I would think that Wayne Palmer is safe from getting the Axe but after last season and them killing of the rest of the main character's I'm not so sure I hope that he lives.

I doubt he will die. First David in season 5, now his brother? It wouldn't seem right. Somehow he will be saved but I think another nuke will go off. Only one more.

It wouldn't make any sense to kill him.... but they did kill Tony last year and that made zero sense, so who knows.

I think the bomb will go off, but Palmer will be saved by Assad, and he will die. Palmer will just be injured, and will not be able to continue in service, until the last hours of the day.

There is one thing about the previews for next week that indicates he will live. The fact that we know the who (Reed), what (a bomb), where (press room), when (the next hour), and why (he's not arresting innocent people) leads me to believe that it's just a teaser. The thing we have to remember about this show is that when a main character dies, there's no indication. Even at the start of Day 5, we were lead to believe that one person would be shot. What we didn't know was that Palmer, Tony, and Michelle would be taken out in less than 15 minutes.

Noah Daniels. He was the guy who Wayne talked to when he was in the room with Assad.
