Cate tells Paul that Bridget can't go on a date with Travis because it is a school night. In the next scene, Bridget tells Kerry about her date last night, and Cate tells Bridget good afternoon, so shouldn't she been in school? Also, Paul tells Cate that they would be chaperoning the dance tonight, and Cate says that it is her first Saturday night off. So all this proves that it was Friday night that Bridget had a date, and it was not a school night.
Kyle: Gtg.
Paul: What?
Bridget: Got to go...
Paul: And you say that and he leaves? Kyle gtg.
Bridget: Dad that was so rude, do I do that to one of your friends?
Paul: Uhh hello my house.
Paul: Come on Cate, dance with me.
Cate: Oh no, I'm not going to embarrass my daughter.
Paul: Fine, I'll dance by myself.
Cate: What is with you? You've got a man crush on Bridget's boyfriend.
Paul: No, it's his father. I mean! He's with his father!
Kerry: Dad, stop spying!
Paul: I'm not spying! Maybe a little at first, but then I got into the music.
Kerry: I'm tired of you looking at me like a little girl!
Paul: After watching you dance, I don't think I can again.
Paul: Hey, you want to dance?
Kerry: Sure! (Paul holds out his hand to dance) Not with you!
Tommy: Do you see fear in my eyes?
Paul: No.
Tommy: That's because it's hate.
Rory: Can I sit in the cart?
Cate: No!
Paul: (to Kerry) Please don't ask me to apologize for wanting to keep you my little girl.
Paul: Bridget, wipe your feet and take off the boy.
Paul: It was a big deal when I negotiated this. I wanted 10:30. You said midnight. I said ll. But the girls wanted two holes in each ear. So we settled on 11:30 and one hole in the ear.
Cate: I was there, Paul. I took the minutes.
Paul: What's it called when you're damned it you do, damned if you don't? Fatherhood.
Paul: Hey, Bridge, did you have a good time with Travis last night?
Bridget: Yes, daddy.
Kerry: I had a good time too.
Paul: No, you didn't. You were with us!
Kerry: Our father has to be the dumbest man that ever lived.
Bridget: Then why's he always on my case when I get a C?
Kerry: He thinks of me as some sort of virgin spinster, like Miss Havisham.
(Bridget has a confused look on her face)
Kerry: Great Expectations…?
(Bridget's still confused)
Kerry: Charles Dickens…?
(Bridget's still confused)
Kerry: A book…?
Bridget: She's in bed with him, and you do nothing?
Kerry: We're on a bed, not in a bed. Learn a preposition.
Kerry: I'm a balla, holla, holla back brother, uh huh.
Kerry: (shaking head) Like, Oh My God, My name's Bridget. I can't believe how much my head shakes when I talk.
At the end of this episodes theme song, Rory sprays some green silly string spray at the camera before shutting the door.
