    Hehehehehe…ah, I'm going to Hell.

Gredenko's concocting another scheme for the two remaining nukes. I'm not sure what; something about a power plant. It won't be coming to fruition anyway, because CTU quickly finds a lead who hasn't been mentioned at all until now. Yep, another one of THOSE.

This leads Jack to an autist who goes undercover and helps capture Gredenko. Much to my frustration, this ridiculous character managed to squeeze a little sympathy out of me. Just a little; I was mostly laughing.

However, the real retardation here belongs to CTU. Nadia is proven innocent and Milo forces a kiss on her. An acquaintance of Doyle tries some double-cross without a clear motive and is never seen again. None of it is worth mentioning. Disregard this paragraph.

Daniels is eager for a nuclear strike against [Fayed's country], while Karen and Sandra try to stop him by waking Wayne up. The latter wins this hourlong race, but Daniels isn't keen on letting it go. Time for 25th Amendment stuff!

With that and Gredenko's offer to help Jack find Fayed and the nukes, the closing minutes finally pick things up and prepare us for something fun. Too bad they're only the closing minutes, ngaah ngaah!

    Hourly Highlight:

Let's just go with any shot of Nadia. The crappiness has worn me out.
  • Oh... another episode...

This was exciting, had the action and all the excitement you expect, some plots - like vice president making a move on removing president and that third man who found the evidence to play both Milo and that new fieldop.

What I did not liked - the whole last minute thing with Palmer. It is so similar to something we have already seen. This episode did not had much new.. But I did liked those brothers and that they used the other brother to get Gredenko.

I do not feel it was too bad episode but to be honest, it just did not stand out with nothing. Usual, avarage episode..

this 24 hours have more info than the other seassons of 24. The episodes are more elaborated and intrsting, they deliver more info in the same lenth and the plot is more complex than the other seassons. In this episode the president is awaken by his adviser with the concent o f his sister, anco he is awake he find all the info on the planed attack made by the vice president. We then come to terms and makes the call to cancel the attack but the vice president is not happy with the intervention and is planning a cue inside the goverment
  • With Gredenko in custody, Wayne manages to prevent something that could have terrible consequences!!!

    "Superb"
This was an explosive episode...First, the whole operation to capture Gredenko was very interesting and innovating on Jack's part...Jack coordinated at perfection the operation and managed to get one of the main terrorists...Karen seeing it's imminent that the attack will be launched, goes and convinces Wayne's sister to agree with some measures that are very risky...Fortunately it proves a good thing, and Waynes stops a mistake from taking place...But VP Danies is not over, and does something extremely risky for his career...He tries to suspend the president, by making it appear he is not responsible for his actions...Nice episode with a lot of drama....And off course action, and unpredictability.
  • it was ok - but Not the best episode this season

nothing really happened This season of 24 is getting better in this 2nd half of the season.

In this episode - Catching Gredenko !!!!. It wasn't too shocking.

24 can do alot better then this. They proved they can surprise us, excite us and make us beg for more. but not really in this episode.

but i bet the coming episodes will be beter.

Also in this episode - it showed jack saying "i promise" Sooooo many times !!!!

    Jack does say it alot.

bit i will watch this whole season 2 the end.
  • Another unoriginal episode which gave a feeling again of deja-vu.

    6.2
    "Fair"
There wasn't much at all which you could say was original about this hour. And what's happened with Logan? Again there's no mention of him in this episode. There's a serious lack of substance this season and not much characterisation. Okay you can't expect characters to be developed in great detail in "24", because of the speed the show races along in real time (although to be honest the show has felt slow at times this season and the time plot holes these days with the show are getting way far-fetched), but new and existing characters just aren't getting enough time to develop. They're just going from one dull or unoriginal scene to another.

Nine hours left of the season. I hope there's something original and exciting to come that can salvage season 6. At the moment this is my least favourite season of the show. Even the average first half of season 3 was better than these first 15 episodes of season 6.
  • Great episode.

    "Perfect"
A lot of stuff happened in this episode. Nadia is released from CTU holding cells to continue her work after Jack finds evidence which clears her name. This episode focused heavily on the White House and the chance of going to war with the Middle East. The Vice president is pressing for a gohead but luckily Karen Hayes persuades Sandra Palmer to order her brother to wake up even if it would cost him his life...

