  • Work was a great episode!

Mary is trying to handle Wilson, Billy, and her training program and it ends up overwhelming her. Wilson proposes to Mary. Robbie sets Lucy up on a date. When it works out, Robbie gets jealous and tries to kiss Lucy. Simon has a job at Pete's Pizza, unfortunately it's not working out so well. Annie quits school and becomes a teacher at Ruthie's school. Matt has trouble at the clinic as a patient seems to have problem, but the doctor won't treat her properly. Matt calls Hank and he finds out she has something life-threatening. The rude doctor quits and Hank and Matt take over for his shift. This was a good episode! I liked seeing Hank and Matt being responsible. Also Wilson's proposal at the end really looking foward to the next episode. It was nice seeing Hank and George again. I don't want to know what it's like to be in Eric's shoes while Annie is going through this weird process. Even though Simon wasn't a good waiter, his ability and love for math got him a promotion. I thought this was a great episode! 10 out of 10!moreless

    • When George is talking to Mary about managing Wilson and work at the same time, all of a sudden his voice changes significantly and then comes back to normal.

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Wilson: (to Mary) Marry me. We belong together and I love you.

    • Annie: Lately, with all the changes I've been going through I found that sometimes I'm more comfortable in the company of women. I love you, but you know, sometimes I need to talk to a woman.
      Eric: Why is that?
Annie: I don't know. Women-- we're all part of a club. Rich, poor, fat, thin, happy, unhappy-- we're all going through the same things. And you can be a lot of things for me, but no matter how hard you try, you'll never be a woman.
Eric: Never wanted to be until now. But I get your point. You and me, we're okay?
      Annie: We're better than okay.
Matt: (to Eric and Annie) I'm gonna be... a gynecologist.
Annie: Well, he does love women.

    • Annie: I'm quitting school.
      Eric: What?
Annie: I'm quitting school. No more college.
Eric: I didn't know how much teaching meant to you.
Annie: Well, it's not the teaching really. It's being around kids. You know how much I've always loved having children in my life, working with them, helping them. You know, in a couple of years Sam and David...they'll be in school. Ruthie's doing great. Simon's in high school. Robbie and Lucy are in college, Mary's in New York and Matt's going off to medical school. So...our kids need me, but they don't need me. If I teach every year, I'll have a new batch of kids who I'll need to help the way I helped our kids. It's the perfect job for me. All I have to do is take what I've been doing at home for the last 20 years and put it in the classroom. I can do it. I think I'll be good at it.
Eric: I'll help. I've always supported you in whatever you wanted to do. I love you. I want you to be happy.
Annie: I want to be happy, too.

    • Serena: That's the key, finding what makes you happy and doing it. I have a great relationship with my daughter. I'm more happy than I've ever been with my job and the men in my life - those are the things that bring me enjoyment....so, is there something that may help you enjoy life a little more? The way I see it, you do so much for so many people, maybe you need to do just something for yourself.
      Annie: Maybe.

    • Eric: (praying to God about Annie) Make her talk to me. Make her talk to me!

    • Eric: You know, you could be a minister when you grow up.
Ruthie: You got Lucy. Isn't that enough?

    • Eric: You know, in some ways your mother hasn't changed since the first day I fell in love with her 20 years ago.
      Matt: And in other ways?
Eric: She's mean. Really, really mean...I didn't mean it the way it sounded. I love her. It's just that lately it's a lot tougher to love her.
Matt: You know, I'm so glad I have to go to work because I don't like where this conversation is going.

    • Eric: Well, the most important things in life are what work we do and who we love.
Ruthie: What did you do to make Mom so angry?
      Eric: I didn't do anything.

    • Eric: (to Robbie and Lucy) Are you two going out again?
Lucy: Come on Dad. Robbie and I aren't dating...you have nothing to worry about. We're practically brother and sister.
Eric: (to himself) It's the "practically" that worries me.

    • Eric: We haven't spent time together...for a long time.
      Annie: It's been a week.
Eric: A week is a long time when you're in love.
