Sandy and Martin decide to name their son, Aaron, after Martin's grandfather on his father's side. It's also the name of the executive producer of the this show Aaron Spelling.
It's highly doubtful that a reputable hospital would allow a pregnant woman that close to delivery to leave unescorted. She would either be sent home with a chaperone, or perhaps allowed to walk a short distance about the halls or grounds until her time came.
Eric: (to Martin) If you change your mind, call me.
How can Martin call Eric when Eric is about to go on a two hour drive to the hospital and neither he nor Annie carry cell phones, nor are any family members with a cell phone traveling with Eric and Annie?
Simon & Rose decide to get married this May instead of waiting until next May.
Edward announces he is 9 weeks sober and counting.
Martin: I can't believe I have a son.
Sandy: Well, you do. And he's gonna need a name.
Martin: Any name you want is fine.
Sandy: You want to name him after your father?
Martin: Mmm...what about after your father?
Sandy: Well, I just really met my father, and I'm happy that he's decided to change his life, but...like us, I think we should wait and see what happens. What about your grandfather?
Martin: Uh...my mother's father's name was Milton. I'd hate to stick him with that.
Sandy: What about your other grandfather?
Martin: Uh...Aaron. My father's father's name was Aaron, after his father's best friend.
Sandy: Maybe someday we can be best friends.
Martin: Maybe we can. (long pause) How do we do that? How do we become friends after I've been such an irresponsible jerk?
Sandy: I can forgive you, if you can forgive me. I know it's a lot to ask, but it's everything. Forgiveness.
Martin: I think I can do that. I mean, if you can, I'm willing to try, anyway. Maybe we can kind of start over. Not that I know how to do that.
Sandy: Well, you can come and see the baby whenever you want. You and your dad, or anyone else you want.
Martin: Thanks. I'm gonna want to come see him. I'm gonna want to be part of his life.
Sandy: Well, I think we just have to start out slowly. You know, just one step at a time. Like you call me, and I'll call you. You can ask me how the baby is, and I'll tell you he's fine, because he's gonna be fine. He's gonna be just fine, and no matter what happens between us, we'll be fine too, because you're a good guy, Martin. You really are.
Martin: So, um...how was your day?
Sandy: Blessed. It was a very blessed day.
Simon: I can't wait to see you with our son or daughter.
Rose: I can't wait to give you a son or a daughter, although I'm still in favor of being knocked out.
Rose: I'm not having a baby until after I'm married.
Simon: Then let's not wait. Let's get married.
Rose: Let's get married when?
Simon: This May.
Rose: YES! (hugs him, turns to the family) We're getting married! This May, we're getting married!
Simon: It was my idea. I'm ready. We're both ready.
Rose: Just tell me now if you have a problem with pink.
Simon: I don't have a problem with pink! I have a problem with wearing pink at MY wedding!
Nurse: Any luck?
Sandy: No. I have no luck. That's how I got here.
Sandy: Maybe one day we'll be best friends.
Martin: Yeah....maybe. How do we do that? How do we be friends after I've been such an irresponsible jerk?
Sandy: I can forgive you. If you can forgive me. I know it's a lot to ask, but it's everything. Forgiveness.
Sandy:Excuse me. I'm having a baby
Nurse: (ooks Sandy up and down) Yes, you certainly are.
Sandy: No! I'm having a baby right now!
Nurse: And we know this because?
Sandy: (with a slight attitude) Because my water broke and the contractions are getting closer together.
Nurse: Ok......I guess you know what you're talking about.
Martin : Him? It's a boy?
Sandy : Yeah, he's a boy.
Kevin: (to Savannah) You know, sometimes Mommy hurts my feelings...
