When Ruthie and Eric finish talking in the kitchen, Ruthie goes up the stairs while Eric is also next to the stairs. But the next shot, is the sound of the doorbell, with Eric completely on the the other side of the kitchen. How could this be in less than a second? Bad editing? Plus, Eric looked like he was standing and waiting for the doorbell to ring to come in cue.
