Jack says he is waiting for the results of a biopsy to determine the status of the lump he found on his testicle. This is medically inaccurate. What is usually called a "testicular biopsy" (which is usually done only to test virility) is not done to diagnose testicular cancer due to the risk of spreading the disease. Doctors will perform an ultrasound on the testicle to examine the lump, and if cancer is suspected, they perform a surgical procedure called an orchiectomy. While this is an outpatient procedure, it requires rest afterward, and it is doubtful Jack would be at work and attending picnics as if nothing happened.
