9:00 P.M.-9:07 P.M.: Palmer addresses the nation to tell them why he had to cancel the debate. He promises more details will be released throughout the next few hours. A reporter suggests the entire emergency was a hoax, in order to get out of the debate regarding Anne. Palmer assures her that Anne is innocent, and that they have evidence to back it up.

CTU is working fast and furious to try and restore contact to Jack's transponder. Tony asks Kim to assist. When Kim asks for clarification on his request, Tony gets annoyed, telling her that he already told her the information she is asking for, but he did not.

The Salazars take Chase out of their convoy and drag him to the barn to be interrogated. The Ukranian calls and tells Jack and the Salazar's where meet, north of their location in fifteen minutes. Ramon gives Jack some pills in order to help his withdrawal symptoms. He then goes into the house to the bathroom.



9:07 P.M.-9:10 P.M.: Claudia puts Sergio to bed. Jack rushes in and tells Claudia what is going on. He asks her to help him, and promises to help get her out. He asks her to get him a cell phone, and then to find Chase, and keep him alive. The two kiss briefly, and Jack rushes out.



9:10 P.M.-9:12 P.M.: Salzars' men begin interrogating Chase by beating him with a shovel. Ramon seems amused at Chase's screams. Claudia approaches Hector and they begin to kiss. She covertly steals his phone, but before she can give it to Jack, Hector realizes he left his phone inside. Claudia goes in to get it.



9:17 P.M.-9:22 P.M.: Tony makes another error, giving Kim the wrong code they need. Tony gives her the correct one, while everyone begins to worry about him.

Palmer is briefed on the loss of Jack's signal. He gets a call and the man on the phone asks Palmer to come see him, without Wayne.

Chappelle barges in and demands an update. When they tell him they still have no word, Chappelle tells Tony that the three of them and Jack will take the fall for the operation's failure.



9:22 P.M.-9:25 P.M.: Jack and the Salazars arrive at the tent, when they are told that they have a complication: a new buyer has surfaced and they will now sell the virus through auction. The Salazars are pissed, but convinces to play along. The other buyer shows up...Nina Myers! She panics and orders her guards to shoot Jack. Amador has them calm down, but she is still extremely wary of Jack's presence there.



9:30 P.M.-9:34 P.M.: Palmer's motorcade arrives at the house of Alan Milliken, the man who called him earlier. He calls in his wife, Julia. She tells him that she and Wayne had an affair while Alan was recuperating from a stroke. He asks David to fire his brother, where he steadfastly refused. Alan warns Palmer there will be consequences.



9:34 P.M.-9:38 P.M.: Kim goes to Michelle and tells her about Tony's lapses. Michelle defends him. Kim warns her that if he can't do his job, she needs to relieve him.

Claudia orders Chase's interrogators to fix Hector's truck. She rushes in and tells Chase what is going on and tells him to hang in there. Ramon asks Jack who Nina is. He tells him of his history with her, and lets him know it won't be a problem.



9:43 P.M.-9:48 P.M.: Claudia tells Sergio to be ready to flee, she also tells her father what is going on. He tells her to leave without him.

Michelle talks to Tony about what mistakes he's made. The two have an argument, so Michelle goes to Chappelle and tells him about Tony. He is very apprehensive about removing Tony from command, but agrees.

Palmer returns to his office and confronts Wayne about his affair. Wayne tells him that he must resign if Alan wants to play it dirty, but Palmer won't fire him.

9:48 P.M.-9:50 P.M.: Tony is brought into a meeting with Chappelle regarding the slips he has made today. Chappelle quizzes him quickly on what was on the monitor when he first walked in. He gets it right perfectly. When they bring up the other two problems Tony tells them that he didn't tell Kim the things she needed to know, he sent them straight to her computer. It would now appear that Tony is not having slip-ups. Tony gives Michelle a cold glare, and Chappelle scolds Michelle that she wasted time they don't have.



9:55 P.M.-10:00 P.M.: The bidders enter the tent in the middle of the desert. They place their bids for the virus on the table and is reviewed. Nina bids $240 million, while the Salazars' bid was for $225 Million. Jack and the Salazars are escorted out.

As they drive away, they pull over and throw Jack out of the car. Furious they lost the deal, they want to kill Jack, since they have no further use for him. He pleads with them not to kill him, and that he can get to Nina, and get the virus for them. They decide to let him live a bit longer and give it a shot.
