Mac: (entering their new apartment with Jane and Margaret) We're home! Jane: We're idiots. Why did we do this? Margaret: I don't know. Mac: Because we're adults. We're all grown up and we need our own space. I mean, it feels good to be independent, doesn't it? You can come and go anytime you want and do whatever you want. Jane: But, NOT what YOU want.
Margaret: (giving Ruthie advice about getting a tattoo) You don't want to do that. Once you have it, you have it for life! You might change your mind about whatever you CARVE into yourself, and-- EH! You're stuck! Don't do it!
Jane: (to Margaret who's trying to talk Ruthie out of getting a tattoo) What? It's no big deal. Margaret: Well, it is if your parents don't smoke pot!
Ruthie: So, you would have had sex with me but you can't even get a tattoo with my name on it? T-Bone: Is that so unreasonable?
David: (about the Colonel and Grandma Ruth) How come you don't want them knowing that you're having heart problems? Eric: Ah, I just, ah, you know, they're my mom and dad, and they're older. David: And, if you die, you want it to be a surprise? Eric: Yes, that's exactly right. Sam: It's pretty hard to surprise Grampa. David: But, that might do it.
Eric: (finding out that T-Bone isn't feeling well, along with Ruthie) Guess that's the downside of making-out so much: shared germs. T-Bone: Yes, INDEED. Learned MY lesson.
Grandma Ruth: (about Eric's heart condition) What do you think? The Colonel: I think I've been in enough combat situations to recognize the stench of death approaching--I don't smell a thing! Not a thing, Ruth.
