2:02 A.M.-2:06 A.M.: Point Mugu Naval Air Station: Jack debarks from the plane and unloads a handcuffed Nina. A CTU agent greets them and offers to escort Nina back to CTU, but Jack won't let her leave his sight.
Chase gets a call from Chloe, who warns him that news about the baby is out. Chase asks Chloe if Kim knows that its his. Chloe says yes and Chase asks how she took it. "I think she's kinda pissed," Chloe retorts.
Chappelle briefs the team and tells them that Amador is in LA and has possession of the virus. He says that he has enough of the virus to infect a major metropolitan area, and their only lead to finding him is Nina Myers. Chappelle asks Adam for an update on Alvers, but Adam says they're not sure that he's in the area. Chappelle asks about their latest info from Interpol, but Tony informs him that they haven't been able to access reports on Interpol since it hasn't been updated lately. Chappelle asks who is in charge of updating European information, and Michelle admits that it's her. She says she didn't think it was a priority. "Obviously, it was," Tony snaps at her. Chappelle admonishes them that they can't afford any more major mistakes during the operation, and ends the meeting. Michelle exits quickly and won't respond to Tony.
2:06 A.M.-2:09 A.M.: Wayne updates Palmer on the situation with Amador and the virus. Palmer tells Wayne to alert the appropriate agencies just as the intercom beeps and the secretary announces to Palmer that Sherry is there to see him. She enters and Wayne pointedly ignores her as he leaves. Palmer tells Sherry that he brought her into help him and not make things worse. He blasts her for going to Milliken's home, but Sherry denies going there and claims that she changed her mind and pulled over to the side of the road to make phone calls instead. Palmer seems to believe her.
Jack arrives at CTU with Nina, and Chappelle orders her to be taken to an interrogation room. Jack questions Chappelle about the security in the building, but Ryan brushes him off and orders him to report to medical. Jack says there's nothing wrong with him, but Chappelle cuts him off by telling Jack that he knows about his drug use. Jack is unable to deny it and Chappelle again orders him to go get checked up.
Adam tells Kim that Jack and Chase have just arrived and she goes to meet them. She runs into Nina, who is being brought in for questioning. The two women exchange a cold glare as Nina passes. Kim runs up to her father and they embrace, while Nina glances back and glares at them again.
2:13 A.M.-2:22 A.M.: Jack tells Kim that he has to go debrief with Chappelle. As he's walking away, Kim tells him that she knows about his drug problem. Jack gives her another hug and tells her that he was too ashamed to admit it to her. He tells her that he may have to enter a treatment program when this is all over. Jack heads for the clinic and runs into Chloe, who tells him that it was a difficult time without him. Kim sees Chase enter the building, but she walks away from him when he tries to talk to her. Meanwhile, Julia is resting uncomfortably in bed, when her maid discovers Alan's body and calls for help.
Jack is in the clinic and is giving a blood sample when Chase enters. He tells Jack that Nina is being interrogated by Tony and that he will monitor it on a video feed. Jack is uneasy about Nina and wants double security on all the doors. Chase tells Jack about the baby, claiming that he didn't know about it until the mother just dropped her off and left one day. Jack tells Chase to square things with Kim.
Michelle and Dalton are setting up monitors so they can view Nina during her interrogation. Nina is shown on one of the monitors and she acts as if she can see Michelle. Dalton asks Michelle if she feels weird about the fact that Tony will be the one to question Nina, given that they were lovers at one time. Michelle doesn't answer, but she looks annoyed. Tony enters and tells them to do a high-res on Nina's eyes. He concludes that Nina is tired and that they might be able to pick up a tell. Tony asks Michelle if they're okay. "We're fine," she says coldly.
Tony enters the interrogation room and begins questioning Nina. He asks her about Amador and where to find the virus. Nina says that she already told Jack everything. Tony says he wants her to tell him. "First Jack, now you. What does that remind me of?" Nina smirks. Tony brushes off the remark, but Michelle gets even more annoyed. Tony continues to press Nina about Amador, but she comments on Tony's ring. She tells him that he better have run a background check on his wife, just so he doesn't make the same mistake twice, as Michelle begins to boil in the observation room. Tony asks Nina where to find Alvers, claiming that they know little about him. Tony lets it slip that Alvers once had an examination and was treated for HIV. This causes Nina's pulse to spike, which Dalton picks up. Michelle tells Tony through his earpiece that Nina's probably had sex with Alvers. Tony chides Nina, telling her that they can tell that her pulse is spiking, but she still seems outwardly unmoved.
Amador speaks to someone in a foreign language through a hole in a door and enters a dingy bar. He finds Alvers in the back and they go into a private room, where Amador sets down the briefcase containing the virus. Alvers asked Amador why he risked the deal in Mexico. Amador replies that $240 million dollars made it worth the risk. Alvers asks about Nina, but Amador assures him that she was either killed by the bomb or by her angry employers when she didn't deliver the virus. Alvers says that's good, because she can point to both of them.
2:27 A.M.-2:33 A.M.: Chase finds Kim in a conference room and asks to talk to her about the baby. Kim is irritated that they've been dating for almost three months and he never mentioned the baby to her. Chase says that he was worried about her reaction. He tells her that his girlfriend suddenly dropped the baby in his lap and left town. Kim throws the fact that he confided in Chloe in his face. Chase says that Chloe is a friend and that she and her sister have been helping him take care of the child. He tells Kim that he loves her and is falling in love with his daughter too. Chase apologizes to Kim and she grudgingly accepts as he goes to hold his baby.
