Eric wants to hire an ex-convict to be the new organist as the church vestry's the opposition. Acting church treasurer, Annie must determine whether there is enough money in the church's budget to hire a new organist. Meanwhile, Lucy becomes jealous after she makes Mary tutor her boyfriend Jimmy Moon. Simon does his best at trying to get Matt into letting him get a tetanus shot at the doctor's office. Eric wants to hire an ex-convict, but Lou and the church don't think it's a good idea. Lucy convinces Mary to tutor Jimmy in science and when it finally happens, Lucy gets jealous. Simon has to get a shot, but is very afraid. Matt is taking him to the doctor, but he is afraid of shots too. Annie takes over as the temporary treasurer for a while at the church. Matt ends up having to get a shot also. Ruthie gets a phone list from her school. She calls 911 even though it's not an emergency.

This was a great episode! I'm glad Eric gave that guy a second chance. Matt and Simon were funny at the doctors! This episode gets a 9.5 out of 10!moreless

- Near the end of the episode, Matt and Simon receive their shots so quickly and painlessly, they are stunned when the doctor tells them it's over. From there, they just take their lollipops and walk out. If Matt and Simon really did get shots, then they would have Band-Aids placed on their arms to cover the minor bleeding, and it's very obvious that the doctor didn't do that.
