The Glenoak Community is making a big fuss over a petition that is protesting the apparently unfair firing of one of Ruthie's teachers, Mrs. Miller at her private school. Although, Matt knows the real reason of why she is leaving since she has been to his hospital after being diagnosed with advanced breast cancer, which leads to the embarrassment of many of the petitioners---including Simon and Lucy when they encounter her brother who's a teacher at their high school. Also, Annie's father Charles drops by at the Camdends for a visit. Annie is then surprised and shocked when her father passes on news to Eric--- to tell her that she has a sister, Lily.moreless
  • I don't regret watching it.

Annie learns that she has a half-sister. Ruthie's teacher, Mrs. Miller, loses her job, so Ruthie starts a petition, which ends up on the news. Annie, Matt, Lucy, and Simon all sign Ruthie's petition. Ruthie thinks that her principal, Mrs. Mackoul, is racist because Mrs. Miller is black.

I loved seeing Morgan and Grandpa again. Finding out that Annie had a sister was big news. It turns out that Mrs. Miller has cancer and didn't want to tell her students. She had to have surgery and word got out that she was fired. Ruthie and everyone else felt really bad. They decided to help Mrs. Miller. This was a really good episode and it gets a 9.5.moreless

    • Charles: (To Eric) Annie has a sister. (To Annie) I know this must change the way you look at me. Annie: Yes, maybe it does. Maybe it's the first time I've looked at you as a person and not just my father. And I love you more than ever for always trying to do the right thing. Because really that's the only way to live without... regret.

    • Ruthie: You wants us to tell you about the one that got sent off to Buffalo?

    • Annie: (Shocked) No! I'm his only daughter! I'm his only daughter!

    • Eric: I noticed your name is not on Ruthie's petition? Robbie: No, I don't put my name on anything like that. I'm not even registered to vote. Eric: That's criminal. Robbie: In America? Eric: In this house! Register to vote, today! Robbie: It's not voting season. Eric: Do you like living here? Robbie: Yeah, I love living here. I just don't want to register to vote. I feel like it puts me on some government's list. Eric: You are! You are on the governments list of registered voters.