Wayne does come around but he appears to still be injured, anyway he stops the vice President from releasing the Nukes but for how long, now The Vice President is trying to once again get Wayne out of power. I liked this episode a lot, finally Jack has Gredenko but wil he get to the rest of the bombs in time. For one thing i am totally hooked 24 is so addictive this season is fabulas don't miss anything the clock is ticking... only 9 episodes left...
  • Rain Man, starring Jack Bauer.

    8.5
    "Great"
24 continues to recover from it's lackluster first half, and I couldn't be happier.

I'll talk about the Washington drama first. This storyline is progressing well, but it still feels a bit like rehash. Seriously - are we ever going to have a not-evil Vice President on 24? I mean, I know the show has been on for about as long as Dick Cheney has held office, but seriously (and I'm counting last year's VP Hal Gardner, simply because they played him creepy to throw the audience off of Logan's track - and as soon as Logan was revealed, he pretty much vanished with almost no redemption whatsoever).

I'm also wondering why nobody in the Cabinet seems to have any kind of objection at all to a nuclear strike against a mostly innocent country despite the fact that CTU has both prevented another nuclear detonation and caught one of the masterminds behind the plot? It seems ridiculously silly to me - shouldn't someone other than Karen and Tom be speaking up? This is Wayne's Cabinet, is it not? People that he chose to work for him for some reason or another? I should think that he would have hired more people with different viewpoints than just Karen and Tom. Instead of this diverse staff that Wayne was talking about earlier in the season, we've got Karen, Tom, and a bunch of yes-men willing to follow any order for no other reason than it being an order. What gives?

I kind of like the rivalry being set up with Wayne and Daniels here, but it seems like from this point on we're going to get Season 2 rehash (moreso than this storyline has already offered). Hopefully the writers have something up their sleeve to keep this season away from even more repeat than we've gotten this year. I'm still not overly interested in the politics of CTU this season. Milo and Nadia seem like Michelle and Tony 2.0 - and we all know what happened to them - Chloe and Morris are mostly just around for exposition these days, and I honestly don't care what happened with Doyle, Milo, and Johnson in Denver. Jack's story this hour was pretty much the time-tested "Jack is forced to deal with some honest (mostly) innocent folk caught up in wacky wild events" subplot - which usually has varying success with me. It worked alright in Season 4, not so much with Season 5, and it was abysmal early this season (yep, they're already reworking earlier plot threads from this season). I kind of liked how it worked here, but that was mostly because Jack didn't storm in and start torturing people the second he got into the house (see, Jack? There are other ways to deal with suspects, no matter what the writers tell you). I kind of liked the Brady aspect, save for the fact that it was blatant audience manipulation ("Oh no! I hope Jack saves that developmentally challenged boy!"). At least it was better than him dealing with his barely motivated terrorist of a father. Even though it doesn't sound like it from the review, I really did enjoy this episode save for a few things that got me. 24 has been on a serious upswing in the past couple of episodes; I hope they can keep up the momentum for the rest of the season. If they can do that, there might be some saving the story yet.
  • "24" this season tends to recycle some of the stories that were already done, but this episode was still good, even though they may have pushed it too much...

    8.5
    "Great"
I'll start with Milo and Nadia. They did this one already! Their kiss reminded me of Tony and Michelle's kiss in season 2. I believe Michelle kissed Tony alittle after they found out she helped Jack to get Kate out of CTU. In this case, the kiss happened just when Nadia was out of Doyle's investigation. As I said - they did this one already!

Next up - Catching Gredenko. It wasn't too shocking, as "24" this season isn't as shocking as it used to be, but hopefully we're experiencing another "season 3" syndrom. I guess they make 2 excellent seasons in a row and then a slow one to rebuild the tension for 2 more excellent episodes. Season 3 was the worst season in "24", and season 6 is second worst. Why? Because of stories like this one. The russian terrorist was caught with the help of a retarded kid. Not their best story line. One more thing - that also sucked at season 3 - Wayne Palmer's quick recovery. In S3, Tony was shot in the neck, spent 3 hours in surgery and got back to work by lunch time. In S6 - a bomb sent President Palmer to surgery and everyone were sure he's gonna die, but then 4 hours later, with a terrible swelling in his brain and a near-death experience, he wakes up in time to stop an attack on an arab country AND demand his job back. The only thing worse then this story is Jack's death in season 2, after which he got a shot and some CPR that brought him back to life. "24" can do alot better then this. They proved they can surprise us, excite us and make us beg for more. I hope that like in season 3 - the second half of the season will improve, and if not, they have to make it up to us with AMAZING (2) new seasons. Because I've never fell asleep during "24" episodes, but in the last few weeks - I found myself snoring before the first commercial break.
  • 24 is just a number

    2.2
    "Terrible"
The moment David Palmer was shot dead, is when 24 died too. This show is probably the worst show on television now. I also watch Prison Break and that show is very interesting. Prison Break has all the colorful characters, the mind games, and the intense twists that I happen to find far more interesting than 24. Since the nuclear bomb went off, every episode after that was very dull and boring. The whole deal with Jack's father is a complete insult to Jack Bauer's character. Please end the show already and replace it with "Fastlane". I can't believe they cancelled that show but they won't cancel 24???? Something fishy is goin on.
  • After a slow start, show back on top!

