When I wrote the summary for this episode, I couldn't help but think of how non-political it was, especially after the somewhat controversial "Vote" episode. At the time, the casualty rate was pretty high and since then it has gotten even higher. The real surprise was Wayne Newton, who did NOT sing "Danke Schõn" -- which may have disappointed some, but it would have distracted away from the good work he does for the USO as well as the point he was trying to make; that a lot of families are homebound and they should not be stigmatized for a decision they did't make; nor the political decisions that have sent their loved ones overseas. This had to be my favourite episode from all of Season 9.
