John Lithgow reportedly said in an interview that if NBC set out to ruin the show they certainly did a good job. This was in response to NBC's constant change of timeslots for the show, before ultimately cancelling it after six seasons. However, the one thing he can't complain about is the fact that the network did give them a very nice sendoff.
