The Russians recruit a woman in a psychiatric clinic, Galina, who is a dead-ringer for Olga, and train her to pass as Olga. She is sent to recover the formula for time travel from Backstep but is taken with Frank when she discovers he was in a mental institute too. At Never Never Land Frank has managed to find a secret hidey-hole made out of a bomb shelter that Olga finds out about – a little later she is grabbed and Galina takes her place. The Sphere materializes at NNL, when Frank arrives he isn't sure when Olga was replaced and tests her by kissing her – when she enjoys it he knows she's Galina. He forces Galina to take him to Olga, where he takes out the Russians himself. Galina is locked up in a government facility.
Doesn't the Backstep damage Frank rather than heal him? They did the same in "Crystal Blue Persuasion" where he got burned to death in the Sphere with an overloaded reactor and is sent back and somehow recovers. I think it's great when TV shows do that. It throws people off, for a brief moment reality is forgotten, and you can imagine a magical world. Everyone goes, What Was That! Otherwise the story line is average, not much of a plot.moreless