    "Superb"
After a pretty slow start of the season, the show

Is picking off where it left off as Jack goes To confront two brothers of a terrorist attack while Wayne

Is stil in a coma. As waking him up could prove

Crucial information. Milo maybe innocent as she has help in trying to clear her name. Great episode again.
  • Two thumbs up!

Way to go for Pres. Wayne Palmer's return! Stubborn vice president. We will then see how Lennox would behave in the next episodes. As for Jack, nice Job protecting Brady, and Gredenko is finally under custody. Best kiss for Nadia and Milo, did Chloe just feel even a bit of jealousy? Hmmm... I'm glad Nadia's cleared and that she's back at work. Even more glad that there is so far no CTU mole for this season. I also commend Milo apologizing to the Doyle and Doyle not with-holding evidence. Great episode this week! 9 more hours to go and Day 6 would be officially over!
  • Good episode with some obvious turns

    7.4
    "Good"
Hurray so they finally catch someone worth while and jacks going to kick their ass with some hard interrogation....oh wait the bad guy is going to make a deal (like nobody saw that one coming) considering one bad guy every season makes a deal such as a president pardon blah blah. Hurray number 2 as the president is back from his coma and he looks like he just woke up from a nice sleep considering he just narrowly avoided death by bomb (didnt the doctor say that there was a huge chance he could have brain damage or something could go wrong? yet he seemed pretty ok)

Other than them slightly annoying things this episode was well paced and quite entertaining.
  • awesome, just awesome

    10
    "Perfect"
Karen requests Sandra to allow the doctors to put Wayne out of coma in hopes that they can avert Daniels' plan to attack a middle eastern country. Jack and Doyle find a lead with the files found at the hideout of the drone pilot. CTU finds a connection to Grendenko and it leads them to two brothers who are somehow tied up to the terrorist attack. Nadia is released from her detention after CTU finds out that she's been set up. This episode is action packed, it leaves us with something to ponder about, but it's not a boring episode it's action packed.
  • Transitional episode (as opposed to filler), predictable but well-executed

    8.6
    "Great"
Despite the fact that the last scene elicited a groan (Season 2 deja vu...) and the fact that the Arab/Russian-English accent is getting annoying (why doesn't Fayed speak Arabic with his own people, same goes for Gredenko speaking Russian? Would be a little more realistic anyway, and subtitles are cool).....this episode had some nice touches, the best being Jack "interrogating" the autistic boy. I'm not keen at all on one-ep filler characters, especially when they play such a key role (with no follow-up), but this was Jack's rare moment where he actually realizes he's still human after everything that's transpired since the Chinese prison.

The rest was fairly predictable...Nadia's not the mole, Milo and she get it on in CTU, Wayne Palmer resurrected (and I thought Tony coming out of head surgery in a few hours was a speedy recovery!), the VP's coming power grab (the country is definitely going through times to elect two corrupt administrations in a row).....the only thing missing of any interest is Logan's demise and Audrey's situation. Hmmm, I'll come back to that.

What held this mostly retread hour together (critical plot developments notwithstanding) was the pacing and the balanced juggling of four stories. Being "real time," not every hour will be breathtaking and not every plotline will have immediately resolution, so I'll stick it out and hope that the Logan/Audrey lapse is resolved before TOO long (or at least after the nukes have been deactivated).
  • Overall, this episode was another mediocre installment, focusing on transitional elements while churning along familiar plot threads.

    7.0
    "Good"
As the episode begins, Vice President Daniels is ready to start World War III in response to the less-than-impressive drone incident in the previous installment. The only means of stopping the escalation of hostilities is locating Fayed or Grenenko, two men who have little love for each other. Jack’s hands are, as usual, quite full.

