The episode starts off with a press announcement stating the resignation of the secretary of defense and President Charles Logan involvement in the negotiation talks. As this goes on Logan is dressing up and is informed of the arrival of the Russian president in the next 20 minutes he then, receives a call telling him of Pablo death and that Jack escaped is looking for blood, Logan is also advised to back out but Logan says it is too late as his involvement has already been announced.

As Bauer and Reid walk across an alley James tells him about not able to get a trace on the phone and can only do it back at his place which jack tells him to to so and call him when he is done. he then tells Reid that her life is in danger and removes the sim from her phone and tells her to go and meet someone she trusts, which she identified as her editor, he then tells her he can take her as far as a payphone then she is on her own.

Logan then approaches the place where President Taylor and Dalia were finishing up the agreement,here Logan is introduced to Dalia as she praises him for bringing the Russians back to the table as Dalia enters the elevator she asks whether they found out how Charles Logan was influential in bringing the Russian to the table, but as the answer was negative she then asks her ad-visor not to worry as she trusts President Taylor,on the other end Logan give an update report on Bauer to President Taylor and tells her to call the editor under the guise of national security which leads to an argument which Logan wins.

Meanwhile at C.T.U Chloe and Arlo finds the body of the Russian whom Jack killed by taping into a video camera and Chloe is uncertain if she convince Jack to come back into his senses. they also identify the individual James that is helping Jack. She then tells Arlo to check his picture under d.m.v database to find James alias as to find Jack.

James calls Jack and tells him moving on Logan is a different ball game and gives him Logan's route Jack then thanks him for all his done and asks him to delete all connections he has to him he then steals a car and drives away.

President Taylor then calls Tim and tells him to find Reid and Stop her from releasing the story which he believes to be a bad one but accepts. meanwhile Reid calls her editor and tells him about the story and asks for a meeting. Logan then tries to calm down the Russian Foreign Affairs minister who is afraid of his life. Jack then starts to attack President Charles Logan convoy and captures Logan.

In C.T.U James fake identity and address id found by Arlo and Chloe is the informed about Jack Bauer capturing Charles Logan. C.T.U then tries to get to the tunnel to catch Jack Bauer. Meanwhile Arlo and Chloe seem to have bugged the director's office and is eaves drooping on the assault on Jack.

As Jack interrogates Logan he finds out Logan did not have evidence on the Russian cover up and that he was bluffing and tells him about the Russian who is at the head of the conspiracy. Jack then knocks Logan unconscious and escapes from the C.T.U team.Chloe then releases Ortiz from prison under the guise of U.N security.

Meridith waits in a coffee shop she then receives a call from her editor telling her to run and maybe call justice department. Meanwhile Chloe then release Cole and asks him to track James.

Meanwhile Jack find where the Russian is staying and goes to ambush him on his way he gets stabbed, meanwhile Cole says if Jack does not surrender he will kill him.

Meridith then tries to calls Dalia but ends up getting Kaila which she tells about the Russian Conspiracy and tells her to tell her mother to reach her on the number she used to reach her as she goes the F.B.I arrests her and Tim tells President Taylor on about catching Meridith and she instructs no one sees what in on the data card apart from her.Logan tells his assistant to call the Russian delegate and tell him that Bauer knows but as he calls we find out everyone is dead. we then find out that the Russian president knew about everything but it seems that Bauer kept a bug on Logan's shirt and is listening to the conversation hence he know that the Russian president is involved.
