  • Kerry decides to make a video about how beautiful people get treated different for her school project.

Kerry makes a video about how beautiful people get treated differently. Bridgette is the star of her video and Kerry shows how shallow she is in the video. Bridgette doesnt like being called shallow so she decides to go play tennis with her dad. Her dad hits her in the nose with a tennis ball and her nose is broken. She doesnt want to go to school because she thinks she looks terrible and will get made fun of but her dad tells her people will like her anyways and its true because she gets treated the same and a little better and it makes Kerry mad because he ruins her point of the video but at the end this cute guy wants to talk to Kerry so shes not mad anymore and is happy to get attention from the guy.

Kerry is jealous of Bridget for Bridget can do no wrong. Videotaping Bridget, Kerry shows Bridget as shallow. Not liking this label, Bridget attempts to do something about and goes to play tennis with her dad, who ends up breaking her nose. The shallow part of Bridget shines as she lets it be known she does not want to go to school this way. After a talk with her father, she goes to school anyway to learn that guys like her no matter what. This breaks Kerry. She did all this great work and Bridget was the one who ended up with something. Only, she finds out she's wrong when a guy who watched the video wants to talk to her.

It's a great episode displaying a great message. First, it shows that beauty is on the inside and that if you do the hard work you will reap the reward.

One thing I did not understand is throughout the video Kerry showed some guy handing Bridget the homework he did for her in exchange for a digit of her telephone number, but her parents did nothing! Do they think their daughter is that dumb that the only way she can get by is if someone else does her work?
  • This episode is one of my favorites with John Ritter in it!

This episode is definatly my favorite! It has the right amount of humor in it, good storyline and has character development. The idea of Kerry making a video on how it all comes easy to the popular kids is a great idea, and it's even funnier when Bridget breaks her nose. I would reccomend watching this episode for any 8 simple rules fan, i know it is one of my favorites. I love the line "Bride of chuckys after barbie!" It has good character growth because Bridget realizes how shalow she can be. Umm, yeah. This is just a great installment in the series!
  • While not the funniest episode, definately has it moments.

The episode bases itself around how Kerry feels that beautiful people get special treatment (like Bridget).

The plot develops because Bridget ignorantly taped over Kerry's video project. Paul suggests that Kerry should film Bridget and Kerry loves the idea, thinking she can expose the injustice of it all.

One of the funniest things Kerry films is Bridget receiving biology homework from a guy, and in return she provides him with one digit of her phone number.

Bridget obviously get upset realising people think she's shallow, and after some confusing guidance from Paul, decides to try her hand at sport. The game of tennis doesn't go well and Bridget's nose is broken by Paul.

Rory is also particularly funny in this episode. I've never really liked his character, but he got a few good jokes in. Examples are when he pays out Bridget’s face impersonating Hannibal Lecter and when he puts on a protective face mask to play tennis with Paul.

Cate doesn't have a big role in this episode, but she makes a pretty funny joke to Paul regarding his paternity to Kerry after watching the completed movie.