Mike Doyle turns out to be a lot like Jack, which as noted before, gives an interesting perspective on the process Jack is going through. Jack would never allow someone to suffer for his mistakes, if it was within his power to make things right. Once again, given Jack’s current lack of confidence, this is a straightforward mechanism for pushing Jack into doing more and more of the right thing rather than the expedient thing, especially if Doyle ever steps over the line.

Jack ends up with one of Gredenko’s associates, whose brother happens to be autistic. It’s odd to see Jack use such a soft and pleasant manner with a suspect, but it’s a nice touch. The autism angle was an unnecessary element of sentimentality, used to make things more complicated. The actor who played Brady didn’t quite sell the character, which made it a bit more difficult for the scenes to work, but it showed that Jack was more than a one trick pony with the torturing. It still came across as a Very Special Episode of “24”, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse.

Back at the presidential bunker, Sandra Palmer miraculously reappears after disappearing for several episodes. She was hardly missed, and this time around, her part in the plot has nothing to do with her previous political stance. She’s just there to facilitate Karen’s plan to counter Daniels’ attack by putting Wayne Palmer back in a conscious state. That doesn’t quite make sense from a political perspective, but it does give Daniels a chance to toss out more bluster.

Just when the drama at CTU seems to be more professional than personal, Milo’s feelings for Nadia become an open topic of conversation. Frankly, neither character is interesting enough to make this worth the time. And why Chloe would be the one to bring this up with Milo is hard to reconcile, since she’s usually a bit more on task and annoyed with interpersonal complications. Then again, without a strong foil at CTU, Chloe has been all over the map in terms of characterization this season. By the end of the episode, Jack has Gredenko in hand and ready for a bit of tough questioning. Unfortunately, as with so many situations on “24”, Jack is forced into considering a deal with Gredenko to get Fayed and the nuclear warheads. Daniels, itching for some mutually assured destruction, is less than pleased when Wayne calls off his strike on the Middle East. This leads into what should be an interesting (if familiar) power play for control of the government.

The pacing of the episode made it feel more like a transitional episode than anything else, and as that, it struggled. One is reminded of the transitional episode in the fourth season where Jack was aided by two Arab-Americans, a transparent attempt to liven up a mediocre installment with something distracting. While this actually ends with Grendenko in custody, the season is rapidly approaching the point where the next major twist takes place, so it could be a temporary victory.
  • What has happened to my 24? It's almost as if they've forgotten how to properly tell the season's story in infamous exciting 24 fashion.

    7.6
    "Good"
    24 Episode 6.15 "Day Six 8:00PM-9:00PM"

    Airdate: Monday, March 26th 9:00PM-10:00PM

Anybody remember the days when the crunch hours of the season were intensely satisfying in wrapping up the threat? By "crunch hours" I mean the final hours of a story arc. Like second season's pulse-pounding interrogation of Syed Alli leading to Jack staging the death of one of his sons in order to find the bomb? Or third season's Tony committing treason to save Michelle leading to the delayed yet incredible capturing of Saunders? And here we are in Day Six and one of these crunch hours was spent catching Gredenko through a terrorist collaborator's autistic brother while CTU was too busy having make out sessions with a cheap Tony and Michelle imitation. What has happened to my 24? It's almost as if they've forgotten how to properly tell the season's story in infamous exciting 24 fashion.

While the writers did a good job in establishing a sense of caring with Brady's character, now is not the time for the yearly single episode plot line where we're introduced to the innocent bystander who Jack needs to use and have their life be on the line. It was also nice to see Jack's tenderness with Brady when explaining the situation, but again, this wasn't the right place in the season for it. Finding Gredenko should have been more along the lines of typical 24 shootout and/or chase scene which there hasn't been too much of this season anyway. This just seemed all too basic. But I'm hoping it was just setting the stage for a massively action-packed scene in finding Fayed and the bombs. On its own, I did think it was probably the best one episode character story since the Season Four episode with the two campers being chased by Marwan, but it was really misplaced as far as the most effective way to play out the season goes.

So there's this place called CTU whose job is to save the world in twenty-four hours... then there's this place called Chucky Cheese which actually has a better chance of saving the world. I can really just picture a scene with Bill coming out of his office with a clipboard checking things off as he passes through CTU. "My new head of Field Ops withholding information from me? Check. Two of my top analysts making out in an unconcealed area? Check. Morris chugging a bottle of whiskey in a bathroom stall and Chloe testing his breath with her mouth? Check. Half my comm team watching "I Know What You Did Last Summer" in the Situation Room? Might as well be a check. Damn, still got those two nukes out there. Ah well, it's one of those days where Jack's working for us and we're not even paying him; it's all good." Bill, you're the man and I love your character, but I think a high powered flip out on your part is long overdue to whip your CTU back into shape. A calm, reasonable CTU Director like Buchanan is something Jack & Co. have never really had before, but maybe a jerk like Chappelle is what CTU needs right now. Because I can guarantee none of this would be happening under his watch; then again, Jack never would have had the support and confidence he gets from Bill so all in all I guess it evens out. But I don't know, the new cast has grown on me but still not as lovable as the old crew-- and it'd be nice if it actually started being an effective unit again.

