  • Weak Episode after the Last Shocking Episode!!!!

Logic/Details - » After Ryan Dead, was time to move forward and the objective here is very simple, get Saunders Daughter. It is difficult for me to Believe that Sauders would leave is weak point so exposed. He would make his daughter get a plane and go to Africa, which would protect her better. Kim play a important role in this episode.

Progress -» Sanders Daughter is Caught in this episode.

    Emotions/Stimulation/Highlights -» Ending - » Nothing Special.

Overall - » I think that this episode was poor, like the writers was really uninspired when they made this episode. I think I am Gentle to give it a 6.
  • Thank god, Kim did not get kidnapped again

Oh.. it did look like it was going to be cliche as Kim is out of CTU and she has been so safe almost all the season and I was already starting to think - not again. But she seems to be grown up and managing her own troubles well.

This episode was much less intense but we need that kind of little less tension episode in order to appriciate the other ones. Chade storyline was fascinating and it really looks like they will have really big troubles with containing this. And another hour before we learn about Michelle test results.. noo..
  • Deus ex machina at its prettiest

As both the characters and the viewers reel in from Chappelle's death, the story just doesn't let up as CTU finds an important lead. When I found out that Jack was going after Saunders' daughter in the episode previews, I thought to myself, "Yeah! That's the Jack we know and love!" So what if it's in the same ballpark as what he did with Syed Ali?

The hour is dedicated to CTU's preparation to covertly abduct Jane Saunders from the UC Santa Barbara campus. I can only imagine how many undergraduate "24" freaks at UCSB jumped around like rabid monkeys when they saw this episode. Don't know if Cassar and crew actually shot it there, however.

Personal conflict is brought into the mix when Jack learns of Kim's volunteering for decoy duty. A little crying here, a little crying there, all from Kim. Kinda corny.

Meanwhile, Saunders is done with petty stuff and makes his big demand from Palmer: a list of covert US spies working across the globe. Eep. His deadline nicely utilizes the whole "racing against time" element.

Bill Cole continues to infect LA by walking around. Still blatant filler.

    Hourly Highlight:

Jack scaring the crap out of Jane. He didn't shoot her in the arm first, but hey, a female interrogation is all good.
  • Guess who's in danger now, uh oh.

This episode is certainly not as good as the previous one, but that was going to be difficult to live up to anyway! Still a pretty good episode though, and the sting operation with Kim disguising herself as Saunder's daughter was better than I expected it to be. I actually enjoyed it unlike her stupid storylines in season 2. Now they've got Jane Saunders they will probably use her as leverage, not just for information on Saunder's whereabouts.

Oh, and why were there students in a library at half past 7 in the morning?? How unrealistic! I also can't believe that the reason why Jack got kim the job at CTU was because he wanted her to be safe! Teri wasn't safe there =| But Jack's intensity was done really well in this episode so I give that a thumbs up.

It was good to see Prescott back, even though he was a prat. I loved the moment when Palmer had to tell him that he was forced to order the death of Chappelle, but the look on Prescott's face was like, "Hmm... sounds like a good time to try and get him out again."

Quote of the hour! Jack Bauer: "You have no idea how far I'm willing to go to acquire your cooperation."

When I leanred that it was going to be Kim Bauer who had to go into the field, I was dissapointed with the writing because I had a sinking feeling that she was going to be kidnapped. One of the things I hated in Seasons 1 and 2 were Kim Bauers random kidnapped stories that really dragged the plotline. I thought the writers did a very good job here, giving her only about 20 minutes of field time before she is going to return back to CTU unharmed. The fact that she still was captured it kind of funny, but at least the writers didnt begin to repeat themseleves so early on in this shows life cycle. Saunders latest demand is something so big that I think that President Palmer is going to have to trust CTU to find him before he is able to realease the virus. With Jane Saunders now in there control, I think CTU will use her as the leverage they need to get Saunders to give it all up. The conversations with Jack and Kim and Jack and Tony were really well done in this episode, with the intensity of Jack when he learned that Kim was going to be going into the field. Overall, I thought it was really well done...
  • Great episode.

Jack Bauer forbids Kim for doing an undercover assignment but the current circumstance forces him to accept the situation. Chase tracks down a hotel guest who left before the quarantine, it turns out that he might have been infecting people in the public. There's another crisis happening in this episode, it's so well written, the action is well directed, the actors were great. Things happen here, we're shown stuff that keep the suspense going. The slow scenes inside the unversity is so riveting, that was a well directed sequence. The writers surely did a good job, I enjoyed watching this episode.

    Another great episode.

Chappelle is now dead & Saunders' men picked his body up.

CTU discover Saunders has a daughter, and they arrange to pick her up for questioning & put Kim in her place so that Saunders won't know she's gone. At first Jack objects to Kim being the decoy but has no choice but to play along.

It looks like the Virus is going to be spreading into the genral public.

Michelle still hasn't shown any of the symptoms & she's still awaiting her results. It's a shame that she was in only one scene.

  • Nice job leaving your daughter in range of the virus Saunders. *rolls eyes*

This was a pretty simple straightforward episode. Although it didn't really make much sense logically, it still had its fun parts. And, for whatever reason, it's my mother's favorite episode of 24 ever.

    Pros

-Very surreal with the terrorists picking up Chappelle's body.

-"I like your energy, Kim. Use it."

-Some of the Bill Cole scenes made me chuckle.

-This episode had Kim at her hottest in Season 3.

-Good to see VP Prescott back this season if only for one episode.

-The scene where Palmer had to tell his staff that he killed Chappelle was a top Palmer Season 3 scene.

-Kim looked *just* like Jane Saunders.

-Great split screen at the end. I was glad to see Jack hauling ass for once. It's always great when people on this show actually run as fast as possible when going somewhere.

    Cons

-Horrible exposition by Palmer in the beginning.

-My God, the whole premise for this episode was so ridiculously contrived.

-I really didn't like Jack's bitchy attitude. Strangely out of character. Didn't like his insane hostility towards Jane.

"Better yet...my duty." Give. Me. A. Break. That whole scene had so much potential and I ended up hating it.

    -Lame motivation for Saunders.
