Liz struggles to keep Jack out of the writers' room, and Kenneth learns that working for Tracy may be more than he expected.

Probably in my opinoin one of thw weakerr episodes of the season but that does not mean that it was bad, it still made me laugh just not as much. Jack was good here I liked the way everyone acted around him in the writers room, The Writers always make me laugh, Frank is really great and Toofer is really funny too. Pete was very funny in this episode probably the funniest in this episode Kenneth a close second. 9 out of 10.

Ok so this episode was not as good than the last couple but it was still really funny loved the part where Jack was coming up with ideas for the show and the bit were that guy (Don'tknow his name yet) flipped out because Liz was going to tell the girl (forgot her name too) to wair better cloths it was really funny when kicked the chair ans fell over, it was the best part of the episode, I can see why everyone is calling 30 Rock the new Arrested Development (which I loved by the way). Great show and a good episode.
  • Jack becoming likeable?

It was good to see in this episode a bit less of the cartoonish characterization of Jack as a management buffoon. He was wise enough to recognize that he was killing the creativity in the writers' room. He didn't belong there just as he doesn't belong in front of the camera. On the other hand, he rightly schools Liz on the intricacies of corporate politics in getting her to offer her apology by way of sending an intermediary with this advice. Liz gets further educated when she commits the faux pas of showing excessive familiarity to Jack in front of two upper-echelon GE execs, prompting her hilarious obligatory dressing-down by Jack. Even though Jack mouths to her "I'm sorry", we're still not sure that she gets it that he's just saving face, and perhaps making it possible for the show to continue. The scenes of Angie and her provocative wardrobe choices are funny, as are the drooling of the writers and Liz' lame attempt to rein her in. After all she is just trying to "marry rich". As Tracy entangles Kenneth deeper and deeper in the web of his unconventional lifestyle, it's unclear whether or not Tracy really believes his pronouncements are that profound; or is he just putting him on. Anyway, it's fun to watch Kenneth hitching himself to Tracy's star.

    30 rock

This episode went along with Jack in the writers room.

TRacy getting Kennith to do hid outisde job.

This episode was funny in some spots rather than others.

We see Tracys mom or something at the end. Asking the question wheres Kennith. The episode of 30 rock was a good episode .
  • Just when you think TV quality standards couldn't get any lower along comes 30 Rock, the only show in history to jump the shark and have watchers begging for Ted McGinley to join the cast in hopes of it being cancelled before the first commercial.

    Open letter to NBC Execs.

Over the years you have given us many high quality programs; Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld, Friends, The Cosby Show and the first 4 seasons of ER. We applaud you for these fantastic shows, but what are you thinking and trying to do with 30 Rock? It almost seems like a network suicide attempt. You bill it as a comedy yet there has not been a single joke or funny skit in the entire series run. You are moving it to thursday to try and save it but as was so elegantly stated before, "You can't polish a turd." This show is DOA and is rotting and festering no matter where you place it. Cancel it please and at least replace it with more Deal or No Deal or maybe even 1 vs 100. 30 Rock is an absolute waste of time and resources please save yourselves and cancel it and issue an apology to the nation for anyone who watched it and those poor souls who wrote this god awful "comedy".
  • Tina to the rescue

Don't expect much from this episode of "30 rock." But despite that I did get plenty of Tina Fey, the one person in the show that I like and she kept giving every 110% in each and every epiosde. In today's show Liz (tina Frey) tries top keep Jack (Alac Baldwin) out of the writer's room. Nothing much, but I'd rather watch Tina Fey that watch the entire episode of "30 Rock." One scene where Tina enter the writer's room wearing that sexy outfit, my jaw dropped. Tina's drop dead grogeous. I don't care about the series, I care about Tina Frey. I hope she wear that sexy outfit again soon.

No improvment whatsover - it just gets worse and worse. When I see a show like this one, I can't help but wonder how so many good and talented people can come up with something so silly. It looks and feels like a third grader created this. If this is something all the committees at NBC approved, I'd rather not even think of the things they rejected. Tracy Morgan is hardly noticeable, Alec Baldwin tries his best but has nothing to work with. Tina Fey just can't be the main character - she's really not up to it. And where is Rachel Dratch? maybe she's the smart one and she just escaped on time. I say take it off the air before everyone on it get their careers hurt forever. And don't forget to sign a DNR.
  • After last week's classic, this one clunked audibly.

The laughs were few and far in-between for me in this episode, after the previous 3 steadily upped my expectations. I guess this was the episode of distractions - from Cerie, Jack and Tracy. I'm probably like the rest of the writers who want Cerie around for eye candy but I think it went on a little too long. Maybe that was the intention. The punchline with Tina in the 'hot dress' was already shown in a promo so the effect was unfortunately ruined.

Even the Jack stuff didn't work that well mainly because his 'ideas' really weren't funny - I don't need to watch this show to see those bad jokes. Jack was much better last week with his megalomania. And the ending was too low-key also.

By default, the best parts were Tracy giving crazy advice/orders to Kenneth. Though, thats two weeks they've concentrated on Kenneth - don't know if that's wise.

And where the heck are Jane and Rachel? This episode fell short of its mark IMO.
  • This was a great episode. So far each episode has been more funny than the last, and this, the fourth episode, continues that trend.

Alec Baldwin is hilarious as usual in this episode, and kenneth and tracy jordan have a few scenes together which are absolutly briliant.

The episode starts out with the male writers entranced by the secretary\\\'s revealing outfits and this bit continues through the whole episode.

Jack meanwhile decides that in order to understand the business he needs to get involved in the writers room and though he thinks he is contributing a lot, he is actually killing all the creativity in the room.

Liz is trying to get the secretary to wear some clothes while at the same time trying to get Jack out of the room without getting fired.

In the end Jack has to put Liz in her place so that he doesn\\\'t lose face infront of two GE execs and it\\\'s one of the greatest rants that I have ever heard.

Oh... and during all this kenneth is being sent on increasingly dangerous/illegal missions by tracy.

Great episode, this really fleshed out the chemistry between Jack and Liz and I\\\'m glad that kenneth is not just being pushed to the side, but is a focus of the show.