Back in Washington, President Palmer was brought out of his coma to think to himself... "Good thing my brother was president first so I could learn from his mistakes. That poor sap picked an untrustworthy Vice President who tried to remove him from office. But ME on the other hand... oh wait...". But then again, those thoughts were probably secondary to the realization that he had superhuman recovery powers. But you know the Palmer family motto: Being ten feet from an explosion and have swelling in the brain are no reasons to not come out of a coma and be fully coherent afterwards... well that, and choosing god awful VPs. But that's not my only disappointments from the White House plot this episode. Boo to no bickering between Tom and Karen. Boo to Sandra Palmer having to utilize that device of hell known as her voice box. And boo to the VP's decision continuing to make no sense whatsoever. Can we please get some indication that he has a secret agenda or is his illogical reasoning to bomb the Middle East solely a move of desperation by the writers to create more drama? Sigh.

Not happy. The only glimmer of hope I had during the weakness of the first half of the season was that it would serve as a slow build up to the powerful conclusion in the crunch hours of the season, but minus a couple great episodes here and there it hasn't really happened. It also hasn't helped that we still haven't received any official news on Logan; nor the fact that it looks like Jean Smart was brought back for one measly episode. But even that wouldn't bother me so much if there were other things going on that would make me forget about that. The magic is gone and I'm wondering if it was even worth it to continue the show into a sixth season. I just really hope the writers have something big up their sleeves because this season just isn't cutting it and on the rate it's going may be the first season not nominated for Best Drama at the Emmy's.

    Overall Episode Rating: 7.6
  • Jack Bauer + Rain Man = comedy gold!

    6.1
    "Fair"
We've got a winner in the categories of "Least Likely Partner for Jack Bauer," and "Least Likely Interrogation Victim of Jack Bauer": An autistic man named Brady who cracks into systems instead of counting cards. No mention as to whether or not he gets his underwear from K-Mart.

Jack Bauer manages to interrogate two people (including Brady), but in an unprecendented move for 24 writers, no torture is to be had for either of them. While the scenario is incredibly ludicrous, I'm happy with the way the Brady interrogation came out: It's amusing watching Jack Bauer speaking so softly, but it was also nice having him recognize what conditions he was dealing with and adapting accordingly.

In other plot news, Wayne wakes up. Woo. Vice President Noah Daniels manages to be nasty and headstrong, as per usual. Milo and Nadia (are the 'shippers gonna call them "Maladia?") are but a shadow of Tony/Michelle, two characters that are pretty bland doing what they can in the wake of two characters that had significantly more chemistry.

Considering how awesome the first few episodes were compared to where we are now, this season reminds me of S4. We've lost Philip and Graem Bauer, who could have added the awesome family-versus-family dynamic they appeared to aim for in the beginning of the season, and are left with the wife and Boy Kim, of which only the former has had any airtime over the past month.

For a main villain, we've got Abu Fayed, who appears to be the Habib Marwan of the season, again hailing from "this Middle Eastern country." Gone are the suddenly-shifting main villains of seasons previous (the change from Gaines to Drazen, Middle Eastern Terrorists to US Oil Companies, Amador to Saunders, RoboCop to Logan and back and forth) and back with the one-track end goal. (To Fayed's credit, at least he's not pulling plans out of his butt, and is struggling to make his way to the end goal.)

It just seems a pity. Even with most of the show's strongest characters gone (except for Jack, Chloe, and arguably Buchanan), there was enough at the onset to make this a truly classic season: the Bauer paterfamilias and brother, Jack's trauma from his torture in China (it's been a few hours since they've shown his scarred hand), even the fallout (morale-wise, not nuclear) from the detonation in Valencia, on top of all the terror attacks which supposedly happened beforehand.

Instead, we have an episode where Jack Bauer is teaming up with Rain Man to bring down a Russian general.

And that's all I have to say about that.
  • Rainman stops terrorists with statistics

    "Good"
    *no spoilers*

The sweet misunderstood mentally retarded Forest Dustin Hoffman Gump, was laughable and predictable from start till end, still, mildly entertaining nonsense.

