February 25, 2007 Dissension In the Ranks; Nazi Deception; Bill O'Reilly
More than 1,000 active and reserve duty military members show no qualms about speaking their minds with regard to the current situation. Lara Logan reports about their publically petitioning Congress.
Also, little known propaganda in the form of an incredible Nazi Deception, involving the creation of a Czechoslovakian town where Jews were reportedly treated very well. Bob Simon reports on the survivors, some of them returning to the town and how the children's opera "Brundibar" daringly mocked the Nazi's. Finally, Mike Wallace with Bill O'Reilly. This is a whole new spin on the clash of the titans.moreless
pure tabloid journalism. CBS and 60 minutes could try using facts, or they could try not always being against the United States. It sad that people believe this stuff, don't always believe the news just because it's on TV doesn't mean it's always right.moreless
All it was is an attack using symantics like I don't drive a BMW or whatever car it was, and then they add his wife owns one, doesn't mean he doesn't drive it. This attempt to make Bill O'reilly look bad just shows how liberal, and that isn't just politics, just their way of thinkingCBS and 60 minutes is, they attack him, because he doesn't have an agenda, the show proved that, he said negative comments about Republicans and the president, he reports the news. They could have just aked him his thoughts but they didn't have anything intelligent to say so they attacked him. I would like to get a bunch of people to write the sponsors to let them know that they are supporting such flimsy journalism. Why are the journalists always reporting nagative things about the troops, I have met a couple of troops that in fact said the media is distorting the situation in Iraq, they never show the good that is being done. This is why Bernard Goldberg a former employee of CBS wrote the book Bias: How the Media Distorts the News. He worked at CBS for 27 years, he had no agenda he just was sick of the the bias, and of course CBS phased him out after he wrote the book, but many colleagues agreed that media bias is a problem. It won't let me go lower than 1.1 which so since I can't vote how I want to, I put as low as I could on here.moreless
