  • A top notch effort on the part of the 30 Rock team. Start to finish this episode is one of the best ever.

This season of 30 Rock, while overall great, has been a bit slower than the previous seasons. This episode did an excellent job in forgetting some of the less-than-stellar episodes. Liz and Jack's story was original, clever, and played out very well. Jenna and Frank's side story added some very good laughs. As always Dr. Spaceman was a scene stealer. The character is easily one of the better reoccurring characters in a comedy ever. Top to bottom the episode is a "must see" for a 30 Rock fan. Anyone who hasn't seen the series previously would have been treated to a fine example of what this series has to offer.moreless
  • Liz and Jack go to a Retreat for GE employees, meanwhile Kenneth tries to get Tracy to stop eating unhealthy food because of his Diabieties, also Frank sleeps with Jenna.

To say that this episode was funny is not enough but to say this episode is perfect is way to far. The main story is that Jack goes to a retreat for GE big shots and forces Liz to come with. The main story is funny and makes fun of Executives. The main problem is that Liz embaraces Jack by insulting and acting innapropriate. at the end Jack accidentaly embaraces himself and Liz has to save him and at the end Jack realizes Liz is a better friend than any of his Corprate Buddies. Meanwhile Tracy discovers from Dr. Spaceman that he has diabeties and he might die. Being an idiot he doesnt think that this can kill him so it is up to Kenneth to save him but eventually Kenneth goes desprate and tries to scare Tracy and it doesnt work. Meanwhile again Frank tries to sabotage Jenna's acting style by editing Wikipedia and makes Jenna jay walk and almost eat cats but at they end up sleeping together and Jenna tells everyone and Frank's exes try to sabotage her hair and make her look like a monster and scare Kenneth and Tracy into eating vegetables. over all tha B-plots are very funny and this episode is funny.moreless
  • Jack brings Liz to a company retreat.

And Dr. Leo Spaceman is back again! Played by the brilliant Chris Parnell, he constantly steals the show, this week doing so along with fellow SNL veteran Tracy Morgan. The scene with them in the doctor's office was absolutely hilarious, although you have to question how similar some of his material is to that of Dr. Hartman on Family Guy.

The Liz and Jack dialogue was great here too, but sometimes Tina Fey's humor is a little bit too childish, as evidenced here with the "robot penis among other things.

People have been clammering for Kenneth to get more screen time, but he really irritated me in this episode. The whole thing just seemed out of character as he would never behave like that, dressing up as a witch and all.

But overall this was another great episode, and they did so without any stuntcasting.moreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Jack: Each of them embodies a pillar of the Six Sigma business philosophy: teamwork, insight, brutality, male enhancement, handshakefullness, and play hard.

    • Jack: Lemon, why don't you join Team Donaghy? We'll win this thing, and then we'll go to CLASS.
Liz: I don't want to go to a class.
Jack: No, Lemon, CLASS— an acronym for Consuming Lunch and Simple Socializing.
Liz: Now, that just seems intentionally confusing.

    • Kenneth: What can I do for you, Miss... Jimplin?
Jenna: Well, according to my Wikipedia page, I'm gonna need some cherry juice, buttermilk, and tequila to make my signature Janis Joplin cocktail—the Frankschlong.

    • Tracy: Diabetes and diet—next you'll be telling me that leasing a sports car is a bad investment!

    • Tracy: So, how am I looking, Dr. Spaceman?
Dr. Spaceman: Tracy, I—I don't know how to say this: dee-ay-buh-tees?
      Tracy: Diabetes?
      Dr. Spaceman: That's it!

    • Liz: Sorry! I dropped it when I was pretending it was my penis!