Milo Nadia, predictable cheese, so predicable, you could declare yourself Nostradamus.

The incompetent president scenario was done during season 2, regurgitated but never the less, one of the more interesting regurgitations.

That being said, the structure and general layout as well as pacing of the episode, was very much enjoyable, considerably more enjoyable than the previous episode.

while the scope and grandeur from the first four episodes have been shrunk down to but a pinhole from episodes after, there still seems to be a distinct lack of focus with 24 when watching week by week, it just doesn’t seem as continuous as it should be, but never the less, still enjoyable, if you haven’t seen this episode, and aren’t over critical, worth your invested leisure time.
  • I'm sorry, but is this day 2 or 6???? Shall I just grab my season 2 DVD to find out how this ends???

    7.3
    "Good"
First of all, presidental storyline. I thought VP Daniels was good to declare war on middle eastern country. It would of been different, becuase it hasn' happened in 24 yet. Unfortuantly, the cancellation already has happened. Day 2... 25th amendment..... day 2 again...

CTU storyline. Alright. I am officially sick of Milo, Nadia and Morris. The whole kiss thing had me thinking 'Tony and Michelle' from day 2. Mike Doyle is annoying, as is his new friend who looks like a fool, particually when the camera stared at him for abot a minute too long.

Jack storyline. Good. I thought the whole 'disabled-brother' was very interesting and different. Interesting to see Kiefer Sutherland expand on his acting. More interesting that this theme may or may not be rumoured to maybe appear in upcoming or not upcoming episodes.

Logan storyline. Fantas... wait a minute... what happened to him??? where is he???? whats going on???? Same with Audrey... "oh, shes dead"... thats all... nothing else...

All in all, fix some things up, remove a few charaters and Stop Replaying Season 2!!!
  • Jack finally figures out how to apprehend Gredenko, while the President faces off with Vice President Daniels.

    8.3
    "Great"
After last week's episode seemed to get some of this series mojo back, they really let it slip away again with this episode. I'm not saying it was bad, nor am I saying that it wasn't entertaining. What I'm saying is that more and more the show is becoming a parody of itself, and even worse, is getting increasingly sloppy with its writing. We've now gone two full weeks without a single mention of Charles Logan being stabbed in the neck and rushed to a hospital or of Martha Logan being led away in cuffs. Its almost like those two characters fulfilled their purpose in driving the narrative and were just dropped by the writers going forward. If it wasn't for the fact that their storyline brough Aaron back (briefuly) I'd be mad as hell we had to see them at all this year. For chrissake, at least let us know whether he died or not! Furthermore, we just went a full episode with no mention of the Audrey plotline. They dropped that bombshell on us last week, Jack seemed to rededicate his life with this issue as a catalyst, and like that... it was gone. Look, it wasn't my intent to make this a negative review. It's not that the episode itself was completely awful; the tension with waiting for the president to wake up was cool, and his showdown with Daniels at the end was great, as was the sting on Gredenko. Its more about what I'm seeing week to week. I've loved 24 since season 1, watched every episode since then too. But this season has been (in my opinion) far and away the worst. I'd been losing interest for several weeks, last week really pulled me back in, and then this week let me down again. They keep introducing too many small plots that they subsequently lose interest in (case in point, last night's new creepy dude that double crossed Ricky Shroeder), and this is at the expense of storylines involving characters we care about. How much has Chloe been on recently? The answer- not very much. The show is slipping, and I hope that in the next couple weeks they can right the ship and make me a believer again.

Wow this weeks episode rocked! I can't believe that Jack actually caught Gredenko! Thata crazy! But he's not going to be happy with Gredenko's terms- amnesty and no deportation! And Milo and Nadia! They kissed! Ya! I didn't really like Mike Doyle when he was first introduced but he's redeemed himself. I thought he hadn't turned in that evidence but he was having Morris verify it. I don't like that new guy who gave Mike the evidence and went behind his back and told Milo. And Vice President Daniels! Saying that Wayne Palmer isn't of sound mind! I was so happy that Wayne is back. I was afraid they were going to kill him off. Hopefully he can stay president! All is all it was a very good episode with lots of action and excitment! This is why i watch 24!
  • Jack gets a lead on Gredenko while Mike Doyle comes across evidence that Nadia is innocent of any wrongdoing.

