It's the 10 year anniversary of the death of Olivia and Gavin's daughter and Jane learns that there is more to the story of her death than is known to Gavin. Also, Jane repeatedly sees glimpses of a what may be an apparition as she becomes increasinglysuspiciousof the events thatoccurredin the secret room that wasbehindthe wall. Meanwhile, Gavin grooms Henry for a career change, and a young journalist residing at the Drake realizes that anything she writes becomes the truth, which although sheinitiallyfinds some good in this, one of her fabrications of the truth literally comes back to haunt her.

Jane makes a terrifying discovery behind the walls of the Drake as she renovates Mr. Barlow's apartment, meanwhile Henry decides whether to give Gavin inside information he has on one of his projects. And lonelytenantDanielle has a romantic tryst which takes a deadly turn.

In the pilot episode of the series couple Henry (Dave Annable) and Jane (Rachael Taylor) move into a Manhattan apartment complex owned by Gavin (Terry O'Quinn) and Olivia Dunn (Vanessa Williams), as the new co-managers. Soon after moving in it becomes clear that not all is as it seems, as the building along with its tenants are possessed by a mysterious demonic force.
