The Camdens become suspicious when Matt's new girlfriend, Tia, wants to spend more time with the family than being alone with Matt. Meanwhile, Lucy enlists the help of Matt to overcome her clumsiness in order to try out for the cheerleading squad. Also, Annie yearns for more romance in her marriage with Eric as she has become bored with the every day routines.   • This episode was okay, in general. I liked the Simon plot, Annie and Eric's roof ritual, and Lucy/Matt's storyline with the cheer leading. Tia was a good character, but I found her plot a little boring.moreless

    All in all, an enjoyable but a little bit of a boring episode. I picked not my favorite storyline because although I liked Tia, her storyline was a little boring. However, I did like the other storylines with Lucy's cheering and Simon's wanting to be invissible. I just founf myself slightly bored with Tia's thing, but I did like her as a person and as a girlfriend to Matt. So, all in all, a pretty good episode but not one I repetively watch because I got a little bored, altough I may watch scenes of the storylines I like. I would rate it average. But not my favorite.moreless

    Matt has a new girlfriend, Tia. She loves spending time with the Camdens. Her parents were recently divorced. Simon tries to be invisible. Lucy wants to be a cheerleader and Matt helps her. Mary thinks that cheerleading is stupid. Lucy thinks that she isn't pretty enough to be one, but Matt helps her once again. Tia seems to spend more time with Matt's family than Matt. She realizes that she needs to be around family so Eric talks to her parents, who ignore Tia.

    This was a great episode! I loved Ruthie's little trick on Simon. That was funny! I felt sorry for Tia because her parents were jerks! All they thought about was work and dates. This episode was great and I give it a 10!moreless

    In another excellent season 1 episode, Matt befriends a girl named Tia. They date, but eventually everybody except Matt begins to realize why she is spending so much time at the Camden house -- she is looking for a family more than a boyfriend, given that her parents are busy with work, ignore her, and don't want much to do with each other.

    In the end, Eric and Annie sit the family down and they try to work out a solution. The episode beautifully concludes with Eric and Annie "up on the roof," Eric playing and singing this classic song on the guitar. (One of my favorite scenes ever!)moreless

    • When Matt and Lucy are in the gym right after he finishes with the "Be self-confident" speech, Lucy trips over her shoelaces on hardwood floor. In the next shot, she fell down on the gym mats.

    • Annie finds Tia asleep in the car but the next morning when Annie is talking to Matt she says that Eric found her in the car.
