Sorry If this has already been posted, but I read the following article in uk weekly mens mag "Zoo", again sorry if it has already been posted. I have copied the article word for word below.

"Kiefer To Make Three 24 Movies"

"Kiefer Sutherland will take a well-earned break from all-day whiskey benders when day 5 of 24 finishes in June. But not for long. After months of speculation Sutherland has finally signed up to star in the first of three 24 movies. Bruce Willis, who is reportedly begging for a piece of the action, has already sent his die-hard vest to the cleaners to demonstrate his readiness for another A-list action role. The production clock is ticking: filming should start later this year".

Like I said this may have been mentioned but it had me excited anyway.

But it is supposed to be overseas. So it may be hard to factor in Bruce Willis as John McClane. Unless he's on vacation or something, then in the wrong place at the wrong time once again.

But Willis could play someone completely different, so who knows.

Oughta be a fun couple months for Kief and the rest of the crew. Filming the TV show and the movie. But then again they are helped out by the fact that they have until January to make new eps. The movie should be good though. I can't wait to see the Bauer-McClane duo!

Right now, nothing official has been said. FOX is denying that a deal in even in place yet.

Only Joel Surnow has said in an interview on 1up.com that they are developing the movie for a possible 2007 release.

Ah, I hope this is true.

The only thing I'm not looking forward to (if there is a 24 movie) will be finding someone to drag along with me. Not having any 24-fans as friends really is crap

I like Bruce Willis, and if 16 Blocks is a hit, that's all to the good. He needs one right about now. I loved all the Die Hard movies, too. I just don't see the producers doing something as cheesy as trying to put two franchises together. If they're going to go ahead with a 24 movie, they'll want it to be faithful to the series and the characters, and not try to work John McC. into the mix. I've heard there's talk about a fourth Die Hard, and that would be great. Maybe have one of the Gruber's sons or nephews being the bad guys this time??

Joel Surnow said the movie would take place overseas. And I don't think many fans of the show would complain if Bruce Willis was thrown into the mix somehow; most of 24's fanbase is action fans anyway, so an action movie with Bruce Willis would be just what the doctor ordered.

Yeah he'd be perfect for the mix because he can still keep with the tension and pace of the show, but he'd still be able to pull off being a smart @$$ to. It would be awesome to see him and Jack interacting. But still there is nothing solid about him appearing, he is said to want to appear in one of the films, so that could mean the first or the third.

Yes he is also willing to do a Die Hard 4, but he is waiting on a good script.

oh dear, i know exactly how you feel. I watch 24 for 5 years and none of my friends watch it. My gf simply dont watch action/shooting ppl type of show. My other firends just simply not into TV show. And the rest watch Lost, desperate housewives blah blah blah. Im still watch 24 alone after all these years.
Well, the movie sound cool and if the game is successful, the movie most likely is gonna be make. I support it all the way

Yea, but this is Fox we're talking about here. Alien vs. Predator anyone?

Anyway, I just hope after finishing the 1st movie, Kiefer doesn't feel burnt out (thus not renewing his contract). I mean, doing a TV show all year and then doing a movie on you supposed vacation time doesn't leave much time for Kiefer to relax like everyone else.

So this mean we wont see any 24 what-so-ever untill the first movie is out in 2007!? And please dont sign any big names like Bruce Willis, unless its like when they took Dan Marinos Car in Bad Boys (you know where he plays himself in a very little scene)

Every studio has their bad movies, Fox is no exception.

hate to be a killjoy here, but...

(dont get me wrong, i absolutely love 24)

...i dont see how any 24 movies will really work. The big concept behind 24 is the whole things happening in real time and is one long harsh day etc. U cant have a movie last 24 hours! Thats one hell of a trip to the cinema!!!
Obviously the film will have to condense a full days events into 2 hours, but itll just lose so much(e.g think of things like the airport hostage situation in S5 - that alone lasted around 2 hours i think - even if it was only 1 hour thats half the film etc)

I want this to be good, but its never gonna be better than the series'
