3:00 P.M.-3:08 P.M.: Awaiting the arrival of Nicole Duncan, Jack becomes nervous and anxious, and decides to take out a needle and drugs. He fills the needle, while securing a strap over his arm, but is cut short, when several vans arrive, with Nicole stepping out of one. He quickly disposes of the evidence, and Nicole gets in with him. They make small talk, before talking more about the deadly virus, and suddenly she notices a small empty bottle. Nicole remains quiet at first, but is suspicious of Jack and how he can work under such conditions.

Michelle informs Gael, the mole that is in league with the Salazars, about Kyle Singer, and how Jack has gone to investigate. Gael quickly heads to a secure room, and calls Hector, telling him about Jack getting close to Kyle.



3:08 P.M.-3:13 P.M.: Kyle's dad arrives home, with many questions for Kyle about where he got the money to pay the delinquent rent. Kyle lies, telling his dad him and his friend got lucky at the horse track. When he goes to his room, he hears his parents talking about him, and he hurries himself to get out of there. When he's about to leave, his dad questions him on what is in his tote bag. Kyle tries to escape, but his dad grabs it, opens, and finds the bag containing the drugs. Kyle attempts to get it back, and they begin fighting, then the bag gets a hole in it, and the powder is blowing out, with the help of a fan. Kyle bolts out the door and runs.



3:16 P.M.-3:24 P.M.: Chase arrives at CTU with Parker, and Kim asks where her father is. Chase is quick to tell her that Jack sidelined him, because of his relationship with her. She doesn't think that's why, but he reassures her.

David finishes reading the playbook, and it gives information on Anne committing a crime with her ex-husband, eight years ago. He doesn't believe it for a second, but Wayne thinks otherwise, despite not liking Anne, anyway.

Louis Santicon is asked back to the prison and talk to Salazar. When he arrives, Salazar brags that he'll be leaving soon. Then, Salazar tells Santicon that he has wasted the past two years of his life. Before Santicon can have an opportunity to respond, Salazar's guard kills Santicon. He's informed that his son will be returned to him, immediately.

Kyle's parents are visibly shaken up over what has transpired, then bad becomes worse when Jack and his team break their way into the Singer's home, and Kyle's mom runs to the bathroom to flush the drugs down the toilet. Jack hurriedly catches her, but it's too late. In a panic, he announced over his comm that the virus is out.



3:28-3:36: David has a talk with Anne, and questions her about the crime that her husband has accused her of aiding him with. She denies any accusations, wondering exactly why he would want to bring her into this eight years later, assuming it's to sabotage David's campaign for re-election. He believes her, but Wayne is still uncertain.

While quarantined, Kyle's parents are told that the "drugs" was actually a deadly virus, that they may have contracted. Jack gets a call from Michelle, saying that Santicon has been killed. He begins losing his breath, and runs back to get showered down, rips off his head cover, and takes a few deep breaths. Nicole walks in, without showering down, and informs Jack that the powder was not the virus, nor have Kyle's parents contracted any form of the virus. The area is obviously safe, but Jack scrambles to figure out where the actual virus is. He and Nicole come to the conclusion that Kyle was infected with the virus, and that they have three hours to find him, before he becomes contagious to others.



3:41 P.M.-3:48 P.M.: Gael orders one of Salazar's men to get Kyle, before he's found by someone else, and it's too late. Meanwhile, Jack tells Kyle's parents everything about the virus, and how Kyle may be infected with it, which unfortunately may end up with Kyle dying. Kyle's parents are devastated by the news, and his mom gives Jack a cell phone number to reach Kyle. Jack decides that Kyle's dad needs to call Kyle, so CTU can set up a trace on Kyle, to find him.

Kyle's dad makes the call, sadly telling Kyle that he may have only a short time to live, and that he needs to come home, before it's too late. Within seconds, they trace Kyle, and find that he's at a mall. Tony orders a helicopter to take him to the mall to find Kyle, since Jack will take double the time to get there. Chase tries to get in Tony's face over Jack ditching him, but Tony calmly tells Chase to take it up with Jack.



3:53 P.M.-4:00 P.M.: As Chase fumes over Jack ditching him, he nearly lets it slip to Kim about Jack's drug problem. Meanwhile, Tony's helicopter lands on top of the mall, and he is ready to nab Kyle, before any more trouble comes about. Nicole Duncan questions Jack on how long he has been doing drugs. At first, Jack denies the accusations, but when she shows him the vial he threw onto the floor of the car, he confesses that it was only so he could maintain his cover with the Salazars.

Jack and Nicole arrive at the mall, while Gael orders one of Salazar's men to kidnap Kyle, before CTU does. Then, Gael tells the man to not go in, but the man refuses, saying it is his only chance. He goes after Kyle, but walks by as Tony approachs Kyle first. Tony informs Kyle that what his father told him is true, and that he needs to go with Tony. Suddenly, Salizar's man returns, shoots his gun at Tony, and the bullet goes right into Tony's neck.