"I'am so happy to hear you're alive"-Vice President Daniels to President Palmer. LMAO

Well what a shocker, it looked from the previews that President Palmer would be dead because of his injuries but he survived enough to stop the demented Daniels from carrying out his attack on Russians. A well acted episode with lots of suspense. Jack got a great lead on Gredenko which coincided with Nadia's innocence. A programmer of course was supplying Gredenko with top secret codes but he was Nadia's computer to make it look like somebody from CTU was a spy. Jack and Doyle tracked down the guy but wounded him in the process. The guy turned out to have an autistic brother so Jack used him to catch Gredenko.

I'am glad that Doyle didn't turn out to be a jerk (this show has enough of them). At first, I thought he would keep the evidence to free Nadia a secret, but he didn't. What a kiss that was with Nadia and Milo!!!!! Nadia is a strong woman who doesn't let her guard down bu I know she liekd that kiss. Those last ten minutes had me hooked and laughing as Daniels is so arrogant and possessed to start World War III. When he launched the order, Tom put his hands on his head acting like a guy that just learned that his dog had died!!! Powers Boothe is great as playing this hardnosed, stubborn guys and he's easily become one of the most notorious villains in the show even though he's supposed to represent the President. Jack only did half the job though he got a great lead on Gredenko but Fayed is still out there, so the question remains what will happen next? Great episode.
  • Typical Season 6 episode.

Though it did hold my attention, when it finally ended, it was like, what happened? Things happened but it was like "Nothing new here (some old back at the CTU)" or "That was predictable (what happened with Prez. Palmer and VP Daniels)" or "been there done that (break into house, shoot traitor/terrorist scum bag)". And what happened to Logan? A couple of episodes ago his wife plunged a knife into his chest and his heart stops on the way to the hospital-and? Is he dead? Alive? Just please dont let it be him picking up Jack in a car at the end of the finale. Kiefer sometimes seems to be going thru the motions and sleepwalking thru an episode; this was one of those.

More and more I get the feeling season 6 peaked with the Curtis and the Valencia bomb episode (best of the season so far). Its been pretty much downhill from there; though there have been some bright spots here and there. Theres only 2 bombs left; I get the feeling Jack will stop them - just in the nick of time... and that will be that. That plus the mystery guest that picks Jack up in car. Hopefully they will suprise me in the stretch run.

There will be a season 7 (unless Kiefer decides hes had enough) so I hope they come up with something mind blowing and truly original next season. When they finally do end "24" Jack should go out in a blaze of glory. Despite its problems this season its still in my top 3 favorite shows.
  • What the hell is this! Plot lines left unresolved, recycled storylines to the extreme! Horrible acting by most of the main cast. My favourite show has just dropped to a new low.

Logan? They end the episode with him crashing 2 hours ago. Audrey is dead apparently? (mentioned last episode) these are two things that were totally unecessary to happen as they have, so far, not had any consequences on any character in the main part of the storyline. I just feel these two events were "plants" to be used for shock value later on in the season... perhaps the finale? Maybe I should start writing this show...

The Milo/Nadia storyline is eugh, when those two kissed, the image of Tony and Michelle kissing just popped into my head, it was just that moment recreated again.. 2 character that like each other and kiss under extreme circumstances.

Brady and Mark were just 2 characters inserted into the episode and did not really serve any purpose... sure Brady was disabled and thats something we haven't seen before... but it just seemed so forced and unecessary. Although Kiefer's acting was good (I liked the moment when he went from being soft and sweet with Brady to angry and serious with his brother Mark), Jack seems totally out of place compared to previous seasons.

The presidential storyline started out interesting but has now turned into a soap opera! It would be nice to see 24 without a corrupt member of presidential administration for once! I thought Wayne was going to die when he started crashing, a moment that brought no sadness or suspense to be whatsoever! Why? They bumped off Palmer, Keeler, Logan? and Wayne, thats all 4 of 24's presidents killed! thats probably more than in the history of the USA if it were to happen!

Anyway in a nutshell, this show needs to pick up pace fast or its going to lose a lot more viewers going into its 7th season.

They need a change of format, get out of LA, get rid of CTU because its old, its repetative and its been done now so many times anyone can predict what is going to happen.

why the heck is jack not shooting peoples kneecaps or cutting of their fingers or torturing them. this was how it was in every single season but this one i mean come one couldn't he have roughed up gredenko a bit. if jack keeps up his kind attitude then this will probably be the last season

Yeah, what happened to logan? He starts crashing and thats the last we hear of him. But now onto 8:00 - 9:00. Ok, who honestly is taken aback by jack's major soft spot for autistic people? It doesn't seem like jack. I find Mark's Willingness to help out so easily a bit of a ripoff, nothing really extreme save the being shot in the foot(or was it his leg?). At least they didn't bring back the whole "Morris is drunk! Go kiss him to prove us wrong" Storyline again, I can do without that.

