Where do I begin on this train wreck of an episode?

This had to have written by people not on the 30 Rock writing staff. The dialogue, the mannerisms, the behavior, it all just felt really, really weird. Tracy wanting a woman in his entourage? Jack being obsessed with a man because he likes sports? Liz having a casual office affair? These just are not the kind of storylines you expect from this great show.

Things got a little better in the second half, but that opening scene in the club was just about the dumbest thing this show has ever done, and I realize how a bold a statement that is.

If the ratings for this episode do not turn out horrible, I will truly, truly be shocked. This episode really made my head hurt.moreless

  • A different style of episode, but a welcomed change...

True, this episode was a different style from the other episodes, but that is what makes the show so great. Too many shows ("Two and a Half Men" for example) stay the exact same: the characters never grow and the situations never change. It's the same thing every week - and unfortunately, many audiences are not bothered by this. 30 Rock is a higher quality show with much more sophisticated humor. So when the show changes, to actually allow a character to transform, it's a breath of fresh air - which is actually what 30 Rock has been all along.

    Review:
Another amazing 30 Rock episode! If you are a Jack and Liz "shipper" then this will quickly become a favourite episode. However, even if you're not rooting for the hookup, the episode is still hilarious. Danny (go Canada!) was great, as was the Gossip Girl plot line. It was fun to learn about Sue's character but the show is still not getting enough of Pete. Loved the Steve Nash reference, Jenna holding Twilight, the Harry Potter talk, and seeing Jack jealous. Jack and Liz have to hook up! All this teasing is just abusive. Although, Danny and Liz would have been cute together - it's too bad they ended that so soonmoreless

    • Jack: Lemon, I have season tickets to every sports team in New York, so close to the action you'll feel like you're sitting in front of an HD television. Edit
    • Danny: I wanna be TGS' Steve Nash: come down from Canada, work hard, make the black guy look good. Edit
    • Jack: For four years I've had to make do with what passes for men in this place, with their untucked shirts, boneless faces, their Stars, both Wars and Trek. I needed a man around here, and I finally have one. Liz: No, I finally have one. Liz Lemon has a handsome, goof-around, make-out buddy. Jack: And that's the problem. Danny can't be my alpha-male wingman and his boss'... little scrump-nugget. They're incompatible. Edit
