(as Cate rides on Matt's motorcycle)
Matt: You okay back there?
Cate: Great! Plus, my nails are drying!

(When everyone asks cate to do something for them)

Bridget: Want,Want,Want,Want.
Rory: Volcano,Volcano,Volcano.
Jim: Button LumberJack,Button LumberJack.

Grandpa Jim: C.J., [the pork] is still pink!
C.J.: That's the grape jelly!

C.J.: If you're still hungry, I've got a butt load of marshmallow pork left. It's going to spoil.
Grandpa Jim: Again.

Grandpa Jim: I think they got the message.
Rory: He threatened to beat us.

C.J.: I just thought you should know, I appreciate everything you do for me. Sure, I have to share a room with Gramps, and I don't get to use the car as often as I'd like....
Grandpa Jim: I think she gets the point.

Cate: I've got a family that worships me!
(Back at home)
Bridget: I say let her rot.

Cate: It's your wife! You said you left her!
Matt: I did.
Cate: When?
Matt: This afternoon, when I got your email.

Cate: (Yelling) Oh my God! It's the Purple Haze! It's exactly the same as it was when we were in college!
Matt: Cate, were off the bike.
Cate: Oh.

C.J.: We're doing substitute drinking.
Cate: Tonight?
C.J.: Yeah, it's a bar where all the real teachers go, but some can't make it so were filling in for them.

(In Cate's mind)
Bridget: Want! Want! Want! Need! Need! Need!
Kerry: Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
Rory: Help! Help!
Grandpa Jim: Button-lumberjack! Button-lumberjack!
C.J.: Why don't I have a girlfriend?

Grandpa Jim: Boy, if you were my kids and some years back, I'd be beating you right now!
C.J.: Yeah! And he'd make you go out back behind the barn and cut it too!
Rory: What barn?
C.J.: Yeah, in the fifties everyone had a barn!

Grandpa Jim: (to Cate) Please come out, sweetie. C.J.'s cooking pork and I'm scared for the children!

Cate: We have a front door.
Matt: Yeah, but you said you're dad lived here, so I thought this would be safer.

Bridget: Mom! Come out! Rory thinks he's gay!
Rory: What!?

Cate: Can't you wear something else?
Grandpa Jim: No, it's the lumberjack competition.
Cate: Can't you watch something else?
Grandpa Jim: You never did approve of log rolling, did you Cate?

Cate: I looked up an old boyfriend on the Internet.
C.J.: You old dog digging up a dog bone!