Chappelle and Jack are conferring about Nina's interrogation. Chappelle thinks they might be making progress, but Jack knows that Nina is manipulating them. Jack wants to go help out, but Chappelle insists that he talk to an investigator from the Inspector General's Office about his drug habit. Chappelle takes Jack into a conference room where Rae Plachecki begins questioning him about his heroin use. A video camera records their conversation as Jack explains that he used drugs as a cover for the Salazars.
Tony continues to question Nina about Amador and Alvers, but she is less than cooperative. Tony reminds her that she killed Jack's wife and helped smuggle a nuclear bomb into the country. He asks her what she gets out of being a mass murderer. Her only reply is pointing out to him that his neck wound is bleeding. Tony exits and goes into the observation room. Dalton tells him that they are only getting subliminal responses from Nina and that they should bring in more sophisticated equipment. Tony says no, since the security in those rooms isn't strong enough to contain Nina. He tells Dalton to bring in Richards to help with the interrogation. Tony brings Richards into the interrogation room and introduces him to Nina. "Hello, Darren," Nina says chattily, as Richards produces a wicked-looking needle.
2:38 A.M.-2:41 A.M.: Plachecki continues to question Jack, noting that he shot up six weeks before his first meeting with the Salazars. Jack counters that the Salazars would've been suspicious if he looked like an amateur user. Plachecki says it looks suspicious since he didn't even tell his partner about it. Jack gets angry and says that he's had a tough time since his wife died and if anyone knew he was using drugs, they would surely misinterpret. Chappelle turns off the tape and tells Jack that they'll put down that he didn't start using heroin until late January. Plachecki agrees, but Jack declines his offer and wants the record to stand.
Alvers is speaking to someone in a foreign language on the phone. He tells them that he has the virus and that everything is going according to plan. He hangs up and tells Amador that the individual should arrive within the hour. Amador says he hopes they'll have time to leave the country before they release the virus.
2:42 A.M.-2:48 A.M.: Palmer meets with his staff. Hammond tells him that they have no way of knowing what Amador will do with the virus once he has it. Palmer tells them to prepare a defensive strategy and a containment plan should the virus get out. He says they'll report to him in 30 minutes and ends the meeting. Wayne enters and tells Palmer that Milliken was found dead in his home, and that all signs point to a heart attack. Wayne asks about Sherry and Palmer defends her, repeating her story from earlier. Wayne doesn't buy it, so Palmer goes and wakes Sherry from a catnap to confront her about Milliken's death. Sherry denies any involvement at first, but then she cracks and explains what happened at the Milliken home. Palmer says that the police will check her car and cell phone, but Sherry threatens him, saying that they'll check his phone logs as well and they'll see that he called her earlier in the evening. She hints that any investigation would only look bad for him.
Adam hooks up a video feed of Nina's interrogation for Kim. Kim watches as Richards sticks a needle into Nina's neck, but Nina's expression remains calm.
Chase bursts in on Chappelle, who is still debriefing Jack. He tells them that Nina's interrogation isn't going well and that Richards is working on her. Jack thinks that's a mistake, since no one should be alone with Nina who doesn't understand what she's capable of. Chappelle argues that Nina can't manipulate Richards, since is only job is to inflict pain.
Nina's torture continues. Tony asks her how much more she can take. "I think this is about it," she grunts as she throws back her head into the needle, as her blood sprays everywhere. Tony applies pressure to Nina's neck to stop the bleeding as Michelle calls for medics.
2:52 A.M.-3:00 A.M.: Wayne enters Palmer's office and asks about Milliken. Palmer repeats Sherry's story for him, but Wayne assumes the worst about Sherry. Palmer feels that Sherry isn't capable of murder and that Julia may be more involved than Wayne wants to admit. Wayne leaves and calls Julia on his cell phone. Julia tells him what really happened, and how Sherry stopped her from giving Alan his pills, begging Wayne to come over. Wayne tells her that he'll help her, but he needs to keep his distance right now. He tells her to call her lawyer and to say nothing to the police until she gets council.
Nina is rushed into the clinic on a stretcher as blood seeps from her neck. A doctor administers an anesthetic, but Nina secretly squeezes the tube to keep it from flowing into her. She pretends to pass out and Tony leaves the clinic, passing a tray full of sharp instruments that are being wheeled in. He goes into see Chappelle and Jack and tells them that Nina tried to commit suicide by slicing her artery on the needle. Jack asks who is with her, just as an alarm goes off. They all bolt from the office and head for the clinic, where they find the medics dead on the floor. Jack finds a nurse who is still alive and asks where Nina went, and the nurse weakly points to a corridor. Jack takes off in search of Nina, as Chappelle orders a lockdown of the facility.
Sherry sits alone and puts on her wedding ring. Kim runs down a corridor and finds a dead security guard. She takes his gun, goes into a server room and finds Nina, who is pulling wires from a panel. Kim orders her to drop her gun and put her hands on her head. Nina turns around and calmly tells Kim not to get involved. Nina raises her gun and tells Kim to just walk away. Kim hesitates and the two women aim their guns at one another, when a shot rings out and hits Nina in the shoulder, throwing her to the ground. Jack walks in and tells Kim to go back to the floor and get help. Kim pauses again, but Jack urges her to just go. He walks over to Nina and aims his gun at her. "You don't have any more useful information, do you, Nina," Jack whispers. "I do," Nina gasps as she slowly reaches for her gun. "No you don't," Jack says, and shoots her three times in the chest.
