wasn't all that bad; it was actually fun to watch at times. But it's done now.

To me, the rest of S3 is just filler for Tony and Michelle. I realize those two had to be kept around until the end of the season because they're main characters, but there's really nothing they do in these last two hours that couldn't have been skipped altogether without hurting the story too much. Then again, I'm in the minority that finds them overrated. Or maybe I'm just the only person.

By the end, everybody's focusing on Jack and Chase as they close in on the final courier, Arthur Rabens, in a subway. It's the main story that requires the viewers to watch the next episode (like it's gonna be any story BUT Jack's), and it prepares us all for a great finale.

    Hourly Highlight:

"When your daughter is infected, I'm gonna make you watch her die." That's our Jack.

The beginning of the episode was very well done - with Tony Almeida being arrested and charged with treason. It seems as if the writers are deciding his fate for season 4. He can go to jail if they opt to go that route or they can choose to have Devid Palmer pardon him for the crimes that he commited. In the end, I thought the beginning of this episode was very good, the middle was terrible, and the ending was pretty good too. The middle portion of the episode filled with David and Sherrys Palmers conversation along with Wayne conducting a search of the house was very filler for so late in the season. Consdiering that most of the time was spent as a lost cause, seeing as how Sherry had the bottle on her the whole time (which was pretty obvious to me). The finale looks to be set up pretty well, with the primary ending being a hunt for the man in the train station. The fact that NO ONE left the train station in the two minutes the Jack got the wrong guy was kind of wierd. If they had a perimiter team in place thats fine, but they never said that. In the end - good episode, just too much junk in the middle with the Palmers.

Jack finally got his hands on Saunders, but getting the location on the missing vials is a lot tougher than he thinks. He resorts to questionable tactics in order to force some information out of Saunders. David Palmer meets Sherry in order to discuss about her blackmail against him. Tony Almeida receives a reprimand from division for breaking protocol. The emotions in this episode are really high as the plot comes to a climax, but things don't slow down yet. Jack Bauer still has a lot of obstacles to go through within the final hours, it's really exciting, I love this episode.
  • Seems like the writers ran out of idea... again.

24 writers are definately not working together, don't have the season story pre-planned, and have the iq of 24.

Sorry, but right now I feel like that.

Season 1 had repetative things at the end. Kim getting kidnapped again, Jack being controlled by the Drazens again...

season 2 jumped the shark after the bomb went off, for loooong episodes, nothing happened, just the last few was great but the storyline changed so much - in a bad direction - it wasnt as great..

season 3 is so complicated. first few episodes mean nothing, i mean, it was all to set up fake moles, kind of fake prison break, fake everything. Then, wow, mexico, Salazars are struggling, so is Jack, so does Chase. They dotn even have the virus, uhh ohh. Oh yes. Nina.. how boring you can get, sorry.

Sherry... AGAIN' WhY AGAIN, SO BORIng, WHY?????

and now Wwhy KILL her OFFF? Whats the point?????

Killed Chappelle. Probably one of the bedst characters in 24 without logic. I mean, COME ON, dotn tell me, that CTU could afford THAT. And now,. Sherry. Riiiiight. Of course Jack never dies. Nor does Tony. The rest... die!

It is funny how the writers cant think of anyzthing else to shock the audience and to keep the story moving. Kill, kill, kill. Writing a character off the show? Nah it only works with boring characters like Kyle, or ,Dr Anne...Cool characaters get killed off. ANd in the next hour)after they killed off) none cars about them. Oh Oh, Mason died, who cares? NODOBY. Chappelle? NOBODY.

    Rrrrrite.

24 is trying too hard its actualyl ridicilious. Michelle wont die... Gael does... Yea is this a soap opera? No. So, away with the shipping stuff, please.

I want every 24 episode be like this: twists, action, drama, adventure. Not soap.

Killing is alright, but not like this.

Btw Sherry doesnt deserve silent clock? Wtf??? Rright. Chappelle got silent clock, Sherry didnt. And one mor enote: Where are the kids of the Palmers? At the start of S2 Keith was with his mother at least thats what he said so...

Badly written, no logic, 24 is going down, sry.
  • Looks like the finale is going to be great.

Looks like the finale is going to be great.

First things first, Sherry's Death. She deserved it. I was surprised when she died, but it was pretty obvious that something like that was going to happen.

Jack finally has Saunders but he's not talking, and no threat will work except for one, Saunders' daughter. I think Jack would have gone through with his threat & exposed Jane to the virus if Saunders didn't talk. Afterall, he did shoot Chapelle.

Poor Tony was arrested. What he did was wrong, but why is it that Jack gets away when he does something like that (season 1) & Tony gets arrested? I wonder what will happen to him?
  • Sherry Palmer: We'll miss you.

Looking back, the biggest thing that happened in this episode was obviously Sherry's death. I was shocked to see her go and I think it was a huge mistake on the part of the writing staff to kill her off. Isn't there a way to just write characters off on this show instead of having to kill them?

Also, I had a lot of this episode spoiled for me by giving into my temptations and reading spoilers for it before it aired. That was a huge mistake, believe me. Some of the stuff weren't surprises and lost emotional impact since I knew they were coming. Word to the wise: Avoid spoilers for this show like the plague...or the Cordilla virus. :)

    Pros

-I loved everything that had Sherry in it in this episode. This was probably her best episode ever and definitely had her top scene. I was very impressed with her.

-Great intense scene with Jack ordering Jane Saunders into the Chandler Plaza Hotel.

-I really liked Jack defending Tony to Brad Hammond. The whole conversation was very well done.

-I loved the character of Foxton. The raid on Sherry's house was great.

-The best scene of the episode and Sherry's best scene ever was when she met with Palmer at the ballpark. Her finally revealing that she wanted to get back together with Palmer in this episode had me laughing for about 5 minutes straight. So perfect. Now *that* is the Sherry Palmer we know. Palmer was also brilliant, especially when he accepted her request. Perfect music there also.

-Foxton's wicked right hand to Sherry was great and the noise it made was even better. Foxton rocked.

-There's just something undeniably cool about Jack in a subway station. Great camera work in the subway station as well.

-Great stuff there at the end in the station.

-Shocking ending with the murder-suicide. It capped off what was easily the best Palmer and friends storyline of Season 3 in an episode.

    Cons

-I didn't like how they changed the music for the beginning of the "Previously on 24" segment.

    -Extremely slow beginning.

-The whole Tony treason storyline seemed off to me. I guess it was just weird introducing a storyline with two episodes left in the season.

-The recovery of all of the viruses seemed anti-climactic.
