8:00 P.M.- 8:06 P.M.: The president is contacted by CTU and briefed, through a video recorded by Jack before he went undercover. Jack informs the president that the Salazar's never had the virus in question, but that he believed someone was trying to sell it on the open market. Palmer tells Tony that they will take responsibility for their actions after the plan has ended, but grants CTU permission to proceed with their operation. Wayne tells his brother that he believes they were justified in keeping the president out of the loop.



8:06 P.M.-8:10 P.M.: Tony and Ryan exchange words over who should be in charge, but Chappelle backs off for the time being.

Hector is filling in Ramon why Jack is still alive. He tells him that he plans to buy the Cordilla virus for $100 million from the Ukranian scientists who created it. He will then in turn sell it to the North Koreans for $1 Billion. Jack tells Ramon that he is done putting his ass on the line for nothing. He tells him that he's in it for $15 Million, and that's it. Ramon grabs the gun and tries to kill Jack. Hector stops him.



8:15 P.M.-8:20 P.M.: Tony briefs CTU on the plan. They pull up satellite surveillance of Salazar's ranch. Tony assigns Chloe and Chase to work together on the tactical end, but Chase has not yet returned. Kim tells Tony that she spoke to Chase and that he is not coming back, but heading down to try and rescue Jack.

Jack is laying on a couch sweating, still suffering through withdrawal. Claudia brings Jack some food, and then slaps him, telling him she doesn't trust him and asked why he didn't help to take her away from all of this life, as he promised. She offers Jack a ‘fix' he turns it down. Jack looks very distraught as she leaves the room.

Tony sends a picture out of Chase, telling the person on the other end of the phone that he's armed and dangerous. Tony hangs up the phone, and then collapses. He gets back up, looks around, then leaves his office and heads back downstairs.



8:20 P.M.-8:22 P.M.: Tony informs Michelle and Kim that he just spoke with Mexican intelligence, and that he can have a man at the Salazar ranch in twenty minutes. The trio attempt to figure out where Chase's plane will land, knowing he will avoid the airfield. Palmer, meanwhile, is trying to reach Anne, but is unsuccessful. He asks Wayne to locate her.



8:22 P.M.-8:25 P.M: Anne arrives at her ex-husband's office where he asked her to meet him. Ted apologizes for what he said, and Anne asks for the letters that will prove her innocence. She sees a gun under his jacket that is on the coffee table, worried that he will try to kill himself, and urges him to see a doctor. He tells her no. Anne rushes forward to grab the gun, Ted gets there first after a brief struggle he holds the gun to his head and tells her to leave. She tells him that he was wrong to try and blackmail the president, but that he can start over. He says that she's good, and if she were to spend any more time talking with him that she might be able to talk him out of killing himself. She tries again for the gun, before he pushes her away and shoots himself in the head.



8:29 P.M.-8:32 P.M.: Tony tells Wayne that the President can get updates every 15 minutes from him. Michelle tells Tony that he should be in the hospital. He dismisses her. She gives him the info on where Chase might land. Tony tells Michelle that he is sorry that he couldn't tell her about the operation. Michelle is worried that Tony was able to hide something from her for over a month without her knowing.



8:32 P.M.-8:35 P.M.: Wayne updates his brother on CTU's progress. Anne calls David and tells him that Ted killed himself just moments ago. The police are there investigating. She tells David she has letters that exonerate her. The president tells Wayne to have her picked up.



8:35 P.M.-8:37 P.M.: Hector and Ramon continue to argue about Jack. Hector tells Ramon that he will be killing Bauer after they make the transaction. Ramon asks for Jack to be brought in. He tells him that he doesn't trust him, but that they will go along with his plan.



8:42 P.M.-8:43 P.M.: Raphael, the Mexican agent calls Tony to let him know he's arrived at the location that would more than likely be Chase's landing location. Soon thereafter, the plane arrives. Tony warns Raphael that he's a very capable agent. Upon entering the plane he discovers the plane is empty. He continues to search for Chase, but Chase finds him. He identifies himself as Mexican intel and tells him that Tony wants to talk to him. He calls Tony, but before he can find out whats going on, they both get shot at. Raphael is killed and Chase is run off the road. Salazar's men grab him.



8:51 P.M.-9:00 P.M.: Anne arrives at David's office and delivers the documents. Wayne expresses his condolences about Ted. Anne tells David that she believes they need to break up.

Jack calls the Ukranians and tries to setup a meet. The man tells Jack he will call him back in a few minutes. Chase is brought in by Salazar's henchmen. Hector wants to believe Jack that he had nothing to do with it, but Ramon doesn't believe him. He tells Jack to kill Chase, and hands him a gun. Jack holds the gun up to Chase's head, saying he should never have followed him, and pulls the trigger. Click The gun is not loaded. Salazar's men load Chase and Jack into a car, and the group prepare to leave, but Chase puts up a fight, which causes Jack's watch to get smashed. He looks at it, and gives his wrist a few shakes.

Gael races upstairs to tell Tony that the transponder in Jack's watch is dead.
