I read on this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_%28TV_series%29 that the 24 movie is not going ahead, due to the main plot line of the movie being used in a recent episode.
Can anyone confirm this/un-confirm this???

Be aware now, Wikipedia is one of the worst places to get "reliable" information.
Here's a question you can ask yourself. "Since when did Wikipedia user's start posting Insider Information on an "encyclopedia?"
If this was true, you can bet movie sites would have reported it.

I hope they don't cancelled the movie, or I'll get pissed off.

First off IMDB is just as bad as wikipedia and secondly no it is not cancelled. It is a bunch of made up bs. One of the wirters did say that they can't start a plot line for the movie because they'd probably end up using it in the current season. But other than that it is bs. The movie is still on and will come out by 2008, as of now.

I highly doubt there ever will be a movie. The more you hype up "24 Movie" the more people will watch the show. The writers of 24 know it's practically impossible to keep the nature of 24 in two hours, and that as long as they keep the rumor mill spinning, no one knows the better.
According to Keifer, the movie will take place over a 24 hour period, but the movie itself will only be about 2 hours. So bascially, it'll just be an action movie starring Jack Bauer. And there ain't nothing wrong with that.
I dare say a good part of the box office for the Sentinel is because of Keifer being in the movie and the way they marketed him and his role in the movie. So a movie could be successful given his growing potential as a box office draw.
I just saw the movie ads for the Sentinal, and there are striking similarities between 24.
Traitors in government, evil consipiricies, set-ups ETC....
For those who have seen it, is it really similar, or am I diluted?
