8:02 A.M.-8:06 A.M.: Adam shows the staff the quarantine areas and warns that the virus will spread more quickly if they don't get it contained. Tony says that he knows everyone is tired, but this is the worst possible scenario they are dealing with since they are facing a major outbreak.

Kim is sitting on the curb outside the library as Jack makes sure she's all right, telling her that the man she shot is dead. Forrester radios Jack and tells him that Jane Saunders is calmer now, so he goes off to interrogate her.

Wayne updates Palmer on events in Santa Barbara, but warns that Saunders will figure out that Jack has his daughter. Palmer still doesn't want to comply with Saunders' latest demand, but Wayne says he may have no choice if they can't get anything from Jane.

Jack goes into the trailer and releases Jane from her cuffs. He tells her that he knows she has a hard time believing that her father is a terrorist, but he says he can prove it to her.

Saunders' henchman tells him that Palmer still hasn't posted the list of names on the site, but Saunders is willing to give him the rest of his allotted time.

8:07 A.M.-8:10 A.M.: Jack shows Jane a video of himself and Saunders in Kosovo. Jane starts to get a clue and says that Saunders contacted her several years ago, letting her know that he was still alive and living somewhere in Europe under an assumed name. Jack then shows her photos of her father meeting with illegal weapons dealers, then plays her a recording of Saunders' last phone call to Palmer. Jack caps off his presentation by showing her live action from the Chandler Plaza Hotel, where people are dead and dying from the virus. Jane breaks down and admits she has an emergency phone number for her father.

Michelle watches a woman being dragged to the containment area. She goes into a room alone, but Dr. Macer comes in and tells her that her results are on the way.

8:14 A.M.-8:18 A.M.: Agent Pierce comes into tell Palmer that they want to get him out of the state now that they are facing a bio-threat. Palmer defers to Wayne, but Wayne agrees that Palmer should be removed from danger. Palmer takes Pierce aside and tells him that he wants to stand with the people of LA during this crisis. Pierce is hesitant, but Palmer persists and Pierce finally backs down. Palmer's secretary announces that the conference call is about to begin.

Tony and Jack connect with Palmer and Palmer informs them that he is refusing to cave into any more of Saunders' demands. Jack says that leaves them with the one option of using Jane as a hostage, to which Palmer understands. Tony says that Jack will have to keep Saunders on the line for at least a minute so they can start a trace. Jack hangs up and starts pushing Jane to make the call.

8:19 A.M.-8:22 A.M.: Saunders' henchman tells him that the list of names hasn't been posted. Saunders picks up a phone and orders someone to release San Francisco. Just then, his daughter's line rings and he tells the unknown person to wait and that he'll call right back. Saunders orders his henchman to trace the call and answers. Jane tells him that she's scared of everything that's going on in LA. The henchman tells him that the call is being traced. "They've got her," Saunders says. Forrester tells Jack that their call is being monitored. Saunders tells Jane to hand the phone to Jack. She does and Saunders tells Jack that he still has 11 more vials of the virus and that Jack knows what he's capable of. Jack stares at Jane and replies "You know what I'm capable of." Saunders hangs up. Adam manages to trace the call and Tony tells Jack that they can locate Saunders. Jack tells Tony to send the coordinates to him and to take Jane back to CTU under heavy guard.

8:26 A.M.-8:29 A.M.: Dr. Macer hands Michelle a sealed envelope and leaves. Michelle opens the envelope and reads the contents, and choking back tears, she calls Tony and tells him that she's not infected! Tony wants her out of there right away, but Michelle says it doesn't matter since she is immune to the virus. They want her to go to NHS for a time so they can fully clear her. Tony says he can't believe he almost lost her and both of them start to break down.

8:30 A.M.-8:34 A.M.: Palmer addresses the press and tells them that there may have been a biological attack on U.S. soil. The reporters clamor for more information, but Palmer tells them to make sure to let the public know that they should stay home and stay calm.

Jack is flying to Saunders' hideout and talks to Chase, who is driving there. Jack knows that they will have to surround the building quietly so Saunders won't know they're coming. Jack stresses that this is their only chance to grab Saunders, so there can be no mistakes.

