Jack makes major changes to the show, renaming it TGS with Tracy Jordan and thus taking the spotlight away from Jenna Maroney. An indignant Liz struggles to keep everyone happy, but it is Tracy who saves the day by hosting a party for the entire cast and crew on a private yacht. I loved the way they was on Facebook. I find Tracy really funny. I'm glad that Pete is not fired, I liked him in the first episode. I love the storyline, it's good so far it will get better, hopefully because then I will be addicted to it. I love the new boss, Jack, I love the way he is taking over everything. I love the fact that the microphone and the screen was on when Liz is talking about everyone - so funny. Great episode looking forward to the next one.
  • Another great episode.

Now that major changes have occurred on The Girlie Show, Liz struggles to bring everyone and everything together. However, despite his erratic behavior, Tracy manages to bring everything to order.

Loved the scene on the boat and when Tracy jumps off it was a bit like the pilot episode of Arrested Development as in that they where all on a boat and the police came. It was really funny when Liz kept making things worse and when the writers through stuff at her. The second episode was very quick and funny which would show how much potential the show has. 9 out of 10.

This episode has changed my mind about the series and I enjoyed watching it and was laughing much more at it than last weeks episode its still not as good as my name is earl, I will tune in next week to see if 30 rock stays as good as this i only really gave it a second chance because it won a some emmys and I'm glad I did.
  • An average episode.

30 Rock, After Tracy Jordan joined the show changes started to occur. The name of the show changed. Because of this other people on the set get very angrey. One would be Jenna who starts to freak out. In the end Tracy invites everybody onto his "boat". Liz finds out it is not his and in the end the police arrive.
  • While still not exactly funny, this show was improved from the pilot and I found it quite enjoyable. And there were lots of amusing moments.

    7.7
    "Good"
There's something charming about "30 Rock", despite the fact that it's wildly uneven. It is, in fact, the most uneven NBC comedy currently on the air (those comedies include My Name is Earl, The Office, Scrubs, and 30 Rock). However, it manages to improve with each episode and has a mostly likable cast which evens out the frequent non-funny moments.

In this episode, the staff of The Girlie Show must deal with Tracy. None of them like him, especially Jenna, who feels like Tracy is replacing her on the show. Liz messes things up for herself when she insults Tracy over the intercom system (by accident, of course) and then insults everyone else when she's trying to apologize to Tracy (they're in front of the monitors). Kenneth, the probably gay Southern kid, was a little funny in this episode but he remains quite pointless and I don't see why he's in the opening credits...his role is so small and insignificant he should be listed as recurring.

The events at the end of the episode, on the boat, were great and definitely the highlight of the episode. Jack was also pretty funny in this episode, whereas I didn't think he was too great in the pilot.

    Definitely an improvement.
  • Tina is the leader.

The second episode of "30 Rock" has a mild improvement over the llast week and I got tina Fey to thank. Her leadership has strongly improve the series over the last week, and I'm keeping strong with the series if Tina is strong. I like the supporting cast of Tracy jordon and Alac Baldwoin. but it was Tina Fey who I like the most. I'm in love with Tina Fey, despite the fact that she's married. (You heard it before you going to hear it again) I'm sticking to the series, despite my lukewarm views of the show. Whatever Tina goes, I will follow.
  • Better then the pilot

The show seems to be taking a right direction. There were a few really hilarious moments, but not enough of them. The plot is a bit shaky - but the charachters have a lot of potential - especially the group of writers - one is wierder the the next in the good sense of the word.

Tracy Morgan is funny but sometimes he tries too much.

Alec Baldwin is great - exactly what the show needs. Tina Fey could do a lot better is she kept to the head writer position, not the main character. She's great on short sketches like she did on SNL, but she's really not a good enough actress to keep the whole show on her shoulders. It will be interesting to see the next few episodes.
  • Has Potential

Lot's of funny scenes in this one. Tina leaving her mic on when trashing Alec Baldwin and Tracy was great and then walking into the feed and trashing the entire staff on camera was priceless. Alec Baldwin's 'test group' was great "If you like the name of the show, I'll give you some pizza". Tracy stealing the yacht and then proclaiming that he's taken it to Japan and Denver was pretty funny too. Alex Baldwin's character is turning out to be a clone of Jimmy James from Newsradio whereas he enters a scene, ruins the day for boss and then slivers away into the night with a smile on his face. Loved Jimmy James and Newsradio and beginning to love this show. Well done.

  • Great show with potential but needs more work!

Liz after insulting the cast and crew trying to Make the show work. Must bring everybody aside together and make this show work. Rachel Dratch's character as we learn is a Spanish maid while Tracy Morgan's character is very violatile as well as really drives everybody nuts with his big ego. But it is again a very good and funny show that deserves a chance.
  • Liz Lemon tries to comfort her employees after unwittingly insulting them. She enlists the help of Tracy who decides to throw a party on a yacht.

This was an alright episode with some good laughs. I loved the final twist about the yacht being someone elses, didn't see it coming.

    Tracy Jordan:

He just keeps saying crazier and crazier things. Sometimes it got annoying and it seemed improvised. Other times it was good ie "You need to study your grandmother".

    Jack:

Alec Baldwin is great and has perfect delivery when he has good lines and he had some good lines this episode ie "We'll braid each others hair untill we're on the same period cycle".

    Liz Lemon:

Her frustration is endearing and it was really funny when they threw the shoe at her. I just can't help it but I enjoy watching Tina Fey too much.

    Writers:

Some funny characters here. Especially the big glasses guy and the snobby black guy.

    Jenna:

I like her dynamic with Tracy Morgan otherwise she's just alright.

    Overall:

It was an average episode but the twist on the yacht improved it immensely.
  • After a shakey pilot, "30 Rock" takes a step in the right direction.

"30 Rock" was my most anticipated show this 2006 season. Though I liked the pilot episode, I was very disappointed with it. Such great writing, such a great cast, but nothing worth watching. I laughed, but I was bored. I think I figuerd out my problem with the show: YouTube. A five minute promo was shown on YouTube for about a month, and I watched it nearly a dozen times in a row. I burst into laughter each time I watched the promo. It was priceless.

Those five minutes happened to be the strongest moments of the pilot. It had plenty of additional funny moments, but nothing was new and exciting and fun to watch about it. I had been tired out of the pilot.

Here we have "The Aftermath" is completely new stuff to a lot of "30 Rock" viewers. It is just has funny and entertaining as the pilot, but it was fresh, so it worked. I laughed out loud more times than I could count. The episode was priceless.

I watch television for characters. This show has some of the best characters. Alec Baldwin is in top form. Jane Krakowski is given much more material to work with, and because of that she is the highlight of the episode; Jane is a much stronger comic actress than I thought she would be. Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan seem more at home after awkward, sketch-comedy-like performances in the pilot. They seem more natural.

I now understand why 30 Rock is getting the praise it has been getting: because it actually deserves it! Too many comedies get praise they don't deserves, especially this years comedies. I tried "30 Rock" follower "20 Good Years", CBS's "The Class", and ABC's "Ugly Betty": none of them were much of anything, all very very forgetable.

Trust me --- you are NOT going to forget "30 Rock".

My only gripe: we need more Rachel Dratch!!!!! She's a phenomenal actress and needs more screen time!!!
