30 Rock: Still good

Why are all these people saying that 30 rock is getting worse? I think it's still as funny as when it started, maybe even better. Each episode seems to have it's own style of comedy, it's always been like that.

I think it's still funny too, but the show has gotten a lot more self-referential. Plus, the pace of the comedy has slowed down compared to two seasons ago; what was once a staccato has now taken a more leisurely pace.

I also agree the actors have all hit the stride now and developed their characters more. I also think the relationship between Fey and Baldwin is a big part of what makes the show great

The chemistry between Liz and Jack is palpable, that I agree with.

It's always much better on the second viewing. There's a lot of one liners that are easy to miss.

I don't think the show is getting worse as it goes on, if anything it's been getting stronger. The characters have developed a lot, Jack & Liz have a great relationship, as does Jenna and Tracy now (I love when they are being diva's together!) I really hope Alec renews his contract, and everyone else does too so we can get some more seasons past season 5!

Don't worry about the haters. I know a lot of fans that believe and support the fact that it's growing into its skin as one of the best shows out there!

I think 30 Rock keeps getting better and better. The Jack/Liz relationship is not one where two opposites spar and flirt, spar and flirt, then get together, thus destroying the show. It is not going to finish that one story arc and then be left with nowhere to go. Jack and Liz might never get together, but they do have a relationship where Liz is the buffer zone between the crazy writers and performers, and the corporate world, that keeps it all afloat. Jack sees himself in a mentor role with Liz, but sometimes the pupil teaches the master. I explore this thread further in my review of the latest episode, When it Rains, It Pours.

I think the story lines have gotten much worse as time has gone by, but it is still on par with the other seasons in terms of being funny (maybe a little less).

I am with you the first few episodes were ok but not funny, i think over the past years the seasons have been funnier. I love Political satire and 30 Rock does a great job in Political Satire

This past season had been mostly poor but caught several of Season 2 recently and reminded of just how fantastic this series can be
