Now on to a brief reprieve from the Bauer Family (i.e. focus on the actual threat), and it's about the greatest reprieve you could hope for. Intense, outrageously violent, and just plain fun. The first act revolves around an exhilarating car chase—only instead of two cars, it's a car and a helicopter. Can it get better than THAT, dammit?!Action-wise? Not really. Torture-wise? We got the goods! It's no secret that "24" makes a big spectacle out of torture, but… I don't have a rebuttal; all I can say is, graphic televised violence is fun, and as Fayed inflicts various injuries on Morris, the evilness (if no other aspect) of his character sure is fleshed out.The goings-on in DC aren't too shabby either. Aside from the biggest pro (no Sandra), Assad arrives for a one-on-one with Wayne. And we see the full berth of Lennox's potential villainy as he agrees to cooperate with Reed Pollock's plan to remove Wayne from office. A coup? No, a [insert dull euphemism here]!After three hours of showcasing Jack's family, this episode was needed. The hunt for the suitcase nukes progresses a step, and despite a certain Marwanian escape, we're still treated to action and tension that bring the hour up so many notches. If your pulse doesn't pound at least a little during the climactic countdown sequence (so what if we know Jack won't die?), stay away from me.Hourly Highlight:Now that's what I call a fire drill! Huh? Huh?moreless

Please can someone explain how the heck Fayid escaped??!!It made absolutly NO SENSE with all the cops around!! And the fact that he set the bomb to go off in THREE minutes....Fayid would have still been to close..when the explosion happened! There were other unlogibal "mistakes"
Another one was when the car went under the underpass....and they got away..geess where were the "other" helipotors etc!
24 is my favorite show and I've been very disappointed in some of the writing. So please can someone explain how the heck fayid got out when cops were at ALL the doors. Thanksmoreless

  • Exciting some parts, others slow..

Again, this episode had some contra versa - there were some really good action and emotions - Morris and that woman, she making her decision and then taking off. Morris not working with them first and the measure the they used to make him work - so he does programm it and now they have it - and three bombs.

Also, Jack and one of the nuke was good part but there some slow moments.. I most say I did not enjoy almost no storylines going on in White House.. the resigning and then not.. the president and all his talk - I do not know.. it is not working...moreless

I believe that DB Woodside does a good job in his role as Wayne Palmer (Dennis Haysbert was excellent as Wayne's brother. Woodside is just good). However, I feel that his dialouge is too preachy and contrived. Palmer's meeting with Fayed is a good example of that. That is something I have not seen in previous seasons with any of the actors who have played the President on this show. The highlight of this episode is the search for Morris and Fayed as well as the exciting conclusion to this episode. It's a flawed episode, but an exciting one also.moreless

    • When a car has no window on one side, the noise from outside comes clearer and louder and also the air dislocation is also notable inside a car. When McCarthy smashed the window from the pickup, the audio inside the car was equal as there was no broken window and also the air dislocation doesn't seem to take place. Edit
