Chloe: It is only fair that I should tell you, I told Tony I didn't think you should do this. I mean, field work isn't 'learn as you go.' Kim: I'm not doing this to be a field agent, Chloe. There's no one else. Chloe: Yeah, that'ts why I didn't fight Tony harder. Not that he would listen to me anyway, I'm not so out of it that I don't know that he doesn't respect my opinions on tactical matters. Kim: (annoyed) Okay, look. I have to go. Chloe: Okay, I just wanted to let you know how I felt and I want you to know that I'm behind you 110 percent. I really hope nothing bad happens to you. Kim: Listen, Chloe, are you coordinating this operation from inside? Chloe: Of course! Kim: Okay, well, maybe you should start prepping, because I bet there's about two dozen agents still waiting for comm codes. Chloe: (smiles) I like your energy, Kim. Use it!

Jane: You're the one in trouble here. You're the one breaking the law. Jack: You think I'm playing a game here with you? Hundreds of thousands of peoples' lives are on the line. You have no idea how far I'm willing to go to acquire your cooperation.

Jane: I want to talk to a lawyer. Jack: There's no lawyer. There's just you and me.

Jack: You better listen to me very carefully, Jane. Right now, your father is engaged in terrorist activities against the United States of America. This morning, he killed hundreds of people and has threatened to kill thousands more. Now, I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you to believe, but trust me, you're going to cooperate with us. There's a lot at stake and not a lot of time.

Palmer: I ordered the death of one of our agents, one of our finest. As unthinkable as that was, I had to buy some time in order to protect civilian lives. I will not cave in to any more of this terrorist's demands.

Jack: Right now Saunders is calling all the shots. If we don't do something soon, we will be completely paralyzed.

Jack: I know you think you are doing the right thing, but this is not going to happen! Kim: Somebody has to do it! Jack: Someone will. Not you! Kim: I am the best match. Jack: You're not a field operative! Kim: I have weapons training. This is decoy work. Saunders' people won't even come close to me. Jack: Kim, you don't know what you're talking about. If everything was to go right in this scenario, which is not a chance I am willing to take! Kim: You're not taking it! I am! Jack: (grabs Kim and pushes her against the wall) The reason why you got this job, the reason why I gave you this job, is so I can make sure that you'd be safe! Kim: The reason I took this job is because I wanted it. Not because you wanted me here. (pauses) I know this is hard for you, but this is not your decision. This is my job, better yet, my duty! I'm going to be safe, but I'm doing it.

Tony: She doesn't work for you, Jack. She works for me! Jack: (points at Tony) Don't.
