Lucy said to Kevin that she may have gone out with Robbie a month but she really only went out on one date with him and before then made out with him a week before that.
Goof: In an earlier episode when Mary was trying to become a cop, she said you need 21 for the police academy, but Kevin said he graduted when he was 20.
Lucy said her mom built the garage apartment. Then Eric and Annie were talking about the garage apartment and said they paid somebody to build it.
When Ruthie tells Eric her boyfriend is coming over, he says she is only 12 and too young to have a boyfriend. Ruthie then said Lucy had a boyfriend when she was 13. Lucy was first shown to have a boyfriend when she was 12.
Lucy: When are we gonna meet "mister none of our business"? Mary: You're not gonna meet him. Lucy: Because? Mary: Because Mom and Dad wouldn't understand. Lucy: Because? Mary: Because, they don't think of me as an adult women with a career. Lucy: Just tell me why he is not a good idea? (Mary walks out)
Annie: Why don't you just call me Annie until you offically ask Lucy to marry you. Kevin: Because I like the sound mom and I am gonna ask Lucy to marry me as soon as I think she'll say yes.
Ruthie: Hey dad, do you mind if my boyfriend comes over tonight?
Lucy: Does Mary know the two of you are using her car? Simon: Yep. Lucy: Does she know your not driving it your just using it to make out? Simon: Nope. Cecilla: Do you know there's a really hot blonde chick up in Kevin's apartment? Lucy: She's NOT hot! Ceicilla and Simon: (at the same time) Yes she is.
Ruthie: Why don't you just marry him and get it over with? Lucy: Maybe, I don't wanna get married.
Lucy: (about Roxanne) Fine, I'll invite her inside where I can find out more about her and more about you. Kevin: What does that mean? Lucy: I've seen cop shows, I know how these partnerships work! Kevin: I love you... (then goes on to say after Luce answers him) I wish I felt you were ready to make a commentiment. Lucy: If you love me, your business is my business.
Simon: Is that guy downstair's Mary's friend or Mary's date? Ruthie: How'd I miss that? Simon: Could it be you've become so intrested in boys your slipping.
Kevin: What's a guy in his 40's going out withan girl in her 20's for other than the obvious? Mary: He's going out with me for the same reason any man goes out with any women, he likes me, he's interested in me.
(In the kitchen, Eric hits redial, the phone rings, Mary walks in, Eric hangs up) Eric: Well that was a long drive to the airport. Mary: Say what you want to say. Eric: He's too old for you, way too old for you. Mary: I am an adult, I have a job, I pay my bills, I'm responsible around here and I'm responsible when I'm not around here and I'm in Buffalo, so I think that who I go out with should be left up to me. You are my dad and I love you but I'm over 21 now and I think I have to decide who I wanna be with for the rest of my life. Eric: Rest of your life?
(Phone Rings) Eric: Hello? Ben: Did you just call me--I star 69ed you. Eric: (handing the phone to Mary) It's for you. Mary: Hello?
Kevin: How can you be jealous of any other woman when you know how i feel about you? Lucy: Jealous?! You think I'm jealous?! Hey! Just because you love me and want to marry doesn't mean you can't be attracted to another woman. Kevin: Alright. Lucy: Alright?! Kevin: (Smiles) Thanks. Lucy: Thanks?! What is wrong with you?!
Kevin: I wanted to talk to you about all those rules you mentioned earlier. I'm sorry for laughing you off. Lucy: More like kissed me off. Kevin: Either way, I apologized. I really want this relationship work.
