    • TRIVIA (1)

      ADD TRIVIA
      • When denying Tommy entrance to the night club, Don refers to Sally as Tommy's sister, but she is supposed to be Dick's sister, which makes her Tommy's aunt.

    • QUOTES (2)

      ADD QUOTES
      • Mary: What's popular is not always right and what's right is not always popular.
Dick: Well I'm both popular and right, and everyone hates you!

      • Dick: Every day someone tells me I'm wrong. But when I am actually wrong no one is around to call me an idiot. Where are my critics?
Sally: Well Tommy's at school, Harry's with Vicky, but for what it's worth, I think you're an idiot.

    • NOTES (1)

      ADD NOTES
      • According to the commentary on the DVD, John Lithgow hurt his ankle playing tennis. This episode was written to allow him to be in a wheelchair for the entire show, since he couldn't walk. Watch for the brief bit before he first wants to "play" in the wheelchair -- he is sitting in the living room and does not stand up.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • A Date Which Will Live in Infamy Dick gives a speech while in a wheel chair that is a parody of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's address to congress after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
