  • Great!

Annie and Eric think that Morgan and Patricia are having marital problems. Roxanne's father shoots and kills the man who was suspected of killing Roxanne's mom after he finds him robbing a conveniance store. Lucy wants to quit school. Simon and Cecilia become to close to each other. Mary calls and wants to get back together with Ben. Ruthie and Kevin convince him not to.

This a great episode! I was happy seeing Morgan and Patricia again after a long absence. Sadly, this is the last appearance of any Hamilton. I felt bad for Roxanne and her father. That must have been weird shooting the man who killed your wife. This episode gets a 10!moreless

In this episode every character was having their own little anxiety towards someone else with confusion and tension in the close-wing. There were some storylines I liked in this episode and some others that should've been explored more and executed better. Let me break it down for ya...

Eric, Annie the and Hamilton's: First off, let me say out of all the guest stars that have been on "7th Heaven" the Hamilton clan are my favorite guest stars of all. It's was so good to see Patricia and Morgan again from the last time we saw them back early in the 5th season. The problem was, was that I wished their interaction with Eric and Annie had been more problematic and ground-breaking as a whole. I guess the writers were trying to point out for Eric and Annie to see how ridiculous and stupid they've handled their situations lately of Eric quitting the church and trying to do another career while the Annie wasn't really supportive. To see how much better Patricia and Morgan handled it better in the same situation of Morgan wanting to quit and join a Jazz band, I guess it was a light bulb for Eric and Annie as they really weren't on the verge of a seperation. Still, the way how the plot was executed made Eric and Annie totally stupid (locking them in Kevin's garage apartment?) and not sane at all. They were not themselves. It could've been done a little better.

Kevin and Lucy: Usually it's never good for a person to threaten another in a relationship, but Kevin doing it to Lucy this time was an exception. I guess Lucy never heard the motto "no pain, no gain." Just because she's very busy with the wedding, school and other things to do it doesn't mean she should quit school or give things up just because it's hard now. Kevin realized that and thoughtfully as her fiance didn't want her to get off track with her future career of being a minister just because the wedding plans were taking up a lot of her time. Saying he couldn't marry her because she was quitting school was quite understandable. Plus, he knows sooner or later she'll resent him for that and knows she needs to get her priorities straight. The wedding is important, but it's not her entire life and Lucy needs to realize that. Although she's been waiting quite a long time to get married, her life can't revolve on her marriage and wedding. It's not healthy and Kevin showed her that.

Simon and Cecelia: I grow more fond of these two and their story arc of sex each week. Even though I know many "7th Heaven" fans are not liking this relationship, I am. The fact that these two only weeks ago agreed to slow things down with each other when it came to them having sex and eventually finding themselves in the same position is quite realistic, especially in teenagers. Cecelia who was wonderful in saying that she doesn't want to have sex with Simon but knows they if they keep getting closer like before she may not be able to stop her emotions even if she wants to. Simon taking a stand in saying thet that'll be their challenege in not going that far was quite wonderful. I like them more and more each week.

Chandler, Roxanne and Mr. Richardson: I'm glad the writers are really focusing on Chandler, Roxanne and their lives together as episodes go on. Roxanne's father was quite good in the episode on the resigning the police force and the handling on his explanation to Roxanne on it and her qutting the force momentarily. The only problem I had was I doubt he had to kill that robber in the store during the daytime. He could've just shot in the arm or something. Other than that somewhat "medium flaw" in the storyline I loved their interaction.

Ruthie and Ben: I have to say, first of all why is Ruthie hanging out so much with Ben? I find it odd. Wouldn't she like better off being with Yasmine or Peter or something doing kids stuff? Really. So what if Mary wants to get back together with him and Ruthie doesn't like that. That's his descision and Ruhtie taking it upon herself to keep finding him a girlfriend makes no sense. It bothers me more that she supports Ben more than her own sister. Why does she care so much? I know she likes him, but come on! Trying to ruin your sister's request of trying to get Ben back was harsh and not like Ruthie. She usually loves Mary, but I guess she loves Ben more.

Overall, this episode was okay. Some characters in this episode were quite off (i.e. Ruthie, Annie and Eric) but it was still entertaining for me to give it a good grade. I hope the Hamilton's return in the future, hopefully in the next 150th episode in April. This is the last review until the wedding and I can't wait. Lucy and viewers finally get their wish and we can move on with the Lucy and Kevin relationship/engagement saga. See ya in April...

    Grade **8 out of 10**

    Rants and Bits:

*I said it last week and I'll say it again. Those WB trailers are so misleading for the "7th Heaven" viewers. Kevin possibly breaking his engagement had nothing to do with Chandler and the WB need to stop lying to its audience.

*Even though I really liked Kevin in this episode why in Gods name does he not want nothing to do with the planning of the wedding?! Hiring somebody to help Lucy was really just the lazy way out, and I'm a guy myself.

*Ruthie and Ben need to know they are not going to be in-laws to each other. Ben's only in-law is Lucy once his brother marries her, not Ruthie or the rest of the family.

*The tension between Lucy and Roxanne seemed to have finally and thankfully died away. Even though they had no speaking lines to each other there were no insults or snip remarks at all. Thank God.

*I really like Simon and Cecelia, but the staring thing in the kitchen with the twins was quite creepy (especially the twins). Staring like that was too teenage puppy-love (even for me). But at least the twins are talking more in their scenes.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • In response to who Roxanne's father killed: He killed the guy suspected of killing her mother, not necessarily the guy that did it. They never actually determined who did it so there is no goof.

    • In this episode Roxanne father shots and kills the guy who killed Roxannes mother, but in an earlier episode (i.e. Lost Souls) Roxanne tells Kevin they never found out who shot her mother.

    • After Lucy quits school she goes to tell Kevin, and she knows that he's at the police station. She wouldn't know that he was at the station because after Roxanne called he left right away, and didn't tell Lucy because she was upstairs studying.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Annie to Eric (after his nightmare): "What is it this time?"

Eric to Annie: "I was marrying Lucy and Kevin in my underwear."

    • Kevin to Lucy: "So kiss now, study later."

    • Sam to Simon: "Why are we staring at Cecelia?"

Simon to twins: "Because she's beautiful."

    • Kevin to Lucy: "Difficult in someways better in other ways!"

Ben to Ruthie: "Am I nuts? I can't get back together with Mary. Mary's beautiful, but she'll crush my heart like a bug!"

Lucy to Kevin: "And that's why I know that I will be able to handle anything that life throws at me. We're going to be a family for better or worse" (Lucy says this to Kevin sort of a a response and to finish explainin why she decided to stay in school after Kevin tells her that he loves her.)

Lucy to Kevin: "I'm not going to quit school, I want to become a minister and I also want to be your wife and I think with a little planning and help I can graduate with honors in both programs."

Roxanne to Chandler: "I had no idea that I was in love with a bleeding heart liberal who thinks that criminals have more rights than honest, law-abiding citizens. Look, you don't know how I feel. And until your mother is gunned down in cold blood which I hope never happens, you will never know how I feel! So it looks like I've got a lot to think about. And I wanna think about it alone."
