I've been watching 60 minutes since it started, and it's still relevant. It's about the good and the bad in this country from the viewpoint of the everyday people. Today's episode is just an example. The opening story concerned the closing of Maytag in Newton Iowa, and effect on the town. Interviews from local citizens pointed out that it was about jobs, not republican or democrat. As mergers take place, and millions of jobs are sent overseas, one longtime town after another almost shuts down. The next story tells it like it is about the "economic recovery". I love their "cut through the garbage" questions that get people thinking. Now if only Washington would take the show seriously.
