  • Bauer messed up

    6.0
There was a better way for Bauer to get out of the bank. Had he stayed in the bank after tripping the alarm, Henderson's forces would have been taken out. Bauer could then give himself up, call James Heller, and have him pick up the evidence.
  • Jack tries to protect Evelyn and her daughter Amy while trying to acquire the evidence that prooves President Logan's involvment in the conspiracy. Meanwhile Logan issues a bogus warrant for Jack's arrest in an attempt to stop him.moreless

I enjoyed this episode all the way through from start to finish. The writing is top notch this season as it has been for the previous four seasons. Peter Weller is excellent as the evil Christopher Henderson, Mary Lynn Rajskub is just as excellent as Chloe O'Brian and of course, Kiefer Sutherland continues to shine as Jack. The suspense just never let up and I guarantee that after watching this episode you won't be able to wait for the next one.moreless
  • A good episode!!!

    7.0
What I liked -» The tension in this episode, the gun fight, that Audrey and Chloe were clever. Vice â€" President attitude.

    What I Didn´t Liked -» Miles.

Action - » (8/10). Another gun fight, more weaker than the last episode, but it was nice anyway.

Drama - » (8/10). The Man of the Bank, poor guy, why the writes decided to kill him? Also what happened to Evelyn?

Suspense/Tension - » (9/10). Audrey running, Chloe helping her and Jack in another difficult situation, the tension was very good in this episode.

    Surprises/Shocks - » Don´t expect anything.

Time and Scene Management - » (9/10). In this episode it is hard to notice any scene that was there to buy time.

Plot Details/Holes- » (9/10). President Logan action is more explained during in his conversation with Henderson.

    Beginning - » (9/10). The usual beginning of 24.

Complication Phase - » (8/10). Things are complicated in every side: Chloe, Audrey and Jack.

Climax - » (8/10). The gun fight was great.

Ending - » (7/10). The usual ending that leads to the next mini plot.moreless
  • Feeling heisty

    7.0
So this is how the writers are gonna fill out the rest of the season? …Tight!

With the whole President Evil angle, Jack doesn't waste time rallying as many allies as he can at CTU. Which is Audrey and Chloe. In other words, he doesn't make any new friends this hour, except for Carl Mossman, but that doesn't last long, and it was a "Nelson and Martin in Shelbyville" kind of friendship anyway.

Jack goes rogue like nobody's business as we follow his and Wayne's mission to break into a bank and retrieve a recording that can bring Logan to justice, while Henderson and Logan himself take measures to stop them. So the next few hours of the season will revolve around a piece of digital evidence that must be sent to the right people through the constant grab attempts of the bad guys. That's not a plot rehash at all!

But as I have said, no season-to-season comparison here. Keeping in mind the big twist we just had, this episode is hunky-dory. And after Jack saved that little girl at the Sunrise Hills Mall, Henderson's actions are quite an atonement (even if we don't get to see them). And the weirdo 007-esque music…it's weirdo 007-esque music! You don't hate that!

    Hourly Highlight:

I bet Miles WOULD like to know what Chloe was doing…moreless
  • Dangerous game with high stakes..

    9.3
So, it is on - they are after the president and it does not go easy when your opponent has all the possible ways to get to you - Chloe and Audrey have to get Homeland security off Audrey's tail.. and Chloe almost gets to the problem with it but walks away saftly.. Jack has to use some extreme measures to get to the bank and it costs one man's life but it all ends up that leaving a little girl alone with her mom who is wounded is not a good idea.

And the end.. oh.. it was promising. I have my hopes high for next one..moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • When Jack pulls his gun on Heller's man, he tells him to drop his gun and kick it over. The man then squats down and throws the gun over, instead of kicking it.

    • James Morrison (Buchanan) and Roger Cross (Curtis) do not appear in this episode.

    • How did Logan know about Evelyn recording a conversation between himself and Henderson? If he knew about it earlier, wouldn't he have tried to either get the recording, or to erase it?

    • When the warrant for Jack's arrest flashes on Chloe's computer screen, it lists his height as 5' 10". However, in Season One, the APB put out by the Secret Service pegs him at 5' 11".

  • QUOTES (14)

    • Jack: We're talking about taking down the President of the United States.

    • Logan: But the fact remains that I have received confirmation from intelligence sources that Jack Bauer was, without question, the shooter.
      Gardner: Which sources?
Logan: That's enough! I'm not going to stand here and have my orders challenged.

    • Mossman: I know you.
      Wayne: No you don't.

    • Pierce: Is there anything I can do for you, Jack?
Jack: Keep your eyes open and watch your back.

    • Henderson: It had to be done, sir.
Logan: I decide what needs to be done, Mr. Henderson. I never authorized you to kill David Palmer.
Henderson: Palmer was nosing around. He found out about your involvement. For god's sake sir, he called your wife.
Logan: I can handle my wife. Right now my concern is keeping this operation from collapsing like a house of cards.
Henderson: You're protected sir, every thread ends with Cummings. He thinks he's running this, and you need to keep playing it that way.
Logan: I know my part, Mr. Henderson. You just do as you're told.

    • Logan: I appreciate everything you've done today, Hal. But, the last time I checked, I was still Commander in Chief.

    • Wayne: Jack, why don't we just try telling him the truth?
Jack: Would you believe it? The only way we're going to have his full compliance is if he's scared. If you're uncomfortable with that, you should stay here.

    • Chloe: (Looks on the computer screen) Audrey, it's a warrent for Jack's arrest.
      Audrey: It's starting.

    • Audrey: I just spoke with Jack. Gardner isn't the one who's behind this. It's President Logan.

    • Shari: Chloe, do you have a minute?
      Chloe: No

    • Chloe: Crap.

    • Logan: This whole thing was meant to make our country safer, stronger. To protect our interests.

    • Jack: They didn't come here to arrest us. They came here to kill us.

    • Miles: What were you doing?
(Chloe getting out of the bathroom)
Chloe: Are you kidding? If you want the details I'll make you a report!

  • NOTES (1)

    • Christopher Henderson's first name is revealed as "William" as seen on Karen Hayes' computer screen at roughly 10 minutes into the episode.
