  • Another great edisode

    9.5
Great episode, I love how they always seem to have great guests to make cameo's ect. Edie Falco is a great example of this!
  • Liz has to deal with the fragile egos of two of her stars while using tape to repair her bra, meanwhile Jack comes clean about his relationship with C.C which encourges several of his peers to come out with their own confessions!moreless

While i've always enjoyed this show and admired it's clever dialogue 'Secrets and Lies' had me laughing out loud on several occasions, especially during the final scene.

When Jack confesses at his executive lunch his relationship with Democratic Congressperson C.C this triggers a whole bunch of similar confessions from his peers.

    'My children attend public schools'

    'I'm gay'

'I'm black' (this from an African American man!!)

and finally, and this closes the episode.......

    'I murdered my wife'

C.C also confesses to voting for Ronald Reagan in 1984.

My fave quote and the one that had me laughing uncontrollably.......'she'll tax us to death and make it legal for a man to marry his own dog.' Delivered completely dead pan by Alec Baldwin.

In short,a wonderful episode that may convince the Seven Network here in Australia to screen '30 Rock' earlier than 11.30 p.m!!moreless
  • Felt like i already wrote this.

    30 Rock,

    Secret and Lies,

So this is my second time writing this. Strangley it didnt come out o well. So in this episode CC wonts to come out with the relationship between her and Jack. Jack doesnt wont to do it because he is afraid that it might damage his work. In the end he does it infront of his peirs. With funny results...OTHER...Jenna gets mad with Liz for all the attention that Liz gives more attention to Tracy. So she decideds to act like Tracy. Which in the end Liz confronts her and problem solved...OTHER...Another part in the show is a fight between to coworkers which wasnt funny.moreless
  • Jack and CC are fightin whether or not to go public. The writers are on a "feud" and liz is trying to get jenna and tracy to work and stay happy.moreless

    9.2
This show is becoming my new "Scrubs" out of nowhere jokes that crack me up while having me say "WHAAA"

bros before hoes policy, jack can't let the world know about CC and him, but he eventually does the right thing.

Liz needs to get herself together, too much stuff bad stuff goin on for her. a bra held with tape? really. hilariously sad. she does too much for those people, we haven't seen her happy for more than half an episode ever. it's just sad, she like the coyote that u want to catch the road runner and be happy for once. Favorite Quote

Liz: "we have to make up an emmy, Okay, find that basketball trophy from props and add wings to it."moreless
  • How to wrangle Divas & carry on a forbidden romance!

    10
This was such a funny episode (as always).

The storyline involving Jenna & Tracy being needy diva-actors was hilarious. Jenna's random gay entourage, and Tracy's fake award acceptance speech was enough to make a good episode right there. Liz' demeanor during the fake award show was priceless.

Jack's forbidden love affair came to a climax as he "came out" to his colleagues. I think that scene was so brilliant. It satirized society and showed us no matter where we are "affiliated", no two people are alike and no two people have the same thoughts about the world. So everyone got acceptance for breaking down their particular stereotypes!

Liz taping her bra, also classic. And I really admire the closing scene where all the writers were picking on Josh. Beyond that, you could sense genuine joy and camraderie in that room, as must be true of most TV writer's rooms. Overall, an excellent episode---cajun style!moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (13)

    • Tracy: Don't want to disappoint my Japanese public, especially Godzilla. I'm just kidding. I know he doesn't care what humans do.

    • Tracy: I spent two days making that movie from my home, and what did I get? A million dollars, a yellow Bentley, and nothing.

    • C.C.: I should never have listened to a woman who tapes her bra together.
      Jack: Lemon!

    • Tracy: Okay, enough! How long are we going to talk about this stupid award? We have more important things to worry about. Like where are the French fries I did not ask for? You guys need to anticipate me!

    • Jack: Liz Lemon, I'd like you to meet a business associate of mine, uh, Laquisha Gutierrez Arafat.

    • CC: Jack, I convinced the Sheinhardt Wig plaintiffs to settle.
Jack: That's fantastic news. What did they end up getting?
      CC: Five million each.
Jack: Five million each? That's NBA sexual assault money.

    • Jenna: How could Tracy not thank me?
      Liz: What?
Jenna: I drag myself out of bed at 4:00 in the morning, go home, get dressed, come in here, and he doesn't even mention my name?

    • Liz: (discovering Jack's party is four people) Is this everyone?
C.C.: Well, we had a longer invite list, but we thought for the sake of discretion...
Jack: We had to eliminate anybody with any influence or connections or stature, so that pretty much just left you.

    • Jack: I'm going to hold a dinner party, and I would like you to come.
Liz: Wow, that's very nice. Thank you, Jack.
Jack: I just want you to be discrete, and try not to dress like a small-town lesbian.

    • Patrice: Ooh, Melissa! Your face is on the phone, soccer practice is over, and you need to pick it up!
Liz: Alright, that's a pretty good burn, Patrice.

    • Jack: I like when a woman has ambition. It's like seeing a dog wearing clothes.

    • Jack: This corporation has a very strict "bros before hos" policy.

    • Jack: (about C.C.) We are lovers.
Liz: Oh... that word bums me out unless it's between the words "meat" and "pizza".
