Is Mike Novick a good character or not? I was wondering about a scene with Mike Novick in I believe Season 5. It was outdoors and President Logan was about to meet the Russian President and his wife. Martha was talking to Logan while Mike was standing towards the side. I thought I saw Mike pick up the phone and talk to one of the terrorists...Martha was eyeing Mike at the time as well. But afterwards, there were no mention of Mike being on the bad guys' side.

Also.. what happened to Mike as of now? I don't believe he died or anything in Season 5, but just sort of disappeared in Season 6. Do you think (or know) if he will be coming back ever?

There really isn't a black and white with Mike Novick. He isn't exactly good but I wouldn't call him bad. He isn't dead even though he didn't appear in S6.

At first thought I have to say bad, since he's kind of the reason Lynne Kresge got pushed down several flights of stairs before warning Palmer about Prescott's conspiracy to kick him out of office.
But in Seasons 4 and 5, he seems to make up for this, by being on the 'good' side. I don't recall Novick talking to the terrorists...are you sure?

In S5 he did. When Logan told him to give the terrorists the Russians (can't spell the name) motorcade route. The reason they did this was to prevent further nerve gas attacks. Not because Logan and Novick were evil.

    Oh, well I knew that...
I thought that CoCo was talking about an actual terrorist conversation, not Mike following Logan the idiot's orders.

Mike's good, he just didn't trust Jack as much as Palmer did in season 2. Now he probably does, but then he didn't. So he did what he thought was right, even though he betrayed Palmer, but he still came in at the end and saved the day for him. Plus he helped take down Logan and in season 4 he said he wouldn't betray another president, so he learned his lesson. So he's good.

I think Mike was well needed, he was bad in S2, wanting to kick Palmer out of office behind the public's back. But then he got fired so he learned something. He made up for this in S4 and Season 5. He is a great character.

Ohh! Thanks to ModernTimes for the clarification. I didn't know that was the reason.. now I understand the plot and what kind of character Mike is/was.

Screechingjdp2: Yeah, I was talking about an actual terrorist conversation (or so I thought). I wasn't aware that he was doing so under Logan's orders because he was eyeing Logan and Martha while he talked to them and I thought he was another secret spy or something.

    God forbid.
I think another mole is the last thing 24 needs...
Jamey, Nina, Spenser, Marianne, Walt, Logan, and then Morris armed a Nuke for a terrorist...

Mike being a terrorist would crush me. Almost as much as I was crushed when he was the reason Lynne was incapacitated.

People that should not be bad at all costs:

Chloe, Tony, Jack(DUH), Morris, Milo(he's dead anyway), Bill, Karen, and many more, I don't include dead people except for Milo.. Anyone know more?