Saunders' henchman knows that CTU is coming and wants to make a break for it. Saunders says they'll still have a chance to slip away, but his henchamn isn't buying it and starts to leave. Saunders shoots him and then makes a call. "Has she left yet?" Saunders asks the unknown person at the other end. "Stay on her. We're going to need to do this soon," he says.

Kim and Jane are dressed normally again and get into a car to leave. Kim sees a suspicious man lurking nearby and watches him as they leave.

8:39 A.M.-8:43 A.M.: Jane is still trying to process the information that her father is a terrorist. Kim doesn't say much, but her expression shows that she relates to Jane on some level.

Jack talks to Adam, who is covering Saunders' hideout by satellite. Adam confirms that no one has entered or left the building. Chloe interrupts Tony in the middle of a meeting to tell him that she's just learned that Adam's sister has been infected. Tony wants to tell her, but Chloe physically blocks his way and tells him that he shouldn't divert Adam's attention from their operation. "Chloe, I'm getting real tired of your personality," Tony barks, and brushes past her and goes to Adam. Adam doesn't want to be bothered because he's busy, but Tony tells him about his sister. Adam thinks it might be someone else, but Tony says they've confirmed that it's her. Adam is shocked and Tony asks him if he can make it through the crisis. Adam nods absently.

8:44 A.M.-8:48 A.M.: Saunders is speaking to someone on the phone, saying that CTU has him surrounded. He says he's going to wait for Jack to show up and deal with it then. Jack does show up and Chase tells him that all of their teams are in place. Jack's instincts tell him that Saunders knows they are there, but he doesn't understand why Saunders hasn't tried to get away. They surround the building and Jack grabs a bullhorn. He tells Saunders that they have him surrounded and that Palmer is refusing to give into any more of his demands. They have his daughter and there's no escape for him. "That's not exactly true, Jack," Saunders says calmly as he sits at his desk.

The car carrying Kim and Jane pulls up to a railroad crossing and has to stop with another CTU vehicle behind them. A man on a motorcycle, dressed in black leather and wearing a helmet and face shield pulls up right beside Kim's car and stops. Kim watches him anxiously, as he revs the engine.

8:52 A.M.-9:00 A.M.: Michelle climbs into a van and leaves for NHS. Chloe blasts Adam because he screwed up on the satellite feed. Chloe grabs Tony and tells him that Adam shouldn't be working because of his sister. Adam admits that he made a mistake, but says he can work. Tony walks away and Chloe promises Adam that she'll be checking his logs every 10 minutes.

Saunders calls Jack on his cell and congratulates him on trapping him. Jack tells Saunders to come out, but Saunders tells Jack to come in and get him. Jack urges Saunders to think about his daughter and Saunders says he'll take a few minutes to think it over. Another phone rings and Saunders answers. "Is it done," he asks and a phone voice replies "Yes." Saunders dials another number.

Tony's cell phone rings. Tony answers and is greeted by a smooth, British accent. Saunders tells him to go somewhere private and look up a certain IP address. Tony does so and Saunders congratulates Tony on his wife eluding infection at the hotel. Tony finally gets it as he types in the IP address and sees a live picture of Michelle, who is tied up and being choked by a henchman. Saunders says he instructed his men to leave her barely alive, but they'll kill her if Tony doesn't follow instructions. Tony threatens to rip out Saunders' throat if he hurts Michelle, but Saunders politely ignores the remark and tells Tony to order his men and the sniper on the roof away from the Northeast exit of his hideout. Tony says he doesn't have the authority. Saunders orders his henchman to take Michelle's eye out. The henchman pulls a knife, as Michelle gasps. Tony breaks down and agrees to do it, and Saunders gives him 30 seconds to pull his men off.

Baker gets a call from Tony, telling him to give his unit a Code Nine and to take his team and all police to the front of the building. Baker argues at first, but then agrees. The men all head to the front of the building and Saunders walks out of the back door. He checks his GPS tracker for agents and then walks casually down the street. Tony collapses against a wall.
