  • Season 1 Episode 1: Day 1: 12:00 A.M. - 1:00 ...

  • When Jack is walking into CTU, there are splitscreen shots of him talking with his wife, yet on the close up he has the phone pinched against his shoulder with his head cocked to hold it there, while the wide shot just shows him walking normally holding the phone up to his ear with this right hand.

  • This is the episode in which the clock sound before and after the commercials is different than the sound in the rest of the episodes.

  • Mandy comes from the back of the plane to get her carry on suitcase and retreats. She is next shown changing clothes with the passengers visible through the curtain and she is in front of them.

  • Season 1 Episode 2: Day 1: 1:00 A.M. - 2:00 A.M.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Jack and Richard are trying to leave the building in Dunlop Plaza, right after Jack reties a tourniquet with Richard's tie, crew members are visible to the right side of a door frame that they walk through.

  • At Dunlop Plaza, when Jack and Walsh leave the stairwell and head into the hallway, the camera follows close behind Walsh as they turn the corner. As it follows them, you can plainly see the torso of a man in a blue shirt with his arms crossed to the left of the screen along with someone's forearm. This happens just as Walsh exits the stairwell, holding out his gun in the opposite direction and before the camera whips around to Walsh and Jack. The gun blocks the face of the blue shirt man, and only the forearm of another can briefly be seen.

  • Although each hour is supposed to unfold in real-time, there are three minutes that are unaccounted for. This is due to the fact that the final three minutes of each hour are used for commercials, station ID and previews for upcoming episodes of 24.

  • When Jack calls Nina from outside the parking garage, he tells her, "I'm at 2350 Dunlop Plaza, the North Garage." However, a few seconds later Tony calls up a transcription of their conversation onto his computer screen, and there is a close of the part of the text which (incorrectly) reads, "2350 DUNLOP PLAZA THE NORTH PARKING GARAGE," even though Jack said "I'm at," before this, and he never said "parking" in front of "garage".

  • The clock on screen reads 01:44 when Keith and Nicole Palmer show up. Then, at the next scene with Teri and Alan, it reads 01:42. Since this isn't Time Bandits, the editor has assumed the latter was intended to read 01:45 and adjusted it accordingly.

  • Season 1 Episode 3: Day 1: 2:00 A.M. - 3:00 A.M.

  • The opening recap features Jamey telling Jack on the phone that the card came from Nina's computer. But she did not say this in the previous episode.

  • Season 1 Episode 4: Day 1: 3:00 A.M. - 4:00 A.M.

  • The police officer got confirmation that the call about Kim was made "approximately half an hour ago", but the call was made in the previous episode and the time of this scene was shown as 3:44AM, which would make that information false. It was closer to an hour ago.

  • When Palmer told Carl over the phone to leave future messages on his "802" phone, 802 is the area code for Vermont. Why would a Maryland senator have a number in a state he does not represent?

  • Goof: When Allan York got out of the car when pulled over, he closed the door. When he was talking to the officer, the door was open in the background, and when he walked back to the car to get in again, it was closed.

  • Goof: When Alan York and Teri Bauer drive away after being pulled over, their license plate is 4IEH746. Minutes later, when they see the ambulance, it's 4TWO520.

  • Season 1 Episode 5: Day 1: 4:00 A.M. - 5:00 A.M.

  • When David Palmer walks into his son's room, the time has just been ticking on screen showing 4:40 AM. The alarm clock in his son's room says 4:57 AM.

  • A few episodes ago, Palmer's son said, "If I'm awake at this time of night, I'm not sleeping." However, we see Palmer walk into his son's room in this episode and he's sleeping.

  • Season 1 Episode 6: Day 1: 5:00 A.M. - 6:00 A.M.

  • When the fake Alan disconnected the monitor, it should have rung an alarm in the ICU nurse's station. If, for some bizarre reason, not then, then definitely when Janet's heart rate started to fluctuate -- after all, she had nearly died recently. In the aftermath of a near-fatal incident such as hers, real ICU nurses would have been monitoring her very closely.

  • Season 1 Episode 7: Day 1: 6:00 A.M. - 7:00 A.M.

  • When Kim pushes Rick off of her when they are pretending to make out, he is shoved into some metal shelves and for just an instant, a cameraman is visible on the right side of the screen.

  • When Kevin gets the message from Gaines on his cell phone, we see him take the keys out of the ignition. When he gets out of the car, you hear the ring that usually tells you that you left the key in the car.

  • Kevin tells Teri that Kimberly will die if he doesn't bring her to Gaines in a half hour. He's been conked out, he just came to, and his hands are tied behind his back. Since his watch is presumably on one of his wrists, how does he know what time it is?

  • Gaines' monitor image (and our POV) of Nina apparently lying dead appears to come from a handheld camera from someone walking up behind or to the side of Jack as he shoots her. Even though there does seem to be one in the thugs' car, neither of them get out of the car, and, even if they had used the camera, the POV shots don't match up to what they can see while seated in the car. There's no way they could view over the embankment, where Nina lands.
