24: just finished watching season 3. found some plotholes, 1 of them really stupid

towards the end, palmer is being threatened that some medicince bottle used by alan had sherry's fingerprints on it, and that would prove that sherry was at alans house when he died and that palmer lied to the police chief. erm.. how exactly would the bottle prove all that? sherry's fingerprints could but put on the bottle at any time later on. palmer can simply say that sherry somehow attained the bottle and put her prints on the bottle deliberately to blackmail palmer. i dont understand how the bottle proves anything. its really stupid. if the police had actually found that bottle with sherry's prints on the crimescene, that might have proved something. but after that the bottle should be worthless as evidence right?

after julia shoots herself, wayne actually grabs her? how come the cops never found waynes fingerprints on julia's body?

other that these, loved the season. i was actually hoping season 7 would be something like this, but with tony. battle of the wits between jack and tony. didnt quite happen. that was more like tony backstabbing jack then challenging jack.. hmm.

hmm i never thought of it that way.... But why else would Sherry's fingerprints be on the bottle if not to let Alan die?

Plus the cleaning lady saw a car that looked like Sherry's... the prints would have locked the case...

you guys are missing the point. the prints could have been put on the bottle ANY TIME during the time it was missing. sherry was threatening that the bottle with her prints would be handed to the police right? so lets think about the police's perspective on this for a minute. what would u think if you were the police and someone gave you a bottle, that belonged to alan, with sherry's prints, HOURS after the death? would you think oh this is absolute proof that sherry was there? or would you think, hmm, the bottle was missing from the crimescene and was missing for the last several hours so even if it had the POPE's prints on it, that wouldnt prove anything, because anyone could have gotten anyone to have their prints on it during the time it was missing. right guys?

your ignoring that the bottle of pills isn't the only evidence. Like airtuna08 said there was the cleaning lady who saw the car and lets be honest julia is a terrible liar the dectetive could easily tell she was lying and it doesn't take a genius to figure out Sherry's involvement. Hell take the bottle out of the equation all together and its easy to see how Sherry's there. The point is why is her prints on the damn bottle if not to keep them from alan? Like I said theres no other reason for her to be carrying them.

well palmer at one point said and i quote "so without the bottle sherry has nothing right?" so they were treating the bottle to be the only major evidence, and hence they try to steal it. if there were other evidences, palmer wud be caught anyway. the cleaning lady saw a mercedes, which cud belong to anyone. as for julia she did spill the beans about sherry but the cops did not believe her over the pres so aparently her words mean nothing against the pres. and as for the bottle, the point im trying to make is that it is no evidence AT ALL. it was missing for several hours from the suspected crime scene. so anyone could have put their prints on it during that time. sherry cud have attained the bottle from someone else, and put her prints on it later just to blackmail the pres. the bottle turning up hours later with someone's prints on it does not prove that the person was there when alan died. if there was a way to test WHEN the prints were left on the bottle, then it might have been evidence, but thats simply not the case. so except for julia's statement which was not believed anyway, what other evidence of sherry's involvement is there?

Another plot hole in S3 is when they think they've located Saunders through his money trail but find that there is only a telephone rerouter thingy. The only reason for having so many guards on that buildingwould be for television suspense. Otherwise, there would be no purpose in that since they dispose of them easily and the discovery of that device is of no importance or consequence. Not to mention, when they actually do find him, there are no guards on his building.
