At the beginning of the episode Jack refers to the Attorney General as a "her", but the Attorney General is a man.
When Jack talks to the officer in charge of the submarine, he calls him "Lieutenant", although the rank he is wearing is that of a Lieutenant Commander, usually called "Commander".
Miles: I've been transferred. I was told to report immediately. The orders should be coming through any minute.
Karen: Transferred to where?
Jack: The White House.
Karen: How could you do this, Miles? This is not over. There will be an investigation.
Miles: Do what you have to do, Karen. But, I work for the President now.
Jack: You son of a bitch!
Miles: Let go of me, Bauer!
Jack: You know how many people lost their lives so I could bring that evidence in?!
Miles: I don't know what you're talking about!
Jack: We know it's you!
Henderson: Come on, Jack, you can't really believe that Charles Logan masterminded all of this by himself.
Jack: Give me the names.
Henderson: You can't touch them but they can touch you.
Jack: If he tries anything, I swear to you, I will kill him.
Karen: Then don't let it get to that point.
Jack: You're coming with me!
Henderson: I found Bierko's target for you.
Jack: The deal was Bierko's head on a plate!
Henderson: So what do you want me to do now, kill him for you?!
Henderson: Jack, don't be stupid. You know you can't get anything out of this guy and his computer makes this place look like an Internet cafe.
Jack: What makes you think that I'm not going to kill you the second this is over?
Henderson: Because you're going to give me your word and I know what your word is worth to you, so it's all I need.
Buchanan: Jack, what would David Palmer want you to do if he were here? The best way to honor his memory is to make the choice to save others.
Karen: (about Henderson) He will [talk] if we offer him a deal.
Jack: And that's not going to happen.
Jack: No! Not this time, not this man.
Pierce: There is nothing that you have said or done that is acceptable to me in the least. You're a traitor to this country and a disgrace to your office. And it's my duty to see that you're brought to justice for what you've done. Is there anything else, Charles?
Terrorist: We have one in reserve just as you ordered, but I still don't understand why. We can't do much damage with one canister of nerve gas.
Bierko: You're so wrong.
Jack: Bierko escaped about a half an hour ago. He's gonna carry out another attack.
Henderson: I'm sure he will. You bruised the man's ego when you stopped his first attempt.
Jack: Anything less then Bierko's head on a plate, then this deal's off.
Jack: No games Christopher. I don't need another reason to put a bullet in your brain.
This episode was originally scripted to have Aaron Pierce killed by one of Logan's agents but, Actor Glenn Morshower recommended that his character remain alive- not because he wanted to keep his job but because he felt it helped the story for his character to remain alive. They rewrote the script having Aaron be saved by Martha Logan and Mike Novick.
This episode was delayed by 20 minutes following a live presidential address.
