30 Rock

The group just finished filming their 50^th episode and all the writers decide to celebrate. Jack goes to the party and tells Liz in private about the need for cutbacks. Since there are profit losses on the business side, Jack needs to cutback on the entertainment end. First he had to let go of his assistant, Jonathan.



Liz is given the job to create a presentation for Brad Hollister, who is one of the persons to blame for the cutback decision. Liz presents in big screen what makes TGS worthwhile of funding. Brad meets with her in the conference room and lets her know that she needs to cut the budget by 25 percent.



Kenneth has sort of become Jack's new assistant. Since Kenneth works two jobs now, Tracy agrees to help feed Kenneth's birds. Kenneth is very grateful that Tracy wants to help, but his one rule is for him to not enter his bedroom. This makes Tracy curious.



Jack is on a roll when it comes to firing employees but Liz is going crazy over the idea of having to fire people. Jack tells her to make her cuts and live to fight another day. She is amazed that Jack can be so simplistic about the whole scenario.



Tracy comes to the conclusion that Kenneth may be a serial killer since he is so against anyone entering his bedroom. Tracy tells Jenna about this and they go to Jack but Kenneth stops them from seeing him. Jenna gets scared and thinks that maybe Kenneth is as evil as speculated.



Liz stresses out about seeing her employees have to lose their jobs so she comes up with the idea to use sexual espionage to solve the problem. She asks Brad on a date, he accepts, and she dresses in the trashiest outfit she can find.



Tracy and Jenna decide to break into Kenneth's bedroom. They do not discover dead bodies like they thought they would. Instead, there is a bug bomb that is smoking up the room. From this, they believe that Kenneth is trying to poison them and they run out of there.



Tracy and Jenna forget to close the door as they run out of Kenneth's apartment and the bug bomb ends up killing Kenneth's bird. When they tell Kenneth the news, he is more sad of the fact that Tracy and Jenna did not trust him, more so than he is about his dead bird.



After Liz's trashy date, she discovers that cutbacks are still taking place at TGS. She confronts Brad and asks why there are still cutbacks after messing around with him. Brad did not know that he was being used the whole time and he charges Liz with sexual harassment. Since Brad was so offended by what had happened, he ended up leaving his job. Jack takes over and he fires Kenneth as his assistant.



Jenna and Tracy feel horrible about what they did to Kenneth. They find Kenneth and tell him that they have filled his entire apartment with a collection of birds.