The very slow paced 6th season seems to be picking up now with the capture of one of the men behind the bombs going off in the United States - Dmtri Gredenko. This episode was pretty action packed all the way throughout, with action taking place in all three of the main storylines. Milo and Nadia’s kiss was well expected, but it was more passionate and intense then a lot of use likely predicted. That kiss ranks up there with Tony and Michelle’s first kiss way back in season 2, till be interesting to see if anything else unfolds between the two of them in the episodes to come. The situation at the White House got pretty intense - with Wayne Palmer able to stop the launch of the nuclear strike before Noah could officially deliver the strike. Next episode looks like a repeat of the 25th amendment that Wayne’s brother faced in season 2, let’s hope it doesn’t feel as repeated this go around. Jacks scenes were pretty intense and his on screen connection with the retard (sorry I don’t remember his name) was really well done. Now that Gredenko is caught, Fayed shouldn’t be too far behind. Overall it was a pretty good episode, better then a lot of the filler episodes from this season, but not as good as some of the episodes at the start of the season...
  • What happened to Logan!? Why are all of these plots recycled? Why isn't Jack part of the story anymore!? All I have to say is that it was predictable at best, and an improvement on the previous episode, but most certainly not by much.

*sigh*, Here we go again with the seemingly rushed and recyled plotlines of the world renowned Day 6, where the writers just seem to keep running out of ideas.

Well, I wonder where I've seen plotting to start World War III from the Vice Prez? Where have I seen a mole in CTU? Hmmm...and where could I possibly have seen a nuclear strike planned? Throughout this episode I was constantly repeating "Day 2, Day 2, Day 2..." in my head.

To be honest, I was surprised at the fact that the President woke up from the coma successfully. I knew however that the warning strike would be stopped somehow, as I'm sure many viewers did in this episode. The predictability of this show is going up, after all of the things we've seen before all too many times.

Logan wasn't even looked upon in this episode, either. And poor him--he's probably off dying in a hospital somewhere. You know, the least the writers could do is slap some cameras in front of him so the plot isn't completely dropped. I kept thinking, "I can't wait to find out what happens to Logan. They've gotta show it sometime in this episode." Wrong. Wrong. All too wrong. Logan wasn't even mentioned! You'd think after being stabbed by his ex-wife, CTU'd get at least get his medical status. And after 2 hours!? He's probably dead already!

That whole Brady thing was sort of entertaining. It's amazing that Gredanko fell for that pathetic trap, whereas in Day 3, when the trade was happening between the daughter of that freaky terrorist dude and Michelle Dessler, the guy came with backup everywhere.

Jack, once again, was more of a side character in this episode than the hero of the series. He chatted with Brady and set up the squad to stop Gredanko, but the rest was all Nadia's non-moleness, the VP's predictable "I don't give a crap about these countries so I'm going to start World War III because of it" attitude, and Sandra Palmer's pathetically annoying whining.

Overall, if you missed this episode, you didn't miss much. Watch next week's recap and you'll be fine. You missed an hour of disappointing character involvement (not just Jack, but Logan also), Milo making out with Nadia (wow, big surprise there), and dropped plotlines. The writers will need to pull off a miracle to salvage this season, maybe even the whole show, from endangerment of losing public interest.

This was a very good episode.

Doyle redeems himself. Jack has a heart. Daniels continues his political agenda. Milo is a sly dog!!!!

Jack character remains true with his compassion to Brady!

Daniels character (like him or hate him (mostly hate)) portrays how far he's willing to go to wield his power and now how far he's willing to go to remain in power.

Doyle gets a character boost with his contemplation of the evidence that Nadia's innocent. Bravo to the writers for not having yet another mole (leak) inside CTU. How many times can CTU be compromised? I'm glad they went the other way on this.

Milo is a sly dog. Can you spell sexual harassment? and is Chloe a voyeur???? just kidding. Good to see Wayne up and saving the day. He looked like he was about to fire Daniels over the phone.

Glad to see some advancement in the Fayed/Gredenko chase.

Anyone else find it odd that this is the second straight hour with no mention of former president Logan and his condition. I realize that his storyline was probably filler but I think the viewers have a right to know.

    Overall, very good episode.
