Jack learns that Evelyn made a recording of a phone call between Logan and Henderson and that she is hiding the tape in a safety deposit box. She gives Jack the location of the bank, as he and Wayne take her to a motel. They leave her in one of the rooms and proceed to the home of the bank manager. Jack calls Audrey and tells her of Logan's involvement. He then asks her to contact her father, the Secretary of Defense, so that a credible government official can break the news to the public.



Henderson talks to Logan, who berates him for allowing Jack and Wayne to escape along with Evelyn. Logan is angry because their plan is spinning out of control. He never planned on all of the killing that has happened thus far. Henderson promises to find Jack and Wayne and get back the incriminating recording before they can use it against Logan.



Hayes is taking over Buchanan's office, when Logan calls her and issues an arrest warrant for Jack Bauer. Hayes is confused, but Logan claims that he has evidence that Jack was complicit in David Palmer's murder. He orders her to keep news of the warrant confidential until Jack is captured.



Audrey goes to Chloe and asks for her help in evading CTU so she can meet Jack. They learn of the arrest warrant just as Hayes approaches them and asks that they turn Jack over for arrest. Both Audrey and Chloe claim they have no knowledge of Jack's whereabouts. Hayes then calls some of her people, who are planting a tracker in Audrey's car.



Jack and Wayne break into the bank manager's home and force him at gunpoint to accompany them to the bank.



Chloe aids Audrey in locating and disabling the tracker. Then Audrey calls her father and asks him to meet her in L.A. Heller, who is airborne, reroutes his flight to L.A. and orders his men to keep his stop off the manifest.



Gardner approaches Logan and asks why he was not told about the warrant for Jack's arrest. Logan brushes Gardner off, but Aaron overhears the argument and calls Jack to warn him about the warrant, while Logan is holding a press conference.



Evelyn passes out in the motel room while cleaning her bullet wound. This frightens her little girl, who calls 911 for help. Henderson is immediately notified about the call and gets there just as the paramedics do. He kills them and begins interrogating Evelyn about Jack's location.



Martha approaches Logan and becomes very affectionate. Their passionate kissing is interrupted by a call from Henderson, who tells Logan that Evelyn gave up Jack's location and that he is sending his men after the recording. Martha is curious about her husband's secretive phone call, but he ducks her questions.



Jack and Wayne enter the bank with the manager. They locate the deposit box and listen to the recording, which definitely confirms that Logan was involved with Henderson and Palmer's murder. They are about to leave when Jack sees Henderson's men closing in on them. Jack sounds the silent alarm, which sends the police to the bank.



Hayes tries to use satellite coverage to track Audrey, but she finds that the satellite feed isn't working. Miles goes down the hall to check it and sees Chloe coming out of the bathroom, which makes him even more suspicious.



The police arrive at the bank and find the mercenaries. As Henderson's men engage them in a firefight, Jack, Wayne and the bank manager flee from the building and escape in a police car. Jack and Wayne are unharmed, but the manager is killed in the crossfire.
