This was a great episode! Mary struggles with financial problems, Simon becomes popular, Lucy builds character, Ruthie switches schools, Matt realizes that asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, and Eric's father comes to straighten Mary out.
I really liked Mary, but now her whole life is a wreck! I really wish that she had more wisdom. I couldn't believe that she didn't accept the help from the Colonel. She got fired and couldn't pay her bills. Great storyline, but sad also.
I really admire Lucy for putting her social status at risk to help her brother. That shows real care!
Matt's situation was also good. He was too afraid to ask his professor for help in Organic Chemistry, so he blamed other people for his mishaps. He learns that asking for help isn't so bad after all.
Ruthie's brightness leads her to go to a great new school! She took a risk and it turned out for the better!
This was a wonderful episode and a great character builder!
I give it a 10!
